A CHRISTMAS VISIT

Happy Monday my friends. Well what a day we had yesterday? We got up at the time of dawn, when the ice had not gone away from the day and the birds were just clearing the table from their breakfast.  When the sun was just putting its hat on and Jack  Frost was kissing the cold of the night goodbye till later. So, OK, we have established we were up early?

We caught the train, in plenty of time, after standing on the station as it pulled in, with our  huge suitcase, full of Christmas gifts for our friends, We just thought we would give poor old Santa clause a helping hand to deliver presents!

I was surprised how empty the train was. It was a quick journey just over an hour. Our friends Husband, Mr Grumpy met us at the station. He was as cheerful as ever and even kinder than ever too,  bless him, sometimes I wonder if it is all bravado with him, then I hear something he moans about and realise he is being serious.

We did the half hour trip to our friends house, Hub in front of car, with his Long chops of a guide dog and my Black beauty was in the boot, with the suitcase.

When we arrived we went to get BB out of the back and she was lying flat out on top of the case, the case we were so careful with not to bang, in fear of anything breaking? Hahaha. Inside there were chocolate dogs, that we bought at the chocolatier as well as all the presents, So Christmas day, will be able to tell, if the gifts survived our little Labrador.

Our friend was lovely as ever.  I really care for her, she is a sweetie!

One of her dogs was still at the vets having three tumours removed, but Mr Grumpy was to pick her up later on  in the day. We had a cup of tea and biscuits and then our lunch. It was really delicious, everything from M&S and if it did not come out of plastic, it for sure pingd, as it was cooked in the microwave, Haha. Go girl? She is lovingly known for her ping food, if it doesn’t make the sound  of ping, it doesn’t get cooked.

But it’s class food as she proudly tells us it’s from M&S. ha.

After our lunch, where our teen was as helpful as possible, as he always is, serving and clearing up, our other friend came in, she is a huge blog, as she is an amazing person. We spoke with her and then in came the poor little ill dog from the vets. Oh bless her, I hope she will be OK, guess how much the vet charged? £2597

And we don’t know if the poor thing will survive?

We exchanged gifts and had tea, I was still full from lunch but we ate, well, it would be rude not to? Ha.

Sat in the living room again, whilst Hub and teen played with the tiny new IPad. Hub got it to  talk and found things like news and  what he found interesting, was the music on it, you can play the guitar or whatever you wish to play, by touching the pad and he played the drums. The harder you push the screen, the louder and harder the drum will beet.

We said our sad goodbyes and headed back home. It was so cold and we passed loads of homeless people, huddled together on a bench or in corners of buildings. My Teen told us how he felt so sorry for them and I found it so hard to comprehend how they could last the night in the bitter cold of the December night?

Back home in the warmth and the smells of Christmas in our house. I thought in the scale of life, I am lucky!

Hub is off work now and I have the dentist to go to later again, God, and tomorrow my mad aunt comes and we hit the town. God help us?

Till tonight my Bloggets with love.
