A SPRING DAY BY FIONA CUMMINGS

A HAPPY SPRING DAY

BY FIONA CUMMINGS

The blackbirds sing

As we welcome spring

The church bells ring

As we head for the hills

Full of yellow daffodils

Brighter nights

Longer days

No more haze

Just sunrays

April delights

Chocolate fountains

Jumping bunnies

Fluff ball lams

Ice cream vans

End of winter

So they say

I’m just waiting for a warmer day

As cool April showers dance with the sun

 Tiny ducklings having fun

Rivers flow

Under the rainbow

An Easter hunt for a pot of gold

Excited faces and hand to hold

On our way

For a happy spring day
