DOXFORD HALL PART 4

Doxford hall 4 Our last breakfast was next to the fireplace in the restaurant. I was so sad to be returning home, as specially known the decorator was not doing what he said he would do. I also knew there was a lot of hard work to return to. After we said goodbye to our room and the lovely staff in the restaurant. We sat in the grounds waiting for our taxi and there was a table with our name on, ha, not really but we sat there an enjoyed a delicious cup of tea and homemade biscuits. We had no clue exactly what were our surroundings, apart from countryside. A couple of ladies came next to us and began talking about how it used to look in comparison to now. They were talking about the fruit trees that would explain the blooming wasps. Poor Long Chops was not quite understanding, how there was so much grass and she was tied to us… Poor baby. Oh if we could have let her off she would have had her holiday in ten minutes. Though there was a fountain/water feature outside the entrance of the hall/hotel, so I think the staff would not have liked the sight of LC enjoying her very own spa… hahaha. Taxi arrived and Gordon took us back to the train station. Rachael said goodbye to us, she was the receptionist, such a friendly jolly girl. I tell you it really is a place of love and romance as well as pure indulgence. Now OK, we could not do the sights of Northumberland, just had to listen to the other guests in the hotel talking of their days out, places where they visited, but what we did have, was love for each other and a understanding of life. An achievement of going on holiday chain free though would not be possible without Daniel, Rachael, Lee, dear Jane and others. One day perhaps, God willing, I may be sighted, with a cure or miracle, I will be able to take Hub to see the sights, but for now, I am grateful as there are thousands of blind people who never leave the house. We smelt fresh air and had the best food. Slept in the finest beds and laughed at our observations, as specially the mint gate and the telly on off gate, that was great, as we entered rooms, everyone spoke. Then like a TV button, it went quiet, then, the button was turned on again and everyone started to chat. I just find it funny how people seem to do it all together. The smells and lifestyle of my holidays will live with me. x DOXFORD HALL PART 4
