THE AUNT

Well, good morning to you all from all over the world.

Oh let me tell you, the house today is a right state. I worked so hard to get it looking lovely yesterday, for the sake of half an hour after the Aunt arrived.

As my Aunt burst through the door, our dogs charged at her, she flustered her way into the living room.

She came loaded with treats. For the dogs as well as us. I think, Christmas chocolates were among the gifts, as Hub and teen, say they are off, but, I will not waste them, and do my duty of eating the chocolates on my own, though, teen, I found this morning, helping himself to some. I said to him,

“I thought you said they were off?” Answer,

“Oh, well, on the edge Mum.

Right.

So, she took forty minutes to get here and it should have taken no more than fifteen.

“Where on earth have you been? I asked.

“Well, I had to go to the toilet. I went into the men’s loo’s, I was told I was in the wrong toilet, so I had to ask another man and he had to show me, as I didn’t understand what he was talking about?

I asked, was he foreign?

“No, I just didn’t understand him.

Right.

Then she went to the taxi office. They asked who the taxi was for, she said Aunt Gloria? Hahahahahaha.

Rather than using my sir name and I sent her our code with our address via text, but, her phone died as she was writing it on paper, so, she quoted the three digits of the code, followed by our door number.

So this really confused the company.

Oh well she had arrived at last. Then she of course had to go out for a smoke. I made her the biggest French stick full of salad and turkey, with mayonnaise.

She said

“Oh, our Fiona, I will never eat all of that?

She did.

I asked her if she would like a cream cake and before I could finish what I was asking her, she said

“Yes please.

Then she went out for another smoke and took the dogs with her. I really didn’t want this as they mess up the garden I told her this. They have messed it up too and we have the mess to try and find now and clean up, and like the floors, will it be done nicely? I mean, she said as well, when she came, the garden looked beautiful. Well it doesn’t now. Mud, soil and stones everywhere. I’m sick. The floors in the house are covered in half the garden.

She then said as the dogs dragged through half the garden into the house, we should take the dogs for a walk on the field. I said OK, but not taking LC. She is too much for me, Well Aunt said she wanted to take her, I said she would not be able to hold her and I struggle. Aunt said bring her.

I did. I wished I hadn't I was exhausted before I left the house. Aunt had a right strop, because I said I wanted to take Black Beauty instead. So Wagga and Long Chops took us to the field.

Oh LC, screamed all the way there. I had to hold her with two hands. Then Aunt G got tangled up with LC, so she tried to un tie the leads, by for some reason, wrapping her arms around me, from behind, bear hugging me in the view of the main road and a lovely friend from church, my fellow Geordie girl.

Aunt G, had in the end, to duck down almost to the ground, to untangle the leaders.

Oh the sound affects? Then my friend came over to me and was laughing about what she had seen.

She said a very sweet and touching thing.

As you may know, this Friday, is Teens Prom night. Well the girl he is taking, is a very close friend of teens, they have been friends since week one of him starting his school a year ago this week.

Her Mum is good friends, with my Geordie friend. Her Mum, who must be such a lovely person to think about this, said to Geordie girl,

"Because Fiona and her Husband won't be able to see the photographs, would they like to come around and see the dress and be there when the photographs are getting taken?

What a kind thought, don't you think?

Oh I was so very touched and was really excited to be going to do this.

Well, when I told teen, let's just say, I'm not going now. My heart breaks and I feel like I'm being kicked in the heart and stomach when Teen treats us in such a way that he wants to lock us away and throw away the key.

It's his night, and I'm not to spoil it.

Was just one thing I can publish.

I, mean, I don't know if the girl knows about this, but if she does and doesn't mind, bless her too. I hope when the two of them dance on Friday night, she rubs some of her kindness off onto teen?

Shame too, as relatively new to the area, I was looking forward to meeting with Geordie girls friend, as if she is half as nice as her, she will be a great person and Geordie friend, said the Mum is a wonderful person, with a great sense of humour.

I don't go to school to pick up my child, I don't go to work, how am I to meet with new people and make friends?

This I told teen would be a nice thing to do not only will I be involved, as I was not allowed to go with him to pick his suit, but, I can't even appreciate the photos.

But I told him today, I would have liked to meet with your friends Mum.

Oh well. I hope the angels kiss her for having a very kind thought?

Anyway, I said goodbye to Geordie friend and on Aunt and I went.

Oh God, I was exhausted. we let the dogs off on the field and had a walk around. It was a lovely day. The sun was shining.

