DIARY OF SUNDAY CRIME

Sunday, a day of relaxing. Really? So far, the washing machine is on, dish washer emptied and refilled, I have done the downstairs floors groomed the dogs out in the garden, to hopefully get it done before we may have any more rain, and all after cooking breakfast. Hub has done the dog run, emptied the two bins, rubbish bin and recycle and now cleaning the upstairs floors. We will do a bathroom each, then prepare dinner. Then, maybe we can relax? All before starting again tonight with the tidy up after dinner.

Teen? He got up at eleven, got dressed and now is at the gym. He got in last night at three. So should I say this morning? So, what happened on Friday night? Well, he went out, all OK, coming back to catch a taxi in our town, he heard a noise. He looked over, a lot of girls screaming to a group of people saying stop stop?

Two bouncers were beating the living daylights out of a young lad One had a hold of his head and he was pushing it into the puddle it was pouring with rain. There was blood everywhere. Another bouncer was kicking the head of the lad with steel toe capped boots. Of course teen had to get closer rather than walk away?

Not only did he get so close, but he filmed it whilst telling the bouncers to leave the guy alone. Oh my lord. The screams on the video was horrid. One of the bouncers heard Teen and walked over to him and knocked the phone out of his hands. Smashing it to the ground. Thankfully it was OK and the bouncer didn’t hurt teen, but I’m skipping over a lot of things, basically, I told teen not to do anything with the video. What did he do? Something with the video. Oh all the local and national press have it now. Teens video has been shared half a million times. He has had over two hundred facebook requests and money off restaurants as he is now the local hero as if not for his video, the lad who was getting beat up, would have been a number lost. One of the Police who was talking with teen asked him for his phone, well, teen had shown him twice the footage and teen was sure that if he had of handed over the video, it would have been wiped. I kind of wish it had, I understand where teen is coming from, it was so wrong no matter what the lad had done, no one deserved that amount of beating. Kicking too, and the screams I’ sure will stay in teens mind forever. I heard them and they were awful and I just kept thinking that was someone’s Son. The lad was about twenty. The sister of the lad has contacted teen and has thanked him as her brother has proof of the incident now. But next time teen is in town? I will be more worried than ever as some, not all for sure but some bouncers stick together. Know what I mean? So it would be wrong to walk away from such cases, but I kind of wish someone else had took the footage. Someone who was in that town for a one off.

Now there are messages coming through saying that they were going to hunt this bouncer down and quotes, sort him out. I told teen that this was not the answer and although he agrees he said that he couldn’t stand the thought that a kid could be beat up in such a way and justice would not prevail.

He has been asked by the press for the lad’s name. Teen won’t give that information over. It’s irrelevant. Lord, let us get over these years with no trouble?

I hope the lad will be OK, but somehow I doubt it. He was tiny apparently. I guess he could have done wrong it is said that he heads butted the bouncer. So, obtain him? Even punch him, but to beat over and over again and kick? And, two onto one?

I just wish teen had stayed in that night and not got involved. But it lets him sea, teaches him that our town isn’t a sugar fairy land of happiness. Teen has always believed that our town is so safe. Well, now he knows to be on his guard as no place is safe. I truly wish that all alcohol and drugs was totally band.

Gosh, what a much better world we would live in?
