A SILLY POEM BY FIONA CUMMINGS

A NEW WORLD
By Fiona Cummings

Close your eyes

Wait for a surprise

Puddle pies

And rainbow skies

Fizzy socks

And chocolate flies

Banana drops

And coco pops

Lemonade rain

A sugar aeroplane

 Ice cream snow

And cherry chips to go

Coconut mushrooms

Bubble gum balloons

Cute candy kittens

And fudge fingered mittens

Marshmallow pillows

And jelly armadillos

A pink friendly spider

A butterscotch saucer

And a liquorish cup

A silver plated pup

With a fresh cream ball

Playing with a golden giraffe

Who stands so tall

And a hyena with an infectious laugh

Tossing a toffee mouse so small

A blueberry bunny

 Watching bees making purple honey

A caramel clown

 Trying to be funny

To wipe away a frown

From a child’s sad little face

A puff pastry boot

With  a spaghetti lace

Tropical plants with a platinum root

Grass of orange blades

Wild flowers all shades

Custard waves

Beautiful mermaids

Diamond shells

Trumpet sounding bells

Ringing  drums

An ebony guitar

Playing under a shooting star

Voices echo from a far

Singing what a mix up world we live in

But lots of giving

Though upside down

And inside out

  No need to shout

As whispers can be heard

And beautiful songs from a turquoise bird

A donkey eats a purple carrot

On its back is a crystal parrot

How in this world can anyone not smile

Lets dream about it for a littlewhile