Part two later as have work to put my house, garden and life back together, as I feel like I have been in a washing machine.

OMG? SHE IS ON HER WAY!

OK my Bloggets. My Aunt G was two minutes away. After getting the house as clean as possible, Teen tells me the kitchen floor is dirty. I was with bucket cloths and cleaning solutions until after two the morning before Aunt was due.  The many downsides of being blind. I really really cleaned the floors too. I asked teen how long had he noticed the floor was dirty? He said, for a week now. I have cleaned it three times in a week. Grrrrr. What can I do? What more can I do?

I tried calling my Aunt, my mobile read allowed

“Gloria disconnected

It’s not wrong there?

Oh my Lordie? Telling her a simple instruction how to get here is just a comedy show.

She puffs and pants and gets herself in a right state.

I said I would pay for her taxi over the phone to make it easier for her, she said OK

I said I would pay for her to go back too, she said, OK

We will treat her of course to dinner tonight and I’m sure she will say OK

I love her to bits really, as a child; she was the only light in my life. She walked into our house and the sun shun.

She is the only family member I have and at least she bothers coming to see us?

For her to do that bless her, on the train like a grown up is sweet.

My Darling Hub was on his way home. I spoke to him so there was three hours, before I would be giving him the biggest cuddle.

Bunches was to come with us for our Anniversary meal.

More on our day in a Mo Jo! X

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (3) BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Happy Anniversary

By Fiona Cummings

3 years

These words are for the love of my life

Our three years have been full of sugar and spice

We have been through so much troubles and strife

But the day you gave me your name

Was the happiest day of my life

You said I do

I burst with love I had for you

I was so proud to be your bride

Champagne glasses could be filled

With the tears I cried

Teardrops of happiness

I failed to hide

The feelings I had deep inside

I told it to the congregation

How much I was in love with you

In a conversation

I said I was so true

Never before did I feel in such  way

Until you walked in my life that day

Each second spent with you

Is a perfect holiday

When we are apart

I have pains in my heart

Because you mean so much to me

I want to say to you

Darling Happy Anniversary

I forever love you

HIS GIFT

Teen just got in. For his gift from Bunches, he got a lovely present. It is a very soft pillowcase, full of photographs of them both. What a lovely idea? I think she may be coming out with us tomorrow night to our restaurant? Perhaps?

Sixteen hours before  my Hub home. If  all goes to plan with his travel. Oh I can’t wait.

I didn’t like my concoction. I am sure Hub will, he likes healthy muck. Hahahahahaha. He also likes food that is not healthy though? I tried, I really did, now  if Hub had made it, using the same ingredients, it would have been lovely. What’s that about?

It will be a late blog tomorrow, as a full on day with mad Aunt G. But I’m sure there will be lots to chat about?

Thank God, teen has been nice today and yesterday. Funny, isn’t it? Why is he nasty one moment, so sweet the next? I can’t stand it, My Mum used to have a funny saying to go with that, but I won’t  put it on here, but it spoke of sugar.

UK, US, Russia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Vietnam, India, Spain and Armenia have been  in our Blogget place of fireside chats and useless information, but a laugh too, today.  xx

WHAT'S IN THE OVEN IN THE BLOGGET HOUSE TONIGHT?

Exciting day tomorrow, our third wedding Anniversary, my baby coming home and I simply can’t wait. Aunt G coming too. She should be a hoot?

We are going to our restaurant with Hub, Aunt, and teen. I feel like my Hub  has been away for seven weeks. I really don’t know why? I mean, I have thank  God been out with my Flexi friend, also Beany and her lovely BO, so thankful to them also a friend has been keeping  me good company on the phone, but, I have felt so desperately  alone and ached for him.

I spoke with my friend Arty today, her poor Father in law, is still on life support and of course she has the funeral of her Uncle on Friday, so bless her not a good week. She said it took her two days to come down from the high of Oslo. I’m still up there. It was so lovely, I was so proud of my Husband. He is in a class of his own and the people we met I will never forget. They have certainly changed my outlook on life. Touched my heart in a big way.

My friend Beany is enjoying her holiday in Cyprus this week, and I am sure she will love it. We have kept in contact by internet. Technology can, be amazing!

Well, it is almost eight in the evening, I have put in the oven my concoction, of potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, onions, baby corn, peppers, courgettes, aubergines and more, with a tin of tomatoes, chopped and herbs, salt, pepper and a sauce for the top. I cooked it yesterday in the soup pan, and now it is in a casserole dish without the lid. I shall let you know later, what it was like.

