WALKING HOME UNDER THE MOONLIGHT

Well I eventually fell asleep at four this morning, listening to some music; it was not too good the music last night, too old and Motown. Don’t like that kind of music. Got up this morning with heavy eyes, I suspect I look a right one now after a month of little sleep? I let the dogs out and groomed them; the smell of smoke filled the air. I heard loads of emergency services go by early this morning, so a huge fire somewhere? Hope all okay with people and animals? I must admit, I love the smell of smoke, not cigarettes, but fire smoke. Reminds me of cosy times as a child in front of the coal fire at home. The crackling sound is so lovely? Oh I went to buy a new fire some months ago and looked at those ones that you put on the wall, like a flat T.V screen? The salesman boasted that it even came with authentic sounds, of a real fire? I got so excited and was ready to buy the fire there and then.

He reluctantly plugged it in; I know why he was reluctant? I just stood back, waiting for him to tell me it was broken? No, that was the sound you got. Like a leaky tap. This day in age, why can they not get simple things right?

The  teen on his way out of the door, this morning, going to school, picked up a postcard. A delivery had been made at seven and obviously, he did not ring the doorbell, as Long chops, would have told the street, with her bark. So he left the boxes, huge around the side of the house, well, thank God, it was not Hubs kindle, on its way from the states? It was BB’s and LC’s dog food! I, mean, its guide dog food, and they leave a postcard telling you it has been left around the house somewhere? One, how can I read the card? Two, then I have to find it and it is becoming a bit of a game right now, as last time, they left it in the large wheelie bin. Am I really that scary? They can’t knock at my door? “Don’t answer that one?”

Gosh, my Canary, “Irish, hahaha, is singing his little socks off again. I wonder what he is saying?

He is so easy to keep and he is so very sweet, though I know gets on visitor’s nerves, as never stops singing. I have a friend who has an Irish fancy canary, and his hardly sings, mine never stops. You feed it what you can buy in pet shops and what the earth has to offer us. There seeds have to be for canaries and no other kinds of birds. Many seeds have many different values but mixed together they make up a balanced diet. Most canary mixes contain plain canary, black or red rape, linseed and some niger seed. It is very important that your seed is clean and dry, dusty or mouldy seed can be very harmful to your birds. Grit is another important aspect in your feeding program. The reason for grit in the canary’s diet is that canaries don't have teeth so they need grit to digest their food. Can you imagine, a tiny canary, with big goofee teeth? The food is stored in the crop where it is softened, then it is passed to the canaries gizzard were the gizzard's muscular action grinds it up along with the grit so digestion can take place. The next thing and a very important one is Water the essence of all life, clean fresh water is a must and should never be neglected. Now we come to the Green food there are many different types to choose from such as lettuce, broccoli, Spinnage, Cabbage etc. I also feed Peas (Petit Peas) which are bought frozen I found these to be a great substitute for the green food. Then there are the wild seeds and weeds, which are an excellent source of vitamins, and are "free" you must collect them from an area that is not sprayed, weeds such as dandelion groundsel chickweed plantain. There are lots to choose from. Then we come to Soft food were there is also many different products on the market;

I remember telling the teen, that his bird should have dandelions and he said he would go to the shop, and buy some dandelion & Burdock? Ha, that is a soda, in the U.K! I told him, no, they are wild weeds!

Well my shopping came and the guessing game began. All square boxes feel the same when they are frozen and packets are a mystery. Most things I can guess, but really so much you buyis so alike? Dates are a problem too, Roll on the next application to come out for the Iphone, will tell us what the food is in the boxes and tins.?

I have different drawers in my freezer top one vegetarian food for me, second one, fish, third one meat fourth bread etc and fifth anything I don’t have room for?

On my way to the freezer today, I didn’t meet with my neighbour? Shame, he is so funny?

Just got back from the parent teacher meeting at my teens school. We went by taxi and climbed up four flights of stairs. God, I wondered, were we going to the loft? Then the teen, realised, we had gone a flight too high, so came down, and found where we were to go. It’s never easy, we covered quite a lot of floor!

It was so funny, he has totally avoided seeing his graphics teacher, he does not feel comfortable with her and he filled all of the form in to say what teacher I was allowed to see? Haha, the ones he wanted me to see! And it was the subjects where he was doing well? Ha.

So as we  walked in, who was standing waiting for him? Yep, his graphics teacher. She said,

“Ah, I thought you were not coming tonight?”

He got all flustered, it was so funny, but then as she turned to his I.T teacher, she asked him to make sure he showed us where she was when we were finished with him? Teen said, “But I have two other teachers to see?” She said, it’s okay, see me first? Haha. She was determined to see him!

Well we were escorted like criminals, and saw his graphics teacher, and she was lovely. She is really a good teacher and want’s teen to do well, in fact all of his teachers, were so positive towards him and predicted him very good exam results. God knows how as he will not study?

We walked home. It was lovely. Just chatting and hopefully, getting through to him he can do well? His teachers said he is a perfectionist and does not do failure, takes after me for that and it is a bad thing, because you only do what you do well so won’t venture out at new things, though my trips to the town is another thing, that we are not perfect at, hahaha, as you will know by my blogs? So I guess I am learning to do things very wrong too?

We walked past a huge Gypsy campsite and down narrow lanes of deserted landscape in the distance. Along silent roads and could hear all of the wildlife saying goodnight to each other. It was a calm night and I really enjoyed it. We passed the large lake and could hear the water greeting the moon. Brushed by all of the hedges and the hanging trees, bowed to respect us as we passed them. I felt so safe though, even when we came across a drunk man, climing a wall? Hahahaha. Then there was a old lady, riding her bike, well someones bike, as she did not have a clue how to ride it? It was a lovely walk, teen thought it was funny as one of his teachers, pulled away from the car park of the school and she stalled the car three times, before she hit the main road? God, I hope she did not have far to go?

Hub and colleagues are still in Thailand, and they have all come down with a bug? Not good, but so far, my Husband, is still managing to do meetings/conferences. A couple of the colleagues though are stuck in their rooms.

My Hub did meet with the Thai Princess. He said people were shocked at how old she was and surprised with her choice of outfit for the day? She also looked rather bored throughout the day?

Well only five more sleeps for us before he is home for five weeks. Yea! Thank God for my bf (best friend) who has kept me right though through out the month.

Next blog will be about me buying this house we are now living in. Hope you are all well my friends and will talk soon. X
