MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH LOVE AND PARCELS OF HOPE

Good afternoon Bloggets. It’s Christmas Eve and our house smells lovely. All Christmassy.  Hub has made two stuffing’s. One for me without meat and with sausage meat and so on for him and Teen.

I lost count how many potatoes I have pealed. We did the homemade mushy peas and carrots are ready with turnip and cabbage. Tomorrow we will do the parsnips and sprouts. Hub has made sausages with bacon wrapped around them and Teen and I will make the mixture for Yorkshire puddings later to go in the fridge for tomorrow’s full oven.

We are still waiting for the turkey to defrost. Well, I really bought a huge one this year. There is just the two of them who eat it, but it will get eaten you watch. We have cranberry sauce too. We will have mash potatoes and roast. Teen has just lit a candle with cinnamon fragrance. So we are all set. Tonight we have television to watch and of course we will light a candle       for all the souls we were fortunate to know and those who passed unknown to us.

Carols are on the radio in the background and we have some mince pies for Santa when he calls later. If of course we have been good girls and boys.

Our dog toys are ready but we need to wrap them. The smells are amazing and I’m sure driving the dogs crazy.

So all that is left is for me to wish you all a beautiful Christmas. Whether you have family around with you or if you are on your own. I hope the day will be full of hope and peace. If you are on your own, its one day only and you don’t have a squabbling family arguing over the TV. Smile.

With love and best wishes. Cheers.  X