I will now go and do some more boring housework, then I better think about wrapping up Aunt G’s birthday presents. Oh I shall tell you about something I had forgot I would tell you, before I go.

There was a knock at my front door the other morning. I went to the door, picked up the keys opened it, and waited for a voice to say who it was?

A man stood there and said

“Morning love, I have a huge package for you!”

Well,

I was flabbergasted. Then I realised it was the postman with a parcel, but, it sounded rather rude?

I was so tempted after I came from the ceiling, to say,

“No need to brag?

He had a cheeky smile on his face, so I bet it is a joke for him. It was for me?

The Blogget manager sent this to me to publish. VIP’s, you won’t see what she is showing, but you will hear the interview. Excuse the guy’s rather odd voice? There are people like this lady, and good on her, she is  a super blindie. I’m not. Xx

WHAT DO YOU MAKE?

catch up

Good afternoon Bloggets. Teen has had a busy day, he went to the gym today, then school he didn’t have to he just wanted to then he came home to do lunch and now out with Bunches. It’s their anniversary you know? A whopping six months today. So  she has a gift for him, he her. He bought her an IPhone case with their photo on and some words that means something to them.

He  was so  funny the other night, he said because Bunches was leaving her school, to  go to  another, she was upset, so to cheer her up, he  bought her  a gift, or some gifts. They were so romantic, till the end and I guess that is where  he showed his age.

He told me he got her some sweet roses, a box of chocolates, and

Banana milk shake

Hahahahahaha.

 Cute or what?

They still have their big day in a couple of weeks, where they are going to London for the day.

This Friday, he has his prom night

. Oh  if we get passed this OK, then I will be glad. I just know there are some girls there who really like him, and he is so loyal, it actually is painful to watch?

I mean, if girls try to talk to him  he tells them streight, he is not available. I said they may just want to be friendly, he says well if that was the case, when I tell them I’m not available, why is it I never hear anything from them again?

He has a point?

He is taking a girl, but teen says she knows it is as a friend. Right, whatever?

Also, there is a boy, who has taken a liking towards teen. Now like everything in my life and now teens, there is a story behind that, I can’t tell you at least at this moment, but it is a heck of a story. Jokingly, I told him to wear slip on shoes?

Encase his  laces come undone?

He wasn’t impressed.

I think Bunches will suffer when teen is at this party, also, there is an after party. Till seven the next day? Morning, then he is due to go to another posh party again with Bunches. I told him he must come  home to sleep I  don’t want him being out till the following morning, as he will drink and drink, till he is ill.

I mean, what kind of parent, allows kids to get like that?

No way I would ever give a child, and they are children till they are eighteen, alcohol.

I know though, I am the only one  who feels like this, most of my friends laugh when I express how I feel about kids drinking.

I, don’t care, I think it is wrong.

. Oh  if we get passed this OK, then I will be glad. I just know there are some girls there who really like him, and he is so loyal, it actually is painful to watch?

Oh, I think he has an interview tomorrow. It’s all very up in the air at the moment, but fingers crossed we should know tomorrow. It’s nothing wonderful, but it is local and pocket money and more.

Talking of money, OMG, the X, has told teen he doesn’t want me to claim for him working now, he  doesn’t want to pay me for teens upbringing. Even though he has a job.

I don’t get how hard it can be? He has a Son, he should want to help towards his upbringing  wouldn’t you think?

If my x won the lotto, he would not want to pay, it’s just his way.

Shame really, otherwise he would be a good guy, from a safe distance.

I spoke with my American family today, she told me that they are going to welcome a soldier back home. After being in Afghanistan and having his two legs being blown off.

Awful, as he is so young with a three year old baby.

One good thing, he will have prostheses limbs, so he will be able to walk. He can drive too, but still wars should not be allowed.

My canary, Irish, seems to be back in full song, thank God, as I was worried.

OK, it’s very late in the day, I have not had anything to eat  yet, so will have some of my concoction I made will tell you later what it was like.

Xx

A VISIT FROM GDI AND CO

Few, Bloggets, I wish we lived walkable distance to a pub? I really really really need a drink or something that you have to be over the age of eighteen to purchase right now, and I don’t like alcohol.

I’m desperate for some wine or anything and I need to get very drunk.

This is something I never feel or ever do?

I just feel like I have been through the mill this week and what has just happened now, makes me really want this more.

I’ve just had a visit from the good people of Guide dogs.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, I received a text, but was on my way out to the garage to put some clothes in the dryer, because of course that is what you do? Go to your garage to dry  your clothes?

