BLUE PETER

I’m delighted to announce that, 50 years after first working together, Guide Dogs and Blue Peter are in partnership again.

 

Blue Peter will be following a guide dog pup through its training, inspiring a new generation of children – and their parents – to support Guide Dogs.

 

The puppy will be introduced to Blue Peter viewers on next Thursday’s show and the flagship magazine programme will then follow its progress over the coming year as it undergoes a comprehensive training course to hopefully become a fully qualified guide dog.

 

This is a wonderful opportunity for Blue Peter viewers to learn how guide dogs transform the lives of people with sight loss – and for Guide Dogs to meet the next generation of potential volunteers, guide dog owners, campaigners and fundraisers.

 

Please spread the word and watch the Blue Peter puppy make its official debut appearance in the Blue Peter studio this Thursday 19^th June at 5.30pm on CBBC. The name of the new puppy will also be revealed on the show, and the episode will be available for seven days after transmission on the BBC iPlayer.
