DIARY OF FIGHTING AND MAKING LOVE

Good day or should I say evening Bloggets. Just got five minutes before I’m off again. Today has been one of comings and goings. Hub had a meeting in town and worked from home the rest of the day. Teen has done a couple of things, the least I say about him, the better as the WWW reads these blogs. Wicket witch of the west. So I’m not feeding her any information.

I went out with my lovely friend Geordie. We went to a very posh Fish & Chip restaurant. Gosh, when I used to go to places that sold Fish & Chips, they were more like café’s. Not this place. The entrance reminded me of every public building in Russia. Through double glass doors. You went through one door, turned right then through the other as though it was for really bad weather. Then there was carpet on the floor. Normally its tiles in a chip shop, but this was more like a restaurant. The waiter shows you to a seat. The chairs were rather luxurious. Very heavy and thick lovely material on them. There were little cups and saucers ready set out for your cup of tea.

We ordered and I had just chips with mushy peas a very English way of cooking peas. My friend had chips with fish and peas too and we enjoyed some bread and butter for our “Chip butty” Yes, you can take the girls out of Newcastle, but never will Newcastle leave us. Hehehe.

Geordie said we were the youngest there. I didn’t care. We talked for England and more. The afternoon ended up going too fast. We visited my friend’s house and saw another lovely lady where we had a delicious coffee and sadly home I came. So a very late dinner for the boys as it’s still cooking and it’s after 6. I’m not at all hungry.

I love my friend she is so good for me. It’s just such a shame we hardly see each other. Like my friend Julie, I see her no more than twice a year.  Especially because she lives in London now.

We have had rain on and off all day. It’s mild though.

I think I will end up writing more later as I’m restricted with what I can write about today. My friend I obviously won’t talk about what we spoke of though over the next few days, I may touch on a couple of subjects news, firstly, there is now a condition they call Digital amnesia. 91% of people in a survey say that they use online as an extension of their brain. This can kill your memory.

So, what was I saying?

Oh, yes news today. Well, a 1982 Ford Capri, has been found in the bottom of a lake in Nottingham. How did it get there and how long has it been there? As it was discovered when the lake was getting cleaned. Well you can’t tell me that the lake has not been cleaned since 1982? Haha haha.

Aliens, are they on their way? Last month, sightings of UFO’s, doubled.

Plankton are tiny organisms that live in water and provide an important food source for fish and other aquatic creatures like whales. It is reported that they are eating more plastic; this is a worry for not only creatures, but humans too? Meaning we all must be eating plastic as well.

Gene therapy is moving closer for deaf people. Great news. There is a new technique for fixing faulty DNA improving responses in mice. Back to my beliefs. Forget the poor animals; go straight to the humans and save money and time. Using prisoners who are facing the death penalty or who will or should never get out of jail. Why not, why do people have such a problem with this? We would have cures for so much by now.

Playing Tetris could stop traumatic memories from forming a new study says.  Em, hang on a cotton picking minute, didn’t another study earlier say digital is bad for the brain? Oh well, we have bad memories, but we are not suffering from traumatic ones. Hehehe.

Viagra on the up…. In Brittan.

More than a quarter of prescriptions have been given out this year all ready.

“I blame the cold weather. ()

Now who has funded this study?

Badgers age faster when they fight rather than when they mate. Oh my word. Really? I mean, really? I could have told them that and I have never interviewed a badger in my life. Not yet any way, there’s time. Mind you, not sure I would want to interview a badger during a fight and certainly wouldn’t want to interview a badger all chilled smoking after some hanky panky.

Well, we are now all up to date with the news. Leaving out the desperately tragic of course. I’m now off to work and I awaite tomorrows heatwave again. We are to have boiling hot weather. Well the past few days has been really wet and nights have been cold.

I was so proud of my Son last night. He felt bad his friend was at work and it was pouring with rain. He called him and told him he would collect him and put his  friends bike that was at work in the back of his car. Oh bless him. I thought, that is my kind boy as it was after ten at night. He told me that he couldn’t let his friend cycle home in that weather, so he did the twelve mile round trip to get him and bring him back.

OK. I will go for now and be back later I have been asked to write something, so let’s see what I pick to write about today. Thank you again for your suggestions. I will leave you with this thought.

“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.” ~ Groucho Marx
