A BONE IN MY COFFEE

Good afternoon my friends and family. The snow has gone here, though the icy cold  still keeps us company. We got ready today and went out for our adventure. I was quite anxious, but very excited. Would Waggatail do the route? Hub has never done it before so it was up to us two,  to, get us there  though Hub had a huge roll, as there was no way I would have gone on my own.

So we passed the drive Waggatail likes to visit, without us going up, but, I had to work hard in getting  her past it. We managed to pass the bushes which are coming out in vengeance for the springtime. Well, at least something is coming out for the spring, as the warmer weather is not, that is for sure?

The sun shun brightly but the battle between the frosty cold and the yellow stuff from the sky, had a sure  victorious winner, with the chilling ice wind, which cut through us like a sharpened blade.

We  stood at the main road to cross towards the bus stop, via the park? Our dogs were delighted as they thought they were  going to play. When we stood there, Hub said, quick, there is our bus?

He wanted to cross over the dare devil he is, I told him not to, as we did not know there was not a car behind the bus, which would pull out?

I said reassuringly,

“Don’t worry, streight after this bus, is another one?” The first bus pulled away,  as did the second one? Hahahahahaha. Hub said in his dry tone,

“Yes, and there it goes?”

“Oopsy?

Well we crossed the road dragging our dogs away from the entrance of the park. There eyes  must have been popping out as the collars were certainly tight, as we dragged them up the path. Towards, the  bus stop? Would I find the  bus stop, as there is, nothing to signify where it is.

I asked when I knew we were in the general area, for Waggatail, to find the post to the right.

She did, she put her little sniffy nose on the bus stop poll.

What a clever girl?

We waited no more than ten minutes, this  is the great thing about living here, the busses are so regular.

A bus came, and Hub confidently got on. Oh I was rubbish, as was Waggatail. They don’t train guide dogs now to find doors on busses. It is such a bad thing.

Oh, I found it  eventually. We got a seat and two stops later, we were there. .

Well, normally, I would walk forward, so I did? Except the blooming bus, pulled up too early, as there was a bus in front so a kind lady had  to direct us forward.

We were on track and Waggatail worked like a treat. Streight to the pet shop. Of course we bought a toy and some long chews for the three of them. The toy was one of those indestructible rubber bones? Hmm? It looks six months old already, and  it is three hours old.

Anyway, we came out of the pet shop, £10 lighter, and went into the coffee shop. Had a drink and snack and then off to the bus. She was amazing. The bus was waiting for us, but did not have its engine on, so because of all the sounds coming from the very busy main road, we were oblivious to our awaiting transport, until it started up to go on his way. Hub shot off and on the bus….

Oh, God, where was he? In fact, where was I? hahahahaha. Waggatail just started to make her way back to the pet shop? In the end we got to the bus, she is a nightmare though for finding the bus doors. I was told that when Guide dog instructors are training us, they are only to do one bus trip and one train journey. Crazy.

On the way back, we / Hub pressed the button in very good  time,  but the driver, continued driving…. Oh well,  he stopped at last and we got home, luckily we know that road well.

So a good job little Waggatail and of course, Long Chops, is always fantastic. Little Black beauty was waiting for us, lovingly pleased to see us and she still had the toy we left her with with the treat inside of it. But LC, soon changed that.

Hub off to the capital again tomorrow and teen after school, to a fashion show with Bunches. Oh,  and Bunches Mother…..

Very kind of Mother to take him?  Teen really gets on very well with Bunches Mum and Dad he has even met with the Grandmother.

I am glad so glad about that, as he needs a family. Oh when she  came last night, he is so in love with her.

Laters gators.
