A SIMPLE LIFE
BY FIONA CUMMINGS
You think your life is simple
Sometimes boring
Whilst others are facing excitement
You are bored yawning
But when in fact you get to know situations
You learn of others complications
Life can be manic
Breathing can lead you to panic
But take a breath
Open your ears to where you normally are deaf
Whether you listen to other people’s words
The garden birds
Or your heart
Stop acting stupid
As you’re not, you are smart
Look around you
What a view?
See with your eyes or mind
Sometimes those who see best are the blind
Don’t be unkind
Show some respect
Don’t feel like a reject
Because if you stop, listen, and learn
You will know it’s their turn
Other people have a life which seems on the surface is
perfect
But when you get to know them properly
You will see absolute misery
Don’t feel guilty
For thinking they have been so happy
You are not a mind reader
And their smiles told lies
You hadn’t stopped before to see how he treat her
You didn’t know of the illness of his brother
Because they didn’t tell you
And you were too busy to see
What was hidden from your view?
But now you know
To take things slow
Read behind situations
See their complications
And know your life is better than you ever thought
Enjoy your peaceful world
It’s simple without a messy lifestyle
So, chin up smile
Appreciate what isn’t in your life
Their, trouble and strife
