DIARY OF ROBOT ON THE BEACH BY FIONA CUMMINGS

A blog last night and today.

It’s ten in the evening. Hub in the garage dogs just gone to bed, Teen getting a shower after the gym waiting for young Shamrock to come. Teens  gf. Our neighbour’s daughter is having a party I guess celebrating her results for her A, levels? I so feel for her Mum because the girl is off abroad for three years in a couple of weeks. She is an only daughter just like Teen an only child must be heart breaking to let go and let them fly away? I hope I can be of some comfort to my neighbour, even if we just have a coffee and a chat.

Teen got told he had to bring his used uniform and name tag back to his old place of work today. He told them he had a bit of a ceremony and kind of well, burnt it all. Apart from his work boots smile, they wouldn’t want them, that is for sure.

That was last night, this is today. It’s boiling, fantastic. Teen going to the beach with Shamrock, it’s half one in the afternoon now, he is just setting off. Remember the days when if we were going out for the day, we would head off early? Well, not now, mind you, it was about half three this morning when Teen took Shamrock home. Why Shamrock? Smile, well she is Irish you know? From my canary, bless his cotton claws, to an Irish girlfriend.

Those of you who are now wondering again, what on earth I’m talking about? I had an Irish canary. I adored him he sang for me and annoyed people, but I loved the company of his little song!!!

Remember the days when we went to the beach and we collected shells and pebbles? Oh not now what people need to be looking for now is the wax like whale vomit.

I may give that a miss. It is worth a fortune. Oh gross.

As for the party last night from our neighbour’s house, it was quiet by about midnight so Hub got some sleep. The kids are good I know of parties where the kids would have gone around the streets causing havoc, but the youth in our street are all respectable.

It’s the adults we need to watch out for, smile!

What’s in our news today? UK can soon see wait for it?

Robot brothels on our streets. Oh my.

The world’s most paid actress of 2016 is Jennifer Lawrence. She was paid 46 million dollars. Obscene.

OK this is worrying. The Swiss capital is to trial robot post. I heard there are going to be trials from Amazon to deliver by drones, imagine if we get a delivery we hear the drone and go to our door. It’s in the sky then suddenly it flies away. OK, it’s dropped our parcel. Where? Then hunt the parcel. I don’t like it. Well Swiss post to be delivered by robots?  Postbot.

In Switzerland something about to be launched is driverless busses. Oh my what is the world coming to? Just fix our sight, legs and ears please?

I have a date with an iron. And I can tell you my date isn’t in my opinion good looking, though some would say it’s hot!

Later with love.

DIARY OF THE POLTERGEIST BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good morning Bloggets. Gosh it is pouring with rain here, has been all morning since half six at least. My family were due to come today but because of the weather we have took a rain check. I ordered shopping for them too to be delivered, but I’m sure Teen wonder can devour extra lunch today. Seriously, this is meant still to be summer and we have had about three weeks of lovely weather, good enough to sit out in. All summer and spring it’s been like winter apart from about three weeks scattered around. At the weekend it was so windy, when the sun came out, the wind stopped but only for about a few moments then all started again blustery winds followed by rain showers. It’s coming up to Bank Holiday Monday in the UK and I really hope we get a nice day? The weather really does affect my mood! When we have winter it’s so dark outside and though I can’t see, I feel the darkness deep within.

In our news this week we have received dreadful news about 6 people who have been killed on our coastline. Three men, two women and a child. Heart breaking but the winds were wild and I’m not sure why anyone would take a child on the rocks under such circumstances? Still so sad though, this is summer we are meant to go to the beach.

So what else in our news? Officers in Glasgow Scotland, witnessed a disturbing sight as they were asked to go to a house where there was something worrying happening. The police saw lights going on and off through the windows and clothes flying around the room as well as a dog who was in the garden suddenly ended up on a seven feet hedge. When they went in the house the lampshades were all upside down and the oven door was opening and closing. As for the dog, it was a small Chihuahua!

The family who lived in the house called Police after they had endured two days of bizarre occurrences before moving out of the property. Two days? Two minutes for me I would be out there like a shot.

It is being explained that it could be the work of a Poltergeist or teenage energy! A priest has been to the house to perform a blessing.

“Let’s hope that does it then?””

Just before bed last night, I checked my emails. I occasionally look at my spam because for some odd reason a friend of mine, a loyal Blogget too, goes into spam. Why? Not sure she writes every week and nine times out of ten her mail comes to my in box but the tenth time, goes into spam. I wonder if it’s because she may not put something in the subject box? Other than that, I’m not sure because she definitely is not spam… But what was in there were some very odd requests for me to join in with group sex acts, to have sex with men who enjoy married women and asking me if I want a Russian beautiful lady… Well, Russian beautiful men I have entertained in my past, smile, but never ladies, not in the way in which the email suggested I should. But there was another request for me to hold some money in my bank for someone. Really why would anyone want someone to put money in someone else’s bank? And why with such a serious suggestion, would they call me. “my Dear?”

I never open attachments not ever. It’s very clever though how my provider knows when spam is spam? Most times they are right. I just wonder if there is anybody who actually falls for such requests? If so, what happens? They I guess give their bank details and money is taken from them? What scum bags would do that to people?

Olympics are all over and we did so well. So proud of team GB. To come second in the medal table is incredible.  And thank goodness there wasn’t any awful international incidences. China had their worst Olympics in twenty years and the next Olympics will be hosted in Japan. Wow, that will be spectacular!

