SPRING TIME
BY FIONA CUMMINGS
A new sun
Yellow daffodils
Fantastic fun
And spring time thrills
Colourful clowns show their tricks
Lemon popsicles on sticks
Green hills
Lolloping lambs
Goodbye chills
New leaves forming fans
Chocolate kisses
Ice cream wishes
Butterfly bunting
Easter hunting
April showers
Silver drops
Bouncing bunnies, on hillside hops
How I love this time
of year
Coming to town is the springtime fair
With candy floss
And toffee to share
Bertie bear
And the merry go round
The wind up organ
Makes a fantastic sound
Try your luck
Catch a plastic duck
Or shoot a coconut
Dunking doughnut
Or a bag of chips
Float the battle ships
Just enjoy
For all ages
Girl or boy
The summer is around the corner
This is just the rehearsal
With sunsets to dazzle
Days with no hassle
Golden sand making a castle
The spring is upon us
So clime on the bus
The magical tour
From winter blues
An amazing cure
Life could never be so pure
Forget the darkness
And look for the bird nest
Abundant of blooms
All colours like balloons
Wind chimes playing tunes
Its springtime
Is it your favourite part of the year?
As for sure it’s mine