Ha. I came in, thought it could be someone I need to  be in contact  with, and so looked at my mobile.

It was the lady from Guide dogs.

“Hi  Fiona, we are outside, if you make your way out, to go to the shop, we will follow you without Waggatail knowing?

Well this text came three minutes before. I panicked. Quickly let Wagga out to pollute, got her  sweet, lead, harness and doggy bag, put on my shoes, locked the doors and off we went.

I am glad it was done in such a way, as I was really dreading them coming so if I knew I was to do this, I would have panicked even more.

Of course all the children would be out at the school a huge distraction.

We crossed the first little road in our street, passing by the overgrown shrubs and wild trees which poked at us last year and now have grown back and come back for revenge.  Revenge for what? Not sure, as I love trees/nature so they should be attacking others, but I guess others would not be so  silly as to rub themselves too close to them?

Their spiky brambly texture scratched my bare arms as I passed by,  but they wore beautiful fine perfumes.

With all the rain combined with the heat, the air was  fresh, an yet, very floral.

We turned at the right place Wagga ignored the man cutting his grass and the person filling a skip. She walked me around bins and so far so good.

All  the time, knowing I am being watched.

We walked and walked the long forever road towards the zoo. The roses have the sweetest fragrance right now, and there is a house where they have a small dog who lives on the windowsill in there, and who warns us to keep away from  his house  each time we pass. I never see anyone out in his garden, or I would ask what they have in their front garden?

Oh it is the most amazing smell. So beautiful. If you could put it into perfume, it would be all what people  would buy.

Well then a true life angel appeared, when I next see her, she will laugh at being described as a true life angel.

She appeared just at the point where the zoo was. Just at the same point where Wagga and I have a battle about her wanting to cross the road to the park and me telling her she has to go to the shop?

This angel shouted

“Fiona, hi!”

I recognised her as a friend from church. We talked for ages, I was so pleased to see her, for one, she calmed my nerves down, as she is so sweet and friendly. Always cheerful too, and two, she gave me chance to think where I needed to go next.

Well we said goodbye after talking for a while, me with the knowledge that we were being watched and I am sure GD ladies would be thinking, for  Goodness sake Fiona get a move on? We have places to go?

Anyway, went to the cycle track and she was perfect all the way, even when we passed the little monkeys in the zoo. They were talking about Forget me nots, so whether or not they were  doing some nature study or what? Not sure.

Now for those new Bloggets, or those of you who are just happening to view this page for the first time, let me explain the talking monkeys?

They are children in their school playground, I call them monkeys, as they are behind a fence, like a cage and they climb on the fence to shout for our dogs. They make sounds that they think are a bark, but to me, they sound like little chimpanzees.

We went to the shop and I got my milk, came out she did great, it’s as though she knew someone was watching her. She was a little badly behaved on the way back, but nothing compared to what she was like in the past.

We had a long and difficult chat when we returned. About should they take her away  if I’m not happy and so on.

I said if they did, someone who gets her would have her a few  weeks and return her. The only reason I still have her is because I am an animal lover. I think it is awful the poor dogs get past from home to home. This is my girl’s home now. I have a  Son who is behaving in a manner I don’t like right now, but this does not say I am throwing him to the lions?

So we kind of passed the hour and a half, chatting about what can be done about her. I have to get a bag that goes over my shoulders. The lady said a (Radley handbag) Ha, for milk? I would die if it leaked. She said the plastic bag was hitting Wagga in the face as I was walking, so I needed a shoulder bag, so I could have a free hand.

I have a tendency to keep in at the left, so my fault again. My confidence would not be good the dog will pick that up. I said my confidence is not good, when one is faced with a huge bus?

My fault because I take Wagga for a free run on the field.

She was not impressed with my friend arty walking there with us. Well I said, Wagga actually looked across the road to the park when I got her, before she went there for her free run?

Then I told her that Arty was doing a good job and had been to Oslo with us, so was perfectly equip to walk  Wagga on the field. To be honest, it’s not a huge issue since we have done free  running here, it was before then.

Then I should have a treat for her when we return, I said I do give her one. She was the lady who said I should have the  dog dish on Hubs piano for home  coming, remember? My Hub will not let anything on his piano, let alone a dog dish?

I remember when I told him that, his face was a picture.

How do I know his face was a picture?

I can tell in the way he speaks, or in this case, how he didn’t say a word, as he was in shock.