I was reading this morning something rather revolting and in my opinion quite disturbing. In Washington US, scientists are developing a packaging that will not only keep food fresh, but it will be edible. That is revolting don’t you think? Who on earth will fancy eating a bag?

OK will go for now teen has risen so let the fun begin.

DIARY OF EYE ON THE CURE (jCYTE)

The Olympics have come to an ending. I want to say thank God. Why? Well because it’s on the TV every night. And it’s on one of our prime channels, the other channels won’t put anything decent on they think no one will watch it because of course, everyone is watching the Olympics.

We team GB have done fantastic this year for a little country I’m very proud of them. I think we are still second in the medals. Just shows remove the drugs and all fair.

Today it’s absolutely freezing and so windy as well as wet. It’s rained on and off all day.  Teen did his first shift at his new job. He looked so smart as he left the house. He came back shattered it’s the pure concentration of learning new stuff. He only did four hours but the next time he is due in he is working for ten hours. He got chatted up by a young man in his twenties who also works there.  And the guy sounds a character in deed. He apparently talks in a very strong American accent, an yet has never been to the US. Haha. Teen has already said that this is a stepping stone until he finds another job. I told him to get made supervisor first work for almost a year and then leave but not to leave before he is made up.

Well I went out the other day and needed to do some work with our hose…. Oh boy. I turned the tap on and next thing there is water coming out of the pipe. I was spoken. Seriously I turned the tap off and tried to find out where the cut was, how do you do that if you can’t see? Turn on the tap, are you getting my pattern? I was again drenched. Well long and short of it is Hub went with his tool box, OK, you know us too well, our kitchen knife and cut some off re fitted things and hey presto, it’s perfect now.

Things like that just overwhelm me. Just like my ornaments do in the house, if I were to ask Hub to dust, he would totally have a meltdown. Me in the garden, I just get so dizzy. Suddenly I’m a tiny bee in a huge forest. It’s the outside air as when I’m out with Waggs I’m the same. I just thank God when I get back safely in the house all safe. Close the door and breathe again.

Our dogs are going on their walk later bless the lady who comes. She is a volunteer and she never misses a week. If she has to go somewhere or on holiday that week, she will walk them twice the week before or after. She is amazing.

I dream of the day when I can take my dogs for a walk along a riverside or the beach. We have a lake where we live, but the fishermen leave their hooks in there overnight. It shouldn’t be allowed, but they do and all it takes is for one of our dogs to get one stuck in their mouths or worse if they swallow one. It’s really a worry and if one of them runs off, I don’t know for sure who is there? What kind of dog whether they are friendly or not? So thank goodness for volunteers who will dog walk for us. If you like walking a dog and don’t want the expense or stress of a full time pet, because of work or whatever reason, you could call your local Guide Dog office and ask to be a volunteer dog walker. You will have to be police checked because obviously we can’t let our dogs just go off with a total stranger who we don’t know the background of, but that is a painless process and you would be doing so much for our dogs. Even if it’s just one dog, once a week. It’s an hour and as well as keeping you fit, you will soon make a best friend. Sadly, my Son will take Waggs for a quick walk, but he does it out of duty rather than because of his love for dogs. And it’s something like once every three weeks.

Some emails this week have asked me about news on the latest research for our eye disease. Well, this is what I have found.

(EYE ON THE CURE)

The first results of a human stem cell transplant to treat Retinitis Pigmentosa, have been released by regenerative medicine company  jCyte.

This trial will last one year and it is an injection in the eye with stem cells hoping to wake up what has gone to sleep basically. But the first trial is to make sure that it is safe for human use. Then it will go onto phase two. So I pray that in two years we will be much further towards treatment for RP, what I can’t understand from what is written is this any good for those of us who are totally blind, or is it for those who still can see? I guess anything is a step forward for us all?

I hope you have had a lovely weekend. X

DIARY FOR FRIDAY BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Oh it’s time again I should have something in the oven and I haven’t. Well after last night’s response to my dinner from Hub, maybe he can cook his own tonight? My Son loved it and mince isn’t his thing. He ate his dinner, went out with his gf and came in at half three this morning texting me to ask if he could eat the rest of the mince. I thought, no I’m not answering and to eat during the night such a meal is crazy. Well anyway, for his breakfast, gross warning coming on, he told me he was eating the (REST) of the mince. I said he could have the last amount for his dinner tonight. He said. “Mum I ate some during the night, this is the last… So he eats mince during the night and for breakfast? I seriously can’t keep up. We spent £204 this week on groceries.

For his in between, he had cereal. And for lunch he cooked himself two white fish in butter sauce and four potato waffles with a grilled tomato. Then he will have dinner in four hours.

I have been to B&Q. Oh gosh it’s the most depressing shop? I bought some new plants. Chucked one away as it was dangerous also grew so tall that it was tipping and leaning against anything it could. One day I found it leaning against my beautiful chrystal lamp and it is heavy if it had knocked that over, it would have broken our hearts as Hub and I love it. Today it was against the speaker, digging into the cloth on it, so because I can’t maintain it, it had to go also that was the one that caused me to go to hospital remember? One of the leaves like a spike went right into my eye as I went to water it. Talk about biting the hand that feeds it?

Well now outside it’s like a jungle. I have all of my large plants out there. There is soil from A to B as I have tried to transplant them and pull out the old one for the bin. Now I can’t close the bin lid. It’s raining I’m in a white top and covered in soil. There is soil all over the patio and I have tried to sweep it away and it won’t move… One of the plants I had to put hot water into it to get the soil to soften to empty. It had gone like concrete.

