PRETTY IN PINK BY FIONA CUMMINGS
On top of the tree there is a beautiful fairy
She has a satin dress in the colour of pink
And an angelic smile I think
As her face has no features
An yet she is as pretty as a picture
Her feathery wings form shadows on the wall
She makes my small tree seam so tall
Her long gold hair folds over her fine lace
That frames her tiny porcelain face
A silver crown upon her head
A diamond tear she does shed
For those who will not be with us this Christmas
All loved ones from our past
And a promise any pain won’t last
But also a tear of joy for a starry future
Up on clouds we can fly
In a snowy December sky
Over trees bowing to their knees
And frozen rivers and a lonely lake
Dancing on a giant chocolate cake
And she knows we are going to be happy
And will grant us one wish
In the hall hangs some mistletoe, for that Christmas kiss
Candy sticks in a dish
And sugar mice hang from the tree
Twinkling lights and musical snow globes
Is what Christmas is to me