Then  when he had a moment to think about life, he had plenty of words to say resulting in I was not to put a dog dish on his highly polished piano? Hahahahaha

I told GD though that I always give her a treat, so in the end I did feel for her  as everything she was suggesting, I was doing, but, she then said

“I don’t understand, when I brought her to you, she  was perfect? What’s happened?” _ Fiona, you have spoiled her?

I reminded her that Wagga would not answer her name when I got her as I told her, also, I said

“If you remember, when I told you what she was like when we had her a couple of weeks, you, said, that she was a different dog and we laughed saying the dogs must have been swapped?

She  just said in a slow voice

Yes

So I was strong. I hoped I would be and thank God I was, or I would be thinking it is my fault.

The long and the short of it is, she asked if they should remove the dog.

God, I said no, I mean, bless her, she is a lovely thing, just needs  training. She is for sure improving. When  I got her, she was dreadful, now she is so much better and like  a man said from Guide dogs, the dog takes up to a year before they really come into themselves, I mean someone like Hub or my friend Jo, who uses their dogs every day for life, I don’t’ know what they are to do for a year? This is where guide dogs abroad work better as they are not qualified until at least two, well the dogs in Oslo for sure that is the case.

Anyway, they left, saying all three dogs were in excellent shape, thanks to them as the dogs only eat the best food, thankfully paid for by Guide dogs, as it is not much change off £100 every six weeks, per bag by the way and I use three.

It is the best food with everything a dog needs  for their health and fur.

I didn’t get wrong for getting my Wagga’s glands seen to, as they hate you doing that, the nurse from GD was here too, so we had the full workout and I think I did an aftercare for Hubs LC too, hahahahhaha. As I had to answer questions about her weight and so on.

All dogs could be in a dog show, they are slim and shiny and have perfect teeth, even old Black beauty. She only looks people say, about eight.

She is eleven.

So they said I was a good parent. I am, because I love them. I would never let them be overweight, as I  know that is so bad for their health and they don’t think because I feed them toast as one of my friends does each morning her dogs get a slice of toast and butter, the dogs  don’t feel more loved, honest, they just  get unhealthy and get diabetes, heart troubles and joint trouble. I love animals so I don’t want them to hurt.

My friend makes her dog a Sunday dinner with Yorkshire puddings at least three times a week? Really bad for the poor thing,  and her dogs can’t breathe.

So now they have gone and I did feel a little sad, as the GD lady who passed me and Wags, is leaving this area, so I will never see her again and she was rather tearful when she left. That was really quite sad bless her. I think she will take the move rather badly. She is moving area, so new house new friends to be made too. I know that feeling and it is hard.

She asked if I would keep in contact and I said I would, and I will as when we were (training  with Waggatail, her and I had some fun. Shopping. Hahahahah. Training? What’s that?

Never mind, all fine now.

Later gators.

READ TO THE END

From the Blogget Manager
Snakes also known as Garter Snakes (Thamnophissirtalis) can be dangerous Yes, grass snakes, not rattlesnakes. Here's why.

A couple in Sweetwater, Texas, had a lot of potted plants. During a recent cold spell, the wife was bringing a lot of them indoors to protect them from a possible freeze.

It turned out that a little green garden grass snake was hidden in one of the plants. When it had warmed up, it slithered out and the wife saw it go under the sofa.

She let out a very loud scream.

The husband (who was taking a shower) ran out into the living room naked to see what the problem was. She told him there was a snake under the sofa.

He got down on the floor on his hands and knees to look for it. About that time the family dog came and cold-nosed him on the behind. He thought the snake had bitten him, so he screamed and fell over on the floor.

His wife thought he had had a heart attack, so she covered him up, told him to lie still and called an ambulance.

The attendants rushed in, would not listen to his protests, loaded him on the stretcher, and started carrying him out.

About that time, the snake came out from under the sofa and the Emergency Medical Technician saw it and dropped his end of the stretcher. That's when the man broke his leg and why he is still in the hospital.

The wife still had the problem of the snake in the house, so she called on a neighbor who volunteered to capture the snake. He armed himself with a rolled-up newspaper and began poking under the couch.. Soon he decided it was gone and told the woman, who sat down on the sofa in relief.

But while relaxing, her hand dangled in between the cushions, where she felt the snake wriggling around. She screamed and fainted; the snake rushed back under the sofa.

The neighbor man, seeing her lying there passed out, tried to use CPR to revive her.

The neighbor's wife, who had just returned from shopping at the grocery store, saw her husband's mouth on the woman's mouth and slammed her husband in the back of the head with a bag of canned goods, knocking him out and cutting his scalp to a point where it needed stitches.

