Elliott’s Birthday
By Fiona Cummings
Have a birthday blast
Pressy time at last
Bursting balloons
Spin some tunes
Blow out those candles
Make a wish
So who is it you want to kiss?
Those burning flames are getting higher
We can see through them who you desire
A year older
An yet still so young
No age though, should stop having fun
A picture please?
Come on say cheese?
A treasured smile
Stay your age for a while
Lots of cards your way
Wishing you a happy birthday
Whilst we are reminiscing
Your baby days
Sending a blessing
In our heart always
For you are growing fast
In a world so vast
But this world would be so small
If not for you
These words I share
Are sent to you
To say I care
And happy birthday to you
To my Nephew. Elliott Ray Cummings 18 June 2015