Now I’m going to clean the floors as they really need a good scrub now that the plants are all out. Oh heck, when Hub comes home he will do his dingger. Smile. As he will go to let the Little Fella out and let’s say, his path is kind of obstructed. Ever so slightly.

I’m not in the best of fettles today. Morals. Seriously, I really do believe that the 23 years I was married to my ex, I had gone to sleep and woke up two different two later generations. I have never met my equal. I have just been told something that has infuriated me. I’m beyond angry and well past disappointed. Sometimes I just wish I could go to an island where people are kind and respect each other and values are a religion. Where is that place? It aint here that is for sure.

I want to rebel and talk to you all day, but I guess I better get a move on and do my stuff. I hope to be back later.  Until then, take care, cos I care.

PEN TO PAPER BY FIONA CUMMINGS

PEN TO PAPER BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Pen to paper I could be anywhere

My words of imagination, I want to share

A hand to hold

To show I care

Some words of wisdom and encouragement if you can bare

Take or leave what I have to say

But please come back another day

Inside my mind, is a complex place to be

I’m often not blind, and can be so happy

Then write deep and words so meaningful

Painting pictures, so beautiful

Showing you another side

Letting you swim in tears I’ve cried

Feeling rejoice

Hearing my voice

With words I put in pen to paper

I want to make you feel safer

And not walk down the avenues I’ve been down

But pick the right paths

Let the dice role in your favour

Remove a frown

Have some laughs

As I put pen to paper

JAPAN AND MYSELF BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Japanese proverbs

With a first glass, the man drinks the wine, with the second glass the wine drinks the wine with the third glass the wine drinks the man.

This made me smile as my Husband used to travel a lot to Japan on business and he had a lovely colleague who loved his drink, only problem was, he couldn’t take his drink and used to get very drunk. Many times the Japanese man would guide Hub through the streets of Japan to his hotel to have one more for the road. Hub used to say he was so funny this guy, he had a long umbrella always carried it and used to drag it behind him and went from left to right goodness knows how they used to always end up where they needed to be? It really was the blind leading the blind.

Another saying is. The country is in ruins and there are still mountains and rivers. This got me thinking that probably the most beautiful countries in the world are countries where there is war, third world or political crisis going on.

“The eyes are the mirror of the soul” I kind of agree. You show your love and fears through your eyes. My son still says to me and it makes me laugh. “Mum, don’t give me that look. Hahaha. I think I still do actions with my eyes even though my sight is useless.

“The eyes speak as much as the mouth.”

in other words, love needs no words. That is beautiful don’t you think? Also I did wonder this. When I could see, I loved with my eyes. I looked at an admirer and burned through his soul as if my boyfriends used to say hypnotise them into asking me out. Haha. No, I just sat on them into submission.

If you are blind, do you still have what they call cow eyes? I really wouldn’t know as Hub is my first blind partner/boyfriend/Husband well love. And by the time we were reunited again, I couldn’t see and he was born blind, so does he know how to make those eyes or is it a natural infliction if you like well thing that happens? Do your eyes gloss over when you fall in love? Hmm…. Time to ponder?

I love this one. “It is the same life whether we spend it laughing or crying.

“People want to avoid the dew before they become wet.”

I should learn from this one. “Let what has past flow away downstream”

My past chases me and of late has been catching up. I should turn around and face it, but again? Really? God give me strength do do that again? But I have two choices either I do face the demon or I keep running. If I face it, then I can show it that I’m wiser and stronger.  If I keep running, then I am letting my past know that I am still weak.

Until later you all make sure you follow your heart but take your mind with you. X

DIARY OF JOBS BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good evening Bloggets. I’m very late today writing my blog. Just to let you know it’s almost eight in the evening Teen is due in from work, Hub having a relaxing bath after a day at work where he told me there has been some not so nice things happen this week and difficult decisions. The rest is in our imaginations. He comes home and in his mind he always has work but in his mind, it stays and I respect that, good job we have life to talk about as with him not talking about his day and me not having days most of the time, hahaha, life could get boring. But we are a match made in heaven and can talk about a stone for an hour. Our minds just click. They did at school and this still do. If you were to meet us, your first opinion would be we are so different but people who get to know us say we are each other’s soul.

Gosh dinner tonight was a disaster. I spent blooming ages in the kitchen only for Hub to end up making himself some toast.

Now, round two. Teen due home and see what he thinks. I was thinking where on earth I went wrong? I made mince with onions and carrots. New potatoes and green beans. Teen will have Yorkshire puddings with his. Hub hates new potatoes well that is a challenge in the summer. So a cross there. I put the carrots in with the mince and he said that the mince was revolting. Haha.

Say it like it is love?

It isn’t the same mince as I normally buy. I always buy steak mince and this week I didn’t but it was not cheap it was a lot of money so should have been good?

Well it wasn’t…

I shall let you know in the next blog Teens verdict! As for what I had? Hmm. You really don’t want to know. I’m not impressed with myself. I got up today and emptied the dish washer. Normally Hub does that before he leaves for work. He didn’t today so I did it and then refilled it from Hubs cereal and coffee he had this morning, teens midnight feast and a couple of things that wouldn’t fit in the dish washer last night. Teen came for breakfast. I then cleared away his dishes and began cooking. It took forever I have explained before our awful flat sheet of nothingness with our hob. Then cleared that away putting on the dishwasher for round two. Teen went out then on his return ate lunch creating more dishes pans and so on but he did empty the washer. I filled it again cleaned the worktops again and did the floors. Then it was time for Hub to come home so I prepared his plate and by doing all this as well as other bits and bobs I did, I didn’t feel like cooking for me. I really wish my boys were vegetarians then we could all eat the same food.