The noise woke the woman from her dead faint and she saw her neighbor lying on the floor with his wife bending over him, so she assumed that the snake had bitten him. She went to the kitchen and got a small bottle of whiskey, and began pouring it down the man's throat.

By now, the police had arrived.
Breathe here...

They saw the unconscious man, smelled the whiskey, and assumed that a drunken fight had occurred. They were about to arrest them all, when the women tried to explain how it all happened over a little garden snake!

The police called an ambulance, which took away the neighbor and his sobbing wife.

Now, the little snake again crawled out from under the sofa and one of the policemen drew his gun and fired at it. He missed the snake and hit the leg of the end table. The table fell over, the lamp on it shattered and, as the bulb broke, it started a fire in the drapes.

The other policeman tried to beat out the flames, and fell through the window into the yard on top of the family dog who, startled, jumped out and raced into the street, where an oncoming car swerved to avoid it and smashed into the parked police car.

Meanwhile, neighbors saw the burning drapes and called in the fire department. The firemen had started raising the fire ladder when they were halfway down the street. The rising ladder tore out the overhead wires, put out the power, and disconnected the telephones in a ten-square city block area (but they did get the house fire out).

Time passed! Both men were discharged from the hospital, the house was repaired, the dog came home, the police acquired a new car and all was right with their world.

A while later they were watching TV and the weatherman announced a cold snap for that night. The wife asked her husband if he thought they should bring in their plants for the night.

And that's when he shot her.

HOT TUB AT 2 a m

Teen came in at five. He had a great time at the party last night. He and Sister Buns BO, went for a take away, just to fill their boots, as they thought, it would be finger food. The two lads ate chicken and then went to meet with the girls. Bunches and Sister Bun. With Mum and her new bo, they took a taxi to the event. It was in a huge field. They got out of the car. They were met by hunky guys on stilts, showing them where to go. In the large tent they went. Teen said it was done out like a fair ground. There were barrels with champagne and some other drink. There were car seats to sit on. There was an area where you could relax, sitting on cuddly toys with fairy lights and sound effects.

Outside were the coconut stall, a large carousel and other games. A hot dog stall which did enormous frankfurters. There were tubs of popcorn too. All free. Heaven for kids?

After teen had a great night there, they were picked up by Daddy Bun and went to his house, and spent the early hours in the hot tub……

I didn’t ask, as well as not asking about sleeping arrangements.

The birth of Prince William and Kate’s baby is to bring quarter of a billion pounds to the UK. With merchandise.

Well, I have the most humongous pot of every vegetable you can think of. I have made the sauce and it’s ready for tomorrow. I am looking at it thinking, I would really rather not bother. I just have a problem with eating and I am enormous? Mad, or what?

I am missing Hub so much. It is killing my insides. I feel like I am being eaten away from inside.

Right off to do some work and prepare myself for people from guide dogs coming tomorrow. I’m so dreading it. I don’t think it is going to be good news.

Xxx

Greetings from Boston I thought I would take over the blog page for a while! I hear it is quite cold in the United Kingdom today well we are experiencing an extremely warm day here in Boston! After a number of days of conference during which I gave a keynote address I have a rest day today before the final push tomorrow. Thank you for your many visits to the page and for trying to keep our writer happy

THAT'S LOVELY MUMMY

Hi, my teen still not in and it is almost 3 p.m. So I guess no tea again for us? I did ask him to be back for late lunch but I guess he has no choice, when he is relying on Daddy Bun to bring him back?

My dogs have just had a cute moment. As I had little Waggatail on the floor in a head lock as you do, she was on her back, wanting her tummy scratched. Or, surrendering?

Next thing I know, Long Chops and Black beauty also on their backs, twelve legs in the air.

So I joined them.

14 legs in the air.

Hahahahahahaha.

Joking.

Really, I’m joking…..

I had two hands to scratch two bellies, but had to share them with dog number three. Oh they were in puppy heaven.

My Canary, Irish, has not made much sound today again. Really worried about the poor baby. He is on his swing, moving but no singing, this is unusual?

Unless his feathers are coming out? They go quiet then.

Teen just text whilst writing this. He doesn’t know when he will be back. He is having a family Sunday dinner. There is the Grandmother, Daddy Bun, his girlfriend, Teen, Bunches, Sister Bun and her boyfriend. I told you, it’s like the Walton’s.

Right, off in the rain to groom the beasty girls then to clean our bedroom. With love.xx

OH GOD. I HAVE DONE IT AGAIN.

