DREAMS ON A WING BY FIONA CUMMINGS

DREAMS ON A WING

BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Hold fast to your dreams

Because if they die

Life is a broken winged bird

Who can no longer fly?

If you stop still wondering why

In mid flight

With no landing in sight

Shattered dreams and a restless night

Fly free

Across pastures green

And the salted sea

Drink from waters which flow

Shelter from winters snow

Under branches of red berries

Swim in the estuaries

And sleep with ease

Dream among fairies

Do what you please

Give love to others

Don’t ruffle feathers

Fly above purple heathers

Sit in the clouds

Make yourself proud

Stand out from the crowd

Live your dreams

Have no regrets

Be the best person

You have ever met

Stay dry when it’s wet

And cool when it’s hot

Warm when it’s cold

Be strong, be bold

Be your best story

That has ever been told
