Tears are burning
My fate I’m learning
My insides are churning
For another day has passed
More challenges to
face
No longer worrying about the past
It’s the time and the place
The future we are facing
The life that will be waiting
The heart that will be breaking
The mistakes which we are making
The feelings that need waking
The emotions which need to stop faking
The false accusation
The constant frustration
The air of hate
Time has to wait
Let it escape
Then lock the gate
Never look back
Not even through the crack
And when you are older
Don’t feel like you have to look over your shoulder
As what goes around comes around
Just stand by and wave as it passes you by
Don’t let it see the tears you will cry
Don’t let them see your acid pain
Or they will return to make you bleed again