OK, my dearest Bloggets, I must tell you of what you’re crazy Fi Blogget has done today. A real blonde moment, in fact no, that is an insult to blondies. A real Fi moment.

Serves me right for going to bed at silly time and being so tired, I can’t be bothered to turn on the dishwasher, but I have to, so this is the result.

I went to remove dishes from the washer. I could smell a very lovely sweet vanilla fragrance?

I wondered if I was using a different dish washer tablet. I hoped not, as though the smell was quite nice, though a little on the sweet side, I like my dishes smelling of lemon, or even better, nothing.

So as I am removing the dishes, I could smell the perfume getting stronger. I felt the dishes, they were perfectly clean, then came the glass that I kind of thought I shouldn’t put in, as it is a small one and very old?

But it was fine.

Then, the cutlery section? OMG?

What on earth was that? A plastic utensil that had melted? Surely not?

Well, right, not.

The blooming glass, was not an old glass from my cupboard, but a vanilla candle?

OK. So very funny, get it out of your system…

Now I have scraped and washed, I start round two, but with twice as many dishes, as, I don’t know what was what so had to wash everything.

See ya.

THAT SPECIAL PERSON, THAT SPECIAL TIME.

Good day to you all, I went to bed as clock number one, struck five a.m.

My house is on the border line of being like an old friend of ours. I say old; he wasn’t in age, just in soul.

His house was full of clocks and my friend and I used to laugh as they never went at the same time, not even close by the way? There could be fifteen minutes between them all. He had about six. Grandfather clocks, Grandmother and mantle clocks. All chiming. They drove you mad. I love clocks. Love the history of them. As I have told you lots of times before about my English living in America Dad’s beautiful clock, which has a real soul. I absolutely love it. It represents family from yesteryear.

I think it was his great Aunt’s. I always see him sitting next to her, her on a rocking chair, and him by her side, kneeling down looking up and listening to her telling stories as she knits him a jumper for the winter.

Now then, one, she may not have ever knit? Two, she may not have owned a rocking chair, but, for sure she owned the clock. I can almost smell the room, with its thick rich polished wood and shelves of old books. Some cakes baking in the oven and the fire crackling behind a worn out beige fireside rug. With crocheted cushions so neatly propped on their corners and some lavender in a vase on the netted windowsill. A dull light just gives some shadowed comfort to the room. My DD in his shorts, as boys wore them in those days? With his little metal fire engine in his hand as he looks in glee towards his Aunt. Well their clock has been around the world and still ticks over a century later. Travelled from the UK to America. I think the clock was old when the Aunt bought it, so what history?

When my English in American Dd reads this, Hahahahahahaha. He will be thinking, oh my God? But I like that image.

Well getting back to my old friend’s clocks, he had such pride in them. He had what I can call a quirky house. He was and still is, blind. We would get out the taxi as we visited him; walk up the step to get on his path, down a huge step. Then down another couple of steep steps, before walking into the door. As we entered the door. We walked down four more steps into his living room. To get to the kitchen, you would walk up those steps again, and up stairs, to the bathroom, was two flights of stairs? Now we won’t even talk about the danger of his back garden? He had music boxes from the auctions and old everything including furniture. Now he was in his forties?

Very unusual person.

I remember when I bought Hub the cuckoo clock, this man got great delight in looking at it, bless him.

He is very eccentric and will be a very lonely person as he gets older. Sad people like that, I think loneliness, is the most horrible thing. I often wish I had a magic wand and was able to visit people who are alone, the only trouble is,  I would end up feeling really sad for them and want to adopt them all.

If there is someone in your street or nearby you and they live alone, if you can just say hello to them, what a difference that will make? If you can stop and talk to them, you will make their day. If you can arrange a cup of tea with them, that will make their week and to arrange a visit once every week or so, that will make their life so much better and half an hour of time. To improve a life of someone that costs nothing, what a wonderful person you would be? Remember too, I really believe in what goes around comes around. You just don’t know your destiny. You don’t know what your future is? You could be a high flyer now, global travel, business person of the year, having to turn down friends requests of going out, as you just have too many commitments, but, that can all change. In a accident, or your mind may not be able to cope with life, so you cannot help having a breakdown an you will find yourself in that place of loneliness.

If you are, I hope I can visit you or someone better and laugh with you and make you feel alive.

Everyone needs a special person. Being special, costs nothing. How much is your time worth?

PHONE CALLS THROUGH THE NIGHT?