Well, I received an email today about my job application. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it before opening it. I prepared myself to be told either way whether I got an interview or not. I was very happy with the synopsis kind of a CV I wrote as when I want to, I can write as if I’m very intelligent, it just doesn’t come through much when I’m chatting to you all as this is an informal chat… But my work experience is zero though I have done volunteering since I was 16 with a huge gap in between. I was passionate when I wrote what I did but cried when I sent my application by the net as felt such a disaster in the workplace. Also went through the emotions of who on earth would even think about reading my job application? Gosh I have been on such a downer for the past few months as far as putting myself out there is concerned.

Well I opened the email and it read that the interviews were going to be delayed but I had at least, an interview.

Gosh, I had to read it again. No way, then I checked the email address who it was really meant to be for? It was me, so who was it from? And it was from the organisation I had applied to.

It didn’t say when I have the interview but said I would receive another more formal invitation at a later date.

So now what? Should I be shocked? I don’t know how I feel and if I were asked some weeks ago how I would feel right now, I would say screaming with delight, but I don’t I’m numb. I think I am in some kind of shock. Now I write better than I come across so the interview will be challenging though I say what is on my mind I’m very honest and not sure this will be what people look for in interviews. I only pray my friend has an interview too. I’m scared to ask her. I would hate to get one and she hasn’t? Now, who am I up against? I have no clue and don’t know if I am able to learn, I doubt it, mind you that would make me a little anxious to know who I am going to be competing with. I really feel like I have got further than I would have years ago in life, just to want a job to know I can do something to me is incredulous. I hope I will inspire others to just go for it and even if I don’t get the job, then at least I tried. I do feel odd though right now. And now have to wait for the big day to come.

Teen is coming in soon, eating, showering and going straight out to his gf’s. Hub is having an early night so I guess a lot of poetry will be written tonight? Talking of poems, I have been asked to write some for Christmas by two different places this week. When I received the first request, I thought it was a joke. And the second one? Totally different area’s and one is for a school the lady wants to put it in their play. I can’t even believe that she has thought what play they are doing already? The other one is very sad, it’s for someone who will be having their Christmas early this year because of health. Heart breaking. So now I have to get my Santa’s hat on and think snow, sweet mince pies, wrapping paper, ferns pinecones and tinsel.

Oh heck, as I’m sitting in our living room, I have just heard the coffee machine turn off. This is fine, but there isn’t a cup under it so the horrid water will just run into the tray, the tray that I have just got from the dishwasher. Our water is nasty slimy lime scale and makes the tray awful.

Our hose is broken so I guess now we need to find another. It’s teens last day at his job tomorrow so may try to get him to buy one as he gets a discount. I wonder how he will feel about the new job? It’s a brand new building so should be lovely inside.

Our hoses are like our vacuums. They last a year. Hub blames me for the vacuums but he can’t for the hoses as I start a battle with them then give up and leave it up to the garden gnome.

Talking of gardens, I so badly wish we had nothing in our garden but statues. The pain of keeping it looking tidy is so stressful. The thorns out there are lethal. They are not even ours they are from both neighbours who have them growing in their garden. We do have awful rose thorns, but these ones coming through our fence are pure evil and when you can’t see them you have to feel for them to cut them back. Not good.

Today is the day in England where kids get their exam results for their A. Levels. Thank goodness we are through that with teen and can relax now.

I feel for the kids who have not received their grades for their chosen University. All but one and a half of teens friends are off in some weeks. I still believe that our boy will go to University in the future, but not right now. Already his new boss is saying that she can promote him. Hmm. We will see. At least it’s not far to drive, if only the last job or at the moment, current, was closer when he had his last promotion, he would be rather rich now… Mind you, I don’t think my boy could ever be rich as the more money he has, the more he spends.

Some words before I go from me and others.

It is never too late to be who you might have been.

George Eliot

Success consists from going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

Winston Churchill

Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell em of course I can. Then go and learn how to do it.

Theodore Roosevelt

Take risks if you win, you will be happy, if you lose, you will have learned.

Never tell me the sky is the limit, when there are footprints on the moon.

If you have a dream, it can come true.

Why walk forward to be pushed backwards.

If you stand in the same place every day all day, the sun will leave you in a shadow

OLAND ISLANDS

Today we welcome a viewer who was last here on my blog page if it is the same person, on the 28th of December 2015. I hope whoever you are, you will return and we can call you one of our Fifi Bloggets! A place for our map. So, where are we today?

Aland Islands. Now you probably know, that geography isn’t my thing… So I had to look this place up when we last had a visitor from here, and this is what The Oland Islands is like. Oland Islands are in between Sweden and Finland but they speak Swedish.

I must say looking at some of the places you can go on holiday there, wow, it sounds stunning! Log cabins with wooden sauna’s by the Baltic sea. Sands and little houses painted violet, Yellows greys and blues. The islands are connected by narrow bridges there are forests and lots of water sports and cycling also though some night clubs for the young at heart.

I believe it doesn’t get dark there? If I am wrong, please let me know?

Along the quiet roads, with water at each side, there are rustic houses of reds and browns poking between rocks and trees!

You can go on breaks to see the brown bears in the forests. Oh it sounds so lovely.

