JUST BEFORE BED (FIONA CUMMINGS)

Just before bed. The smell from the roast beef I cooked the boys for dinner lingers from my kitchen. My darling Husband is putting the dishes away from the dish washer. Teen has some music on from his bedroom and it really does sound like Christmas as our two dogs are walking around with their bells on their collars.

Outside the winter is making itself known as the breeze of teen’s brief departure for some seconds as he entered the garage to turn off the dryer and left the porch door open.

Not on your Nellie am I going in there until I know its bat free. Not after the incident this afternoon.

Hoping for a lay in tomorrow morning as we have had some weeks of earlies and some days ahead too of people visiting so have to be up and awake.

Going to have a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a gingerbread snowman before bed.  Smile. And why not?

So some words before I go to bed.

Life is ten per cent of what you experience and ninety per cent what you do with it! Do you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future? Take control of your thoughts; don’t allow them to control you.   Without storms in our life, how would we know calm? Now it’s how to deal with the storms.

I hope you can take to your slumber with gentle warmth and fall into a peaceful paradise of perfect promises in your dreams and as you wake in the morn, you will remember your dream and fulfil it. Goodnight Bloggets and sleep well. X
