NATIVITY DAY

What a wonderful day? Well we got up early and got dressed for church. I was so anxious about the Nativity play, though my Husband went yesterday for a rehearsal as he was to play the music, and he reassured me that the children would be good on the day.

Hub took Long chops to the piano and my friend and I were escorted to a seat and our lovely friend from Newcastle, sat next to us. The plum lady came to say hello, she is called Audrey, but we call her the plum lady as she was the one to give us some fruit in the summer, when we were asked if we wanted some plums, we thought we would get half a dozen, (6) but we got the biggest bag with about fifty plums in. They were delicious too

everyone was so friendly as ever. Our lovely funny Welsh friend was there with sweet wife and pretty daughter, we are going out with them next week and I am looking forward to that.

Hub started to play the piano as people walked into the building. Because my friend from my old home town who was sat next to my friend and I could see, she told me about all the children who were lined up at the back of the room, all in their costumes. My nerves were shaking and heart reassured me that it was beating inside of me!

Then it was time to start and the little girl who played Mary was brilliant. She even sang the country and western song, that was such a difficult song to sing for her as it was real country, but she did it with style. What a little sweetheart. The angel who also opened the production, was floorless in the way she spoke. Joseph was hilarious and so obviously enjoyed his comical lines he was asked to say. The whole show was funny as intended I absolutely was so proud of the children and all those who were involved in helping them to get that far. My coffee cup friend, was wonderful with ehe kids and Hub of course was his normal genius with his playing. How proud I felt and just wanted to hug the kids. They are all so lovely. One little girl in particular, with the beautiful name Evie, is the most inspirational child I have ever met.

She is only seven and shows such interest that is incredibly genuine, about how we manage to write cards at Christmas and even offered to come after school and write our cards for us, bless her? We told her we were OK, but every time Hub has Braille at church, she loves to keep the sheet and asks so many questions about it. I really believe that she will go far in life to help people. Hub is going to write her a Brail alphabet card for her to learn some dots, he told her and she was really delighted! Hub showed her where he had written a mistake in his Braille, which is funny, as he is Head of Braille in his job, but I was dictating to him and it was my fault he did it, but Hub played the scene and told her he was silly and had done this, well, she loved that, and went to our friend who is also blind and showed him the mistake. He said it was exactly where the mistake was, so she remembered where Hub had told her. She told hub that she had kept his last sheet too, in her bedroom at home. She escorted me out and gave us all a hug. She is adorable and has a very loving Dad. It is so lovely to see there are people in the world who still are caring. Rare but rich!

We took a birthday gift to our friend who runs the local restaurant and bless him, he said it made his birthday us going to see him, so sweet.

A very blessed day and to top it all, spoke to my BF online. XXXXX
