LOOKING AT LIFE By Fiona Cummings

LOOKING AT LIFE

By Fiona Cummings

The sky is closing its curtain

As I sit here wondering what is certain

Nothing these days makes sense

No one seems to sit on the fence

We are either really calm or angry

Everyone is so withdrawn or in a hurry

No one has time for their neighbour

Life is either full of laziness or hard labour

When was the last time you saw kindness in someone’s eyes?

When was the last time you took time to give someone a genuine surprise?

What is happening to mankind

Why can’t we stop and look around?

From the sky to the ground

Seriously look what you have be proud

Your health?

Surely that is more important than wealth?

Someone who loves you for who you are

Not the numbers in your bank or your fancy car

Take a gander at your life

Your Husband, Daughter, Son or wife

Read their soul

Are they warm or cold?

Has the for-sale sign come down and to the devil they have been sold?

Have you lost them along the way?

Why do you get up each and every day?

We as far as we know it only have a short time on earth

So, we cry at birth

And others cry for us when we die

Life seems to be full of tears

Unwarranted  fears

Just reflect what you could have with a little effort

Prove my theory to be controvert

I just hope we can turn around

Stop robbing each other

Find pride in what we can do

As the night closes its curtain

One things for certain

I want to get off this train

That’s racing along the tracks

Stop feeling the pain

And stop searching for answers and facts

Live for the   moment

Remember those from our past

Nothing ever lasts

So, make good of what we have

Show the love spread the word

Let your voice be heard

Hold out your hand

Try to understand

You are needed by others

And you need them too

Just my point of view
