THIS GREAT MAN

OK this is a story of absolute dedication and selflessness. My Husband has a fantastic colleague and friend, who sadly has left the organisation. He has given his life to the RNIB for 23 years, though is fully sighted himself. He has worked out of his job specification to achieve many successes at goals which were just a dream to others, but to this great man, a must. Vision for a future when it comes to technology for blind people in the UK and even around the world. This person, Richard, has done marathons all over the country and world, to raise money for blind people and what has he received in return?

I’m sure, expense of running shoes and outfits, pain and blisters.

He has recently found out, he is not as healthy as he hoped for, an yet he still goes on. He also has just had to leave the company to whom he has worked so very hard for in achieving so much for us all. Not for himself, as I said, he is sighted. He is a person, who sees through blind eyes, thinks as a blind person, but can reach the sighted world with his ability to be able to see the future for visually impaired people.

I don’t know what we will do without him, I have never had the good fortune to meet with this great guy, but I hope to as a friend, rather than my Husbands colleague in the future.

I will miss his name and miss what has been done by him. I just hope we can find someone who is half as good, and then we will move on in memory of an absolute hero.

Now if someone is losing their job, they would just go through the motions?

Not Richard. No, he is giving his all until the end. He is doing one more marathon for the RNIB.

We as blind people need the RNIB in the UK and all over the world, as I said, my Husband works hard in the USA and India, to name two countries out of the many he travels. Together the countries work in sharing ideas and swapping technology which will become useful for us blind people.

We are not greedy, we want to share, so please if you can spare some time and change in linking to the link below, please help this amazing guy and needing company. You will be helping Richard, to show your support, not just for a person who as a husband and Father, but for a good Samaritan who has to be the most selfless man around. In a world of greed, this man doesn’t know of such a word.

You will be helping an organisation, who is an non-profit company who are there for blind people and people who are unaware that they could be losing their sight. They help to save sight too, by working hard to promote good eye care and knowledge. The RNIB also work with schools to help our children who have sight problems, or whom may in the future.

This could be you? Remember, 100 people in the UK alone, start to lose their sight per day?