So are you the same person, or another? Whoever you are, it’s so lovely to see you here today. Xxx

DIARY OF SELLING YOUR HOUSE AND DOGGY DAY CARE BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Time for a chat and a cupper. We have a brilliant new water machine rather than a kettle. It was about £10 more than I paid for my last kettle and because it uses filters, we won’t experience the dreadful nasty water that we have been of late. The water here is gross. Full of Lyme scale. After a while, the electrical kitchen items break because of it. So this machine has a filter to block nasty bits we would end up getting with our cup of tea. Also Hub can stop grumbling about the kettle burning him. He hated our last kettle. I loved it. It was one of those old fashioned shapes like a whistling kettle. It was metal and when it was hot, it was hot…

This water heater is great, tall enough spout to even put a pan or teapot under the tap. And, it has buttons. Rare now days normally it’s on screen touch pad and so on. It takes forty seconds to heat the water and if you only want one cup of tea, it boils only one cup, whereas when you have a kettle, you boiled unnecessary water!

In England, Teesside the factory who make Tetley teabags, employs 300 staff and are the largest teabag manufacturing plant in the world, and they are going to create a teabag suitable for those with hangovers. Have you ever?

I was reading today about things that can go very wrong if you are trying to sell your house. To some these steps may be obvious, but obviously not to all as a lot of people who are trying to sell a house, keep making these mistakes over and over again.

Significant things that you can do to help you to sell are, avoiding toys on your child’s bedroom floor. We know that the toys will be coming with us, but some people do not have any imagination non, a big fat zero and can’t remove the toys and replace them with their own nice rug…

Same as on the teens bedroom floor, clothes all over a dirty sock pair of trainers. It just looks dirty and we wonder if we can see this, what is hidden? Smile. According to ING Direct, a kid’s messy bedroom can knock £8000 off the value of your property.

What’s in the name? Well your address can boost the price of your house. If you live in a street, the chances are that you will receive less money that someone who lives in a Grove or a close for example. And if you have the title King in your address, you will receive more money than you will if you have queen.

I was reading on zuplar that rude names won’t sell well in Lancashire you could live on Slag lane. Smile. Or how about in Bell End in the west Midlands? Haha.

A zoopla study revealed that numbers influence the price of your house. Odd numbers fetch on average £538 more than those of us who live in houses with even numbers on our door.

If you are superstitious, number 13 won’t do too well. Even Downing Street there is no number 13. Mind you, there is a contradiction, there you have it, Downing (street) and we couldn’t afford to live there. Smile, not that I would want to that is the truth. But if you do own a number 13, you are said to sell for less than six thousand than your neighbours. Unlucky for some…

Last year Lloyds bank suggested that an upscale supermarket can add value onto your property up to £40,000

If you have pets, it is said that unless you have loads of them, you will be OK as long as your pet’s don’t smell or are intimidating. Well as for our, dogs, they would be around the viewers neck as they came through the door, so I would hope one of us would be on walkies at the time. Smile… With the dogs of course.

And may be a teen could take them on a walk as the only time he is home is to sleep and eat… Cooking all of the time… Having said that, he is coming home in half an hour with his friend probably in time for dinner? Then he’s off to the gym and then I’m sure will be out.

I have been on the phone most of the day. Sorting life out with those who just can’t get their act together. Peoples incompetence pains me. I just don’t like messy people.

Hub was just saying last night he has had one week’s holiday meaning off work since the start of April. He is like me needing a holiday. And we are counting the days now. Going to say goodbye to monotony for a few days, and bonjour to France.

Sadly, I dare not take my lap top with me to write.  Having said that, it’s tiny, I may be able to? Hehehe. Seriously I think my Hub would bury it in the sand. But on my return, I shall have loads to tell you I’m sure and this is a very special holiday for us all. But don’t worry, not going for a while yet…

I have been on doggy day care today. Hub at the office and likes to give LF a break from the travel every couple of weeks. So at quarter past eight this morning I came down stairs to find my hand in between a toothey jaw. I knew it was the Little Fella, as little Waggs hardly opens her mouth. She is one of those Labradors who are so quiet silent the way she walks and doesn’t bark unless Hub really plays rough with her and she loves that. From a dainty sweet dot, to a wild beasty girl. Smile… My Waggs, not Hub.

He’s never a dainty dot. Hahaha.

Well, it’s four for dinner tonight so I shall go and cook… Lot’s of love.

