BELIEVE BY FIONA CUMMINGS

BELIEVE
BY FIONA CUMMINGS
Wash away the tears that fall
Listen to the birds that call
Remember the good times that once were had
There’s always a good day among those that are bad
If there’s no sunshine through your eyes anymore
Reminisce on times when you saw the sky before
Think of wonderful days a head
You are safe, have the comfort of your bed
A roof over your house
A peaceful place
So, rejoice
You don’t need to see your face
You know who you are
Your soul is kind
Though your eyes are blind
You see more than those who are sighted
The inevitable will occur
Don’t fight it
Just learn
Some days it will hurt
In fact, burn
Other days you will not want to get out of your slumber
Your summers may seem like days of thunder
But trust me
One day once again
Your sunshine will light your way
And every day
You will wake
Your day will be so real, no mistake
Life will be worth living
Days, hours, minutes, seconds just will keep giving
Everything will fit in place
Troubles you will chase
They won’t be catching you
Paths will be yellow
And skies of beautiful blue
Just give it time
First fight your way through
Obstacles so true
Knocks of black and blue
Painful shadows and crimson fluids
Braving battles with stone age Druids
Bandages and ointments will help to heal
New life will grow as the old will peal
Just believe in yourself, you can do it
