ENERGISED

Good day Bloggets. Are you feeling energised? Smile, I’m so not, they say replace coffee in the mornings with water, if that isn’t appealing to you, add lemon to your water, as this hydration is essential. And if water with lemon also doesn’t float your boat, try green tea, but remember never when making herbal tea, boil the kettle fully. It spoils your herbal tea. This is for herbal only, not good old proper tea. Seriously though, green tea has so many benefits, I won’t bore you with detail, but check it out?

The other advice I have been reading about to give you more energy is to have a good night’s sleep, haha, OK, as easy as that, well as I have touched on other blogs, take a bath before bed, don’t use any technology before bed and we are all addicted to tech whether it be your IPod like me, or any other kind of screen. It’s scientifically proven that this is one way to make sure your sleep pattern is disturbed. They say to move so we are tired and sluggish so we move?

Yes, as by moving, you will give yourself more energy. It’s written in many studies that by doing 20 minutes of exercise three times per week, yes, per week, boosts your energy by 20%. Exercise also releases endorphins in your body and makes you feel happier and less tired. Get in fresh air, research shows that fresh air boosts your energy level in 90% of people.

I guess all we can do is try before we buy? I mean, when I say buy, make it a life changing experience. If we give it a couple of weeks, then be honest with ourselves, and check out the results? Email me if you are going to do this and let’s do our own Blogget survey. My email is

Well a couple of days my Son will be on his way on his boy’s holiday. All ten of them… God help me for the next almost couple of weeks. I just hope he is careful in the sun? Did you know, well this is what I read, that the person to blame if you like for making tanning popular in the 1920’s, and so called fashionable, was Coco Chanel?

Would you put your face in a burning hot oven or grill? But you go out in the sun without protection?  When looking for sun cream, the words on the bottle can be so confusing, what to buy, factor wise and so on.

Well reading today about what to look out for on the packaging, it says to look for (Broad Spectrum) This gives you full protection from all of the suns rays.  Antioxidants like vitamin E, plant extract and green tea are all beneficial. Buy water resistant formula’s cream and apply every two hours. I believe the lowest SPF you should go for is 30.

Best to apply indoors as if you do it in direct sunlight, it’s said not to be as affective and take your time as if you do it in a hurry, you are more likely to miss bits. So, how much of the cream should we use? I read about a blob the size of a £2 coin for each limb front and back, it’s easy to forget the backs of our legs. On your face, a blob the size of a £1 coin and use two layers but with a gap of a few moments in between each layer. Now, this is boring and time consuming, but so is going for tests and chemotherapy, right?

We need the sun for vitamin D, for our bones and to make us feel much better in ourselves, but again a little, we can get a lot of vitamin D through our diet, that word again. So what foods give us vitamin D? Oily fish, eggs and cheese as well as some, serials. Being safe is better than being sad with sunburn. It’s easy to forget the nights where we can’t turn over without feeling like we have spent the day on a BBQ and as for a light sheet on us when we have sunburn? Pain.

Another really important thing to remember, we can get damaged even when it is cloudy. Don’t think it comes from direct sunlight. Now this one surprised me. Wear close tight weaved fabrics, rather than lose cottons or cheese cloths. Drivers, glass does not protect you against UVA.

So I’m ready for the sun, now on this rainy day in the UK, can someone please push the powerful light this way?