MY CREATOR BY FIONA CUMMINGS

MY CREATOR

BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Give me the words

And I will speak

Share with me your energy

So I’m no longer weak

Protect me from tragedy

Clear my path before me

Allow me to live in harmony

Please give me sight

 So I will see

Can I hear clearely

And love so dearly

Give me patience

I want to make you proud

I’m your creation

Let me lead the crowd

Please hold onto my hand

Show me your land

Explain the challenges to me

So I understand

You mean so much to me

Lift me up

So I can walk

I want you to talk

And I will hear

Read your lips

With your help

I will never trip

See what’s in front of me

If I’m ever alone

Please come back to me

Walk by my side

Wipe clear tears

I may have cried

Tell you my feelings

I used to hide

To my creator

I’m already feeling safer

Knowing that you are my guide

Filling me with pride

NATURES DREAM BY FIONA CUMMINGS

NATURES DREAM BY FIONA CUMMINGS

As the moon bows to the ripples on the stream

And I hold the stars as I dream

And the cobalt blanket keeps me from the chill

As the air is so still

An owl flies by

In the darkened sky, he hovers

A fox starts to cry

In a scream like no other

A pebble plays along the bankside

From the trickling water, it’s trying to hide

How peaceful

Simply beautiful

Branches shadow

In the green meadow

Cattle in the distance

Not a bother, nor a hindrance

Though by myself

I’m not alone

It’s a perfect zone

Though poor, I have wealth

And good health

All that God intended I have

From nature I get my love

Looking up to the clouds above

I thank my maker wherever they are

And I’m reminded as I look at a star

That though something is miles away

Nothing is too far

And tomorrow is another day

CAN ONLY DREAM

Good evening Bloggets. Today I had the challenge of booking holiday insurance on line. Absolutely impossible. Why do these people do this? It’s half accessible, just enough to get all of our personal information, then it comes to the dates or something like that, insignificant to our personal details but vital to our policy or at least to continue whatever form we are filling in, then suddenly it’s no longer useable. I’m won up. Seriously. I thought like every time, I would bite the bullet. Same as house insurance and so on. I would just phone the company and do it over the phone, but to have this easier privilege, I was asked to pay £68 and the cover was rubbish. The one I found on line, wasn’t the cheapest but in between and it was £31. For double the cover. But, not at all accessible other than my name, Hub and Teens name, our phone number and address. So I had to ask my Teen to help? Something I really don’t like to do. I always feel hopeless and inadequate. That feeling is just awful.

I’m so tired today. It’s been thirteen months since I have spent any time wresting as in on a holiday. Week and weekends I’m working to just get away even for a couple of nights would be amazing but nope, not until our annual holiday which is coming up soon. After the initial few hours of us learning our surroundings around the house and garden, then hopefully we will remember where everything is, especially the pool, woops… But to have some fresh air and not have to cook dust or do the washing and ironing will be lovely. To sit in the garden and not worry about what to cook for dinner, I can’t wait.

Just come from the gym. My knee’s feel like they are going to snap. I could only do 22 minutes. I could go to bed now, it’s not even ten. But when I go to bed, I can’t sleep. Crazy or what?

Teens girlfriend is coming soon so it may be three in the morning before I can totally relax, mind you I would rather they were here than out miles away. He went one hours drive away last night. Sounded so beautiful where he went. He parked in a carpark where there were little quaint bars and restaurants and walked along a gravelled path with grass on each side. Through a gate and along a babbling stream where there was a whitewashed wall with water flowing over the top.

He walked up some steps made from stones/rocks and at the top where there was a seat, looked down at the stream, under the light of the moon and the little white houses in the far.

I just wish Hub and I could do things like that. To do something so simple like have a picnic next to a stream and let the dogs play in the water, would be lovely. But until there is a cure for our sight we can only dream.

MONDAYS DIARY BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Sitting outside in our dreadful noisy garden. I can’t stand much more of this. Typical that teen has found a girlfriend around the corner from here bad time keeping. I’m not kidding, there is a car goes by every half second each way. So four cars per second. And the road has not been surfaced since these houses were built almost thirty years ago. So each bump can be heard and the engines are magnified the pollution is disgraceful and to top that, someone somewhere is burning fires not sure if it’s the fields, fields? Where? People tell me that the horrid smells is coming from the fields. Well, I don’t know where there are any fields here apart from the local school and the park and I don’t think that will be a place where they will put manure?

In the distance I hear the parrot. I love to hear him. I can’t hear the birds right now sadly as the road sounds are too loud right now. Where on earth are all the cars going? Hub said that no one will buy our house because of the road. Smile. We did? Haha. When I came to look at this house Hub was in America, so I feel a forever guilt because he isn’t happy here, but, it was pouring with rain, so little time was spent admiring the garden. Also remember I can’t see so I didn’t see the disguise that the previous owner had in place as a barrier for the noise. When we moved in, oh my, there were fern trees and thick ivy as well as a large shed at the bottom of the garden. Oh a truck has just gone by, followed by a bus and a van pulling a trailer which sounds empty as it bounces its tinny self along the gravelled ground and my neighbours bless them are having to shout at each other to be heard. And they normally are the quietest gentle spoken people.

Our house is lovely, the people are great, I have made a few loyal friends and it is so close to everything. I thought it was perfect. The church for Hub is a three minute walk. Our bus stop to our town and so on is a two minute walk. Nearest restaurant is an nine minute or just over as is the vet, local shop and the Doctors dentist chemist is fifteen minutes’ walk. The cinema and lots of other eateries as well as a huge supermarket is an eighteen minute walk but you have to cross the dangerous road and bowling alley is over there too and the park, a five minute walk. Town is jut two miles away but because we have London traffic, it takes on good days just over fifteen minutes to get there by taxi, twenty five on bus and on bad days at least double. Just for two miles. But when we moved here, I thought it was great for Hub and Teen and Teen loves the house and area, but he says he is a city boy. Where as Hub and myself are country people, but, when you can’t see, you can’t live in a perfect location. Have a good area too. You have to live where it is convenient. Hub is so ready for moving. Personally, I don’t know how we will do it again. It almost killed me last time, but as I said to Hub last night, he again was abroad when we were about to move for four weeks leading up to the move, he was home one day per week. I had all of the packing to do it was hellish as you know I have so many precious items to wrap We would have to spend a lot of money which we don’t have to get help and on our last day the day we moved my brother in law drove us from old too new as well as helped the useless removal company to load the vvan. Oh my goodness I will never forget that day, those days.

Hub has been looking at houses closer to work. But if we move there, it’s too far from our friends. I know we only see them about once every six weeks, but the knowledge that if we ever need anything urgently, we know that they will be there and this is too important.

