BUTTERFLY VISIONS
BY FIONA CUMMINGS
Butterfly visions
Carefree decisions
Wonderful perfumes
No modern day fumes
Beautiful blossom hangs from the trees
Bowing down to its knees
Rejoicing in the gentle breeze
Kissing star like petals
Poking from the nettles
Hanging colours from the basket
My place in the garden to escape
Birds sing their happy tune
The sun shines on its way to the moon
In summer this is my room
Fresh air
Without a care
Wind blowing through my hair
No one to stare
No criticisms so absurd
Only nature can be heard
Water trickles from the pond I love
Days like this
I’m so fond of
