ALRIGHT PETAL? BY FIONA CUMMINGS

ALRIGHT PETAL?

To be a flower, cold all winter, dead if you like, then the spring comes, you show some new leaves followed by a bud then an open flower. So pretty, delicate with such fragrance. And then unless we water you, feed you, you start to die. But you come back, next year. So, why don’t we, do that. Or do we? Perhaps we do, only in a different garden. I guess the flower is born again where it has been planted, only a few flowers spread as far as they are allowed to spread, but a seed that blows with the wind, can land anywhere where there is soil.

Possibly we are that seed that floats until we find the right place to land and recreate! Deja vu perhaps, most of us have had that overwhelming feeling of the sense you have done that or been there before.

So, next time you look at your flowers in your garden, especially those that have found themselves on your land or have spread, wonder where they came from and those that stay in the same pot, but return each year, do they look exactly like last years?

Just a thought!