Sighted people are so lucky, even those who can’t see but have sighted partners, you can live anywhere. We have to pick. Did I pick badly? I personally don’t believe so. We could have ended up in a quiet house, but were miles from everything or find somewhere peaceful in the garden, but rough as soon as we left the front door. Our neighbours here all look out for one another and are really friendly, so there you go… Smile. Grump over.

Today in the news I was reading about a lady in South Africa who stole a baby from a hospital many years ago and now it has been discovered who the child who is now I believe a teenager

Belonged to. The lady has gone to court and has been jailed for I think ten years. The little girl or teen, doesn’t want to know her natural parents.

How do I feel about this subject? Very sad. Firstly, you have to ask why did the lady take the baby? Then you have to feel for the mother who lost her baby. Gosh I can’t think of anything worse. When I had my baby in hospital, I was shocked by the lack of security in there. I took my baby everywhere including when I had a shower, he went in the bathroom with me in his crib. I was attached to a machine and trying to get me, the machine and the baby to the bathroom on my own was a nightmare. I even slept with him if you can call it sleep, next to me in the small hospital bed. Oh he was such a little darling. We bonded for sure. I lay there just in complete disbelief how my so called natural Mother could with ease get rid of me as a new born babe. Outside my room door, I heard the 16 year old new mothers discussing how they didn’t want their baby’s and how they had lives to live so they were adopting. I ached for those innocent babies. What futures they were going to have. OK they would have ended up with better parents as I did but the knowledge of their background would haunt them forever. I have scars that will not heal. I wanted to choke those girls. And in the next room was a poor lady whose baby was still born. She screamed during the night and her cries remain on my mind forever. She wanted her baby so badly, it was taken from her. The girls didn’t want their children and they were given healthy babies. What a world we live in. My adopted Mum wanted children so badly and couldn’t have them naturally so gave her love to me and my brother. How difficult that must have been for her to look at us and know we didn’t resemble her or my Dad at all an yet she never let us know her feelings other than she would have given us the best and loved us like a parent who had given birth and I’m sure this lady in SA did that with the baby who wasn’t hers by birth.

I feel for the child who has been put in such a difficult situation. She is far too young to know what she wants. Of course she loves her Mum who is now in jail. She will be afraid grieving for her loss and very confused because her natural parent isn’t who she thought she was. She has lived a lie. How can she ever trust her Mother again? By meeting her natural parents, who are they? Strangers and by meeting them, the girl will feel like she is letting her Mum down. The poor girl, I only hope she has help from someone, I mean, who now will be looking after the girl?

As for the natural Mother, knowing her baby is out there almost grown up without a parent, I just can’t even imagine the pain.

I just wish people would think before having babies? It’s great on the odd occasion when it all works out. If you do get pregnant and you are not with the father, if you both end up together forever and bring your baby up in a wanted environment, fantastic, but whether or not the couple are going to remain happy, is another thing. With all the contraception these days, why are people still having children when they are not fully with a partner? I have just learned that a young girl is with child and she is not with a partner. I’m old fashioned I know. And though I had been married ten years before my Son was born, some would say, including me, I felt alone with him. I just wish people could live in a perfect world where babies were planned wanted and needed in a perfect relationship. Do I live in a fantasy world? I guess I do. My Son is always telling me that Hub and I are well behind the times. And I guess we are.

Whilst I have been writing this, some drama has just been caused so I must go to try to fix it. I don’t think this will be possible, just another crappy day ahead. I’m out of the way from indoors on my own and trouble just follows me. Smile. Gosh for those of you who have a stress free life, you are so lucky, and I hope you have a nice breakfast when you wake up? Haha.

Just got a smell coming from my Mother in laws roses. Among the burning wood fields whatever and traffic. Bless her forever. Will miss her always and so pleased she lives on not only in our heart but garden.

Until later with love, I hope your Monday has got off to a good start. X

DIARY OF CUDDLE ON THE COUCH BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good evening Bloggets. It’s half ten in a humid evening of this part of England. Our television is simply awful. If you don’t like or don’t love I should say the Olympics, you are stuffed for entertainment on the goggle box. Seriously, all night then what makes me mad, the news comes on and the headlines are eaten up by Olympics again. What happened to sport being at the end of the news?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m so proud of little England Team Great Britain have done exceptionally well and to me that is because of the restrictions using drugs. It’s more fair than it ever has been. One thing I can’t stand. Golf. Now, Hub loves sport. So he listens to every part of it. Even the gymnastics, which I just don’t get if you are a man why? I know my friend will put me down verbally because he is very into gymnastics as is his Son, but sorry, I just don’t get it and as for blooming golf? It’s been one hundred and twelve years since golf was featured in the Olympics Bloggets.

Em

Hello?

There’s a reason for that? Golf, in the Olympics? What next, chess? Is this when you all shout chess is an Olympic sport and I just haven’t seen it? Haha. Fishing, now don’t tell me that is a featured sport in the Olympics?

Also during the night, I get notifications to say who has won gold, first thing in the morning before work, Hub is informing me who has won what. All day and night, please tell me, when do they sleep?

Teen told me he was off locally for a walk along the river with his friend. Two hours later, he informs me he is at a cove. O.

K.

At least he lets me know, but his petrol consumption will be high this week as yesterday he met another friend about thirty miles away from here. Where? Wait for this one?

In a cave.

My Son loves his scenery. Even if the only light is the stars and moonlight.

Well, not last night, I guess his mobile phone torch would be his only light as the walls of a cave would blanket him!

