NIGHT BEFORE THE ????

Good morning my friends. I am waiting for my  GDI to come and take me route training? Not too sure where we are going today? Not sure if I am looking forward to it? I have had a fantastic two days. Two days of pure escapism.

It was my birthday yesterday and the day before Hub and I prepared for a night away in our local hotel. It was the first time I would have left teen overnight, on his own. I was a little anxious an yet knew I had to get out for my sanity. I was really excited and nervous at the same time. A small case was packed, we were to leave three dogs with teen. We fed them first and let them out, so there was only a couple of jobs for him to do with them, let them out again before bed and get their beds out. Hmm. Another story to come later.

I told him I had some friends from church going to pass bby, to watch the house, ha. Not quite true? OK, not at all true, and he is not stupid either, he didn’t believe a word.  I cooked his tea and kissed him  till laters, and off we went in our taxi. On our arrival, my taxi door was opened by the concierge. And I said goodbye to the real life and entered absolute wonder.

Nothing  was a trouble to the staff, or us. We just enjoyed everything. Our room was lovely, we did  something I was never allowed to do with my X, take something from the bar? Haha haha. Guess what it was? Come on Bloggets, if you have been readers  for a while, and you know me, this is the test, what would I first go for in the bar?

………………….

“Crisps!” haha haha.

They were lovely thank you very much, and so they blooming should be for £4?

Hub had some odd nuts, hahahahaha.

He brought with him a bottle of champagne.  And we enjoyed.

Then we dressed for dinner and a concierge came for us. Escorted us to a table in the bar whilst we had a drink, OK, by this time, I was a little jolly. But don’t worry, I behaved myself.

Oh, I can act like a lady don’t you know?

It is, an act though? Ha.

We were shown to our table and it was a nice table we thought the same one as when we came with hub for his birthday tea.

A table with a view of the history of our town.

So I was told by the internet research and one  has an imagination, Hub and I just thought it was rather fun that they keep giving us a table next to the window.

Oh the meal was really lovely, We had a pre starter, a starter a main course and a pre dessert, then  our decotant dessert.

OMG? That was like a piece of art. I really don’t know how long it took to prepare that, but it was unbelievable?

Lots of white chocolate shapes with fruit that I have never tasted and tastes in which I can not even describe.

Hub agreed as he did not want to put the last forkful of food in his mouth, to say goodbye to heaven.

He had smoked stake for his main dish. There was not much choice for vegetarians this surprised me.

But the   warm  homemade bread with the spiced butter, made up for that, and my starter of soup  full of flavour, made up for it too.

But the dessert, oh my word? Hub had re constructed Tiramisu “I am sure I would have spelt that wrong?

We people listened that is always fun, I love to guess peoples occupation and reasons for being in the hotel? Ha.

Who is there on a naughty night, who is plotting on what company member to cut up and in what state the families are in?

In our room it was the game of finding out for ourselves what was in the room and how to work it?  The concierge asked us if he could show us anything in the room, we said we were fine and as soon as he closed the door, Hub and I were like two children, searching to see what we could find. I found a place in my suitcase for the delightful toiletry’s, they were of a make in which I recognised and loved. We admired the bath with its taps at the top of the bath and the water coming out from the  normal place at the bottom. Oh the bath was huge? It was so relaxing and the bed was enormous. So comfortable and wonderful pillows. I slept like a log. And if you have ever seen a log sleeping, you will know, they sleep mighty well? Ha.

We had the best breakfast. Oh the waiters spoke to us so well and so very correctly. I just loved it, I could be someone else. No one knew me and I was in paradise.

The funny thing was among all of the politeness, the head waiter, when I said thank you  to him, he took  a bit of  my hair, curled it around his finger and  stroked my face,  and said in a Daddy to child way,

“You are welcome? Hahaha. It was so cute. And I am sure not the thing to do, but though in a hotel where I am sure there will be difficult posh snobs, I am not one of them and to me he was just being sweet.  Teen survived the night on his own, we had our morning fill of a full English breakfast, without meat for me of course, and my birthday  treat was  half over, but what a day to come? Meeting with my mad aunt? OMG? You will not believe the next story, about what  happened next? xxx
