EASTER SUNDAY BY FIONA CUMMINGS

BY FIONA CUMMINGS

As the fields of yellow

Fill my heart with feelings so mellow

The fragrance of lilac blooms

And the sounds of the black birds tunes

My heart falls in love with this time of year

Easter bonnets

Little fluffy rabbits

New born lams

Bouncing in the farm lands

The bitter winter goes to sleep

As the Easter season begins to creep

Slowly dark turns to light

And our days can kiss the night

A land of promises for better days to come

Where baskets are full of fun

On a pew I perch

Such a view from my church

All gathering to pray

For this special day

Easter Sunday
