DIARY OF THE ART through MY WINDOW

Hello Bloggets hope you are all fit? Today my friend Arty came and we went out for a walk with Waggatail. The sun was shining and the winds were kind. It wasn’t too cold even near the lake. But the leftover evidence from our rain yesterday was on the field, so mud was not our friend but it did introduce itself to us.

Waggatail was so funny; she found the smallest bit of felt from a destroyed tennis ball. Really there was a thumbnail of material hanging from her mouth. As she chased it like a cat with a butterfly, she delighted herself until she hurriedly hunted the hedges to find another leftover ball from another domestic wolf. Haha.

My friend kicked it for her but sadly, my friend would never make a footballer and my Waggatail was saying

“Auntie Arty really? Like, em, I don’t even have to move to chase that?

Hehehe.

But bless Arty, she still does it and Waggatail still loves it.

We walked the field until two rather scary and yet in my friends eyes good looking dogs decided to own the field.

A walk back home and kettle on. My friend brought me some delicious doughnuts and some of my favourite wine for my birthday. Bless her.

Oh then it was talking time. Boy we can do that and receive an honours degree in the subject.

She is great, I love to hear all about what she has been up to her holiday in the Caribbean and she’s soon off to America for another holiday. And all of her art work. Gosh, wow, she is so lucky. I was telling her about our girls who are creative. Our eldest restores furniture paints it and same with clothes, she never buys new, always vintage and makes things to wear. So amazing.

We talked about tapestry and when she tells me she talks pictures. I am serious; it’s wonderful to listen to. My eldest girl would love her.

Everything is so descriptive and she talks how she creates art not just a case of painting onto paper. Oh no she uses a knife or various other methods. She paints onto silk and tells me of different way she gets her results. If you put a blob of water on some paper and then a blob of paint it spreads and she tells how she gets different textures and shading. But she is so much more poetic than me.

Oh it’s like going to a window and seeing through it for the first time in your life.

Love it love it love her.

Three hours later she left and I have a head full of wonders. Even jewellery she gets made for her and she tells me of her latest designs.

Just had tea and after writing to you all, I’m off on the treadmill.

Will I get to eleven minutes tonight? Hehehe.

Okay, more tomorrow but until then, I heard this on a group I’m in today and I love it.

“The stars in the sky can only shine in the dark.”