He met with a lovely lad he used to work with when he was supervisor. They met half way as he lives a long way from here. He was telling Teen that he has a new job working as a salesman in a car garage. He does seventy hours per week. His pay is rubbish until he is fully trained too. But he gets a car. That is far too long though for anyone to work, right? I know my Husband at his last job used to work up to sixty hours per week. As well as flying all over the world.

I have not long come in from the gym. Hub is still in there. I left him. Twenty two minutes for me… About forty for Hub right now.

I cut myself before as I was chopping. No. Not wood, smile, but celery. Oh I do live a dangerous life?

I put a plaster on my finger and Little Fella keeps trying to gently bite it. Why? Not sure. Oh he was so cute before. I had a cushion on my knee and he put his two paws on me and lay sideways with his stunning head on the cushion and almost was falling asleep before Hub clocked the fact LF was almost on the forbidden knee. Almost got away with a cuddle on the couch.

Well, it’s Monday again tomorrow. I hope I learn about whether or not I have an interview? If I don’t hear tomorrow, I will be sure that I have not been successful. Oh well, never mind. I guess it was worth a try? Bless you are writing asking me if I get the job, haha, such a chance but bless you all, will I still have time to write and chat to you all? Yep, with a capital Y. Writing is my life. And my Bloggets are my family.

Until tomorrow with these words I shall leave you.

“When your back is to the wall and you are facing  fear head on, the only way is forward and through it.” Stephen Richards

DIARY OF TIME WILL TELL BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good day Bloggets. From a very full Fifi. A windy an yet sunny and warm England. How are you all doing? Today was a lovely time with the family.

Teens new girlfriend came I say new, well they have been seeing each other for a few months. She came to meet me some weeks ago. I didn’t care who walked through that door, anyone would be an improvement on the ex. For eighteen months now Teen has been sampling the years he should have had for the previous three years when he was in a relationship. Now he has met a girl he wants to see more than a few times.

What would she be like? Well, she walked through the door, Teen wasn’t here, so her and I got to know a little of each other. She’s grounded and holds a good job that she loves. She is a hard worker for someone of her years. She treats Teen in a way that pleased me. It was refreshing to see.

Since then, she has been back a few times and fits in with our small family with comfort and ease.

Hub thinks she is wonderful and he isn’t easily pleased. And apparently, she likes us. She is fine with the fact we can’t see in fact yesterday when we went out, she was great, just how we would want it to be, very relaxed we didn’t have to explain anything nor did she. She wanted to be with us which was lovely.

We went out for a meal it was a pleasant time laughs and normality. Something that was missing from his previous.

Now I’m not saying that they will be together forever, I think they are still far too young to think like that, but so far so good.

People who have seen her say that she is pleasing to the eye. I still wish I could make a custom made girlfriend for my Son as you Mums of Sons will know, no one is good enough for your boy, but she is lovely we do like her.

Teen went for his job interview. Again, he got an interview because he went to the place. He was sitting chatting to his gf and the manager came over to him. She asked him by any chance was he looking for a job? He said with enthusiasm. He was indeed. She asked for his CV he came home printed it and returned. She told him that there was a large job fair on in the town the following day and people would attend it and from there on they would go through the paperwork and decide who was going to be picked for the interviews.

Late next day, Teen was called and asked to go for an interview. He looked so smart and on his return where he was an hour in interview, he told me the questions he was asked. Gosh they were not easy. His answers impressed me so I was sure they would the person interviewing.

He came home so wanting the job. To start with it was way beyond his capability but he can work his way up the company. Also remember his work now told him he has to pick a job with them or a holiday with us. Ridiculous as he only does twenty hours now as if they couldn’t get someone to do the twenty hours? People there are always asking for more hours. Teen asked ten weeks ago for the holiday too.

Well he received another call to say he had passed the next stage and would he go in for a trial? It was to be for three hours. He was put straight onto the floor doing three jobs in one morning. He came home looking rather tired as a new job a lot to take in. After the three hours, the manager asked to have a word. She there offered him the job. She asked him as well if he would consider promotion after working there a while. Of course he said yes and he starts on Wednesday.  Like the above, he is young so just see how it goes. I tell him, he is nineteen, if he chooses little jobs for the next couple of years, that is OK it’s all experience. It is 36 plus hours per week. And she is fine about him taking a holiday. So now he can go on his holidays and relax knowing that he has a job to come back to, mind you, I know so well that his last job rather current, wouldn’t have finished him, as when he was in the other day, he did all the paper work something as a supervisor he did but he had to leave that role because his car insurance wanted something ridiculous per month from him. So he went to the shop floor and half the hours. But he shouldn’t have done the paper work, but his boss and him were the only two in that day because the rest were on holiday or sick or just didn’t turn in. His boss thanked him but sadly that isn’t the boss who told him to choose between work or holiday, otherwise there wouldn’t be a problem.

Teen handed in his resignation and now the other boss wants a word. This looks bad. I reccon that his boss is going to be a pain about it, as now he realises that he went too far and basically has lost his best worker. Teen was never late and has been sick three days in twenty one months. Has stayed behind to give extra time for no more pay and filled in shifts for those who have not turned in. So his loss.

He is at work now, as has said that he will honour his weeks’ notice and won’t leave them stuck. His nice boss is in, but has told him that tomorrow, he will have to go to the office to talk to the nasty one who will be back from his holidays. Shame the nice boss just can’t sign his paper work and leave it at that.

So life is changing in different ways, not sure good or just different, all about time, and time will tell.

With love till later.
