JACK FROST

As you know I was really scared about the Cathedral yesterday? Well we went out at five to six for the six o clock bus. I left Black beauty in the house, as it was so cold and the floor in the Cathedral for her to lay on, is so cold. The people there bring a carpet for Long chops, but we can’t expect two from them?

I hung onto Hubs arm and off we went to the bus stop. We stood for thirty minutes waiting for the bus, it was running late by half an hour, so to be on time  for the concert, was rather close!

The bus was packed, but we found a seat, by the time we got half way to town, it was so full, there were even people in the isle.

Hub got his IPhone out and it tells us when we are there, though he is getting to know the route now. I have not got a clue where I am? Hahaha. We could go over a  steep bank, a train track and twists and turns in the road and I still would not know where I was! Haha haha.

As we approached the town, I got up, Hub was getting out of his seat and the bus pulled  up hard. I fell into a very tall and thank God strong man’s arms. Hahahahahaha. He was so sweet as he caught me and as I laughed he asked me if I was OK? Of course I was, but really you can’t take me anywhere without me showing myself up? Hub calmly walked down the bus no trouble, everyone knows I am leaving the bus! discretion is not my middle name! Hub says I am like a sledge hammer.

We ran to the Cathedral, we could hear the bells, they were playing a tune, a Christmas carol. It sounded beautiful. The air was full of Christmas weather, Jack Frost nibbled on my fingers, but I had my lovely new coat on keeping my body warm. It is purple and I love it. I  wore black velvet trousers and a  black jumper, with purple earrings and purple hand bag. Would we be in time? Would we be able to find the right gap in the cut to the entrance? We did, well our LC did. She was fantastic. I love to see her work. She weaves in and out of obstacles and party people so  gracefully and she found the right small gap in the wall to cut through. It is a tiny passage and a little spooky but cuts out loads  of walking. There were crowds of people queuing to go in, but LC had a better idea rather than queuing, she would go to the front! How embarrassing? Haha haha. To find the back of a  queue though is really hard. So we were escorted to our seats and a carpet was brought for our dog. She was so good. Just lays there throughout the performance. It was quite nice and there were no lectures on how we should say sorry for our sins, just Christmas carols and beautiful poems were read. The choir were faultless and sounded like glass whistling through water. Pure and simple with echoes of perfection, ringing through the vast Cathedral. There was a brass band there and that was fantastic. An author was there reading and a TV presenter, who needs to learn the word retirement!” His face was so full of Botox, he was hardly audible!

I don’t know how Hub knows when to stand up, but he does and he was right each time.

There was no one sitting next to me or I could feel if they were standing up and no one next to Hub. He sang in his wonderful voice and it was good to hear him and his talent.

The kind usher, came for  us at the end and as she walked us to the exit, the brass band played all of the Christmas songs. We did our  walk to the bus stop found it perfectly and waited for about twenty minutes. The town was packed. On the bus on the way home,  I called my teen who was making tea for our friend coming. Friend had just arrived he had to wait for a taxi for over an hour so was not in the best of moods. He took his wet dog upstairs and teen told our friend she was not allowed as he knows, but dog and friend took no notice to teen so teen got the dog by her collar and brought her downstairs. He knows we don’t have the dog up there, he was just pushing his luck. She is  a lovely dog and well behaved but I don’t like dogs in the bedrooms.

So the night was  OK and now, Teen is in the town, Hub  went to rehearsal at church, I wished I had gone but did not want to leave friend on his own, having said that, he has been in the bath, ever since Hub left.  So I should have gone, though friends dog would have been in our bathroom?

Tonight we are going to our local wonderful Chinese restaurant,  called Moulon. Tomorrow, is the Nativity play that I will publish to you soon, though if your first language is not English, I am not sure you will understand the humour?

Oh our phone rang yesterday morning whilst we were still in bed. It was an automated voice asking if I would participate in a survey? I pressed the right button to say  I would as it was only to be two minutes. I answered all the questions on how satisfactory was I with the service I was given at our bank? How good was the advice I was given? Out of five, how many would I give for the waiting time five being very good and so on. Well after I answered the questions and put the phone down, as we have two banks, I turned to hub and asked

“So, what bank did I say was calling me?

He said

“You’re  unbelievable, you answered questions on service and you did not know what bank you were talking about?” I just said, “Oh well, they are all the same.  Then thought, what a silly  person I am?

Well I was  half a sleep!

Most of what I wanted to write about, I can’t as certain  people would report to a certain person, so I have to really limit what I say in this blog, but what a weekend we are in for ?

Till later my Bloggets. xxxxxx