Good morning. I went to bed at half one. Was really tired but, my Teen phoned me at quarter to two. We were cut off as it was a bad line. He called from Daddy Buns house phone and I couldn’t hear him. The reception is even bad from a land line and he called my mobile, so can’t blame my stupid house phones?

Then he called me from his mobile at two. Then at twenty past two, he text me. Then again, at quarter to three, so I got up. I will go back to bed later just can’t sleep. My eyes feel like they have sand in them, it’s awful I have some friends who suffer from sleep acne? Is it called? Or sleep deprivation? Well it means they wake up so many times through the night because they can’t breathe or they stop breathing. Well, it would be nice to get to blooming sleep?

I tell you the truth; I never sleep more than two hours without being awake for half an hour after then. I wonder what it would be like to sleep for six hours at a time?

I have never been able to do that, unless I have had an operation, then they like to wake you up?

My dogs are all flat out and our Canary, Irish, is making his little cute kissing sounds as though to stir for the day? I hope he does, as he has been alarmingly quiet.

Well, the count down for guide dogs coming on Monday… Then Tuesday is Hub and my Anniversary he returns in the afternoon from the States and my mad aunt is coming.

We are off to her favourite restaurant. Lewis is. Oh as long as she doesn’t follow him in the kitchen this time? Poor man was traumatised?

I have bought her some gifts as it was her birthday last week. I knew she was coming so just kept them, pointless sending them. It’s just some nice shampoo and body lotion. Quite deer. The shampoo, was £10 and the cream / body lotion, was just over that. I feel like I haven’t got her much though, looks nothing, but at the end of the day, it is quite expensive. We naturally pay for her taxi’s, that is £20 and of course her meal. We are kind of hovering at the moment with money; still don’t know if Hub will have a job we will find out at the end of the month.

We won’t count things like the garden centre will we? Just keep that hushed Bloggets.

I’m hungry. Just remembered, I had no tea again. God, I wanted to make a nice meal, but teen went yesterday again at four.

I asked him did he have a nice time. He said he had, but didn’t sound too excited about it? Mind you, Teen doesn’t really do excitement.

Having said that, I could tell, he had a few drinks. I absolutely hate that. In fact, I would go as far as to say I am appalled. So young killing his body. I just have to keep telling myself,  hopefully, he will outlive me, so if he get’s to fifty, well I won’t know about it, that is presuming, I am dead before I am eighty? If not, a little older please? I just don’t want to see it.

I really don’t know why I am so against drink? Don’t get me wrong, I do drink, and I quite like some, but I can go six months without touching a drop. I wish I was as good with chocolate and crisps? Mind you, we have had some in the cupboard this week and I have hardly touched them?

I’ve just seen what it does to people’s insides and skin. Not to mention, their brain?

I guess I am called a bore. OK, I’ve been called worse?

But he is a kid. Under age for drinking. But they are all doing it.

Much more than I would like, so that’s more than once?

Well, if he has a hang over with the drinking, I hope his head hurts him today?

The birds outside are singing, so this is my queue to go to bed. I shall talk later and I have a real funny story for you, remind me please, it’s to do with someone at my door? xxxxx

TOUCH BY FIONA CUMMINGS

TOUCH

BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Your fingertips can see me

Through your touch

How you are able to read me

And love me so much

Like heavens wings

Fine diamond rings

 Precious pearls

Patterns of delightful swirls

Your fingertips see my features

They are like acupuncture

Fixing what is wrong with me

Your eyes don’t see

But your heart can read

You seal the cuts

So I don’t bleed

You plant a flower

From a single seed

You show the blossom

And remove the weed

Your velvet love

Like a warm glove

Sees into my soul

Warms in winter as though fire needs its coal

Refreshing in summer like a cocktail of passion

This is such a deep attraction

A magical moment

Sealed forever with cement

Hypnotic spellbound

Can’t see what’s around

But know what love is

I would answer fully in the quiz

Of what you mean to me

Watching our love grow into a tall strong tree

Love is to the sighted

What the blind can’t see

BLIND LOVE

Today I was asked a funny question.

“How do blind people fall in love and how do they know they are in love?”

Hahahaheheheheheheheeeeehhhhheee

Sorry, I shouldn’t laugh….

But it was funny, though when the person is so serious about such a question, I have to give an honest answer.

“How are people like you so stupid?

No, joking, I didn’t say that because no question is stupid. If it needs to be asked it’s not stupid. The only stupid thing is, if you can’t answer? So here is my answer.

“Em.

Only joking. Well it’s like this. I don’t see who I am in love with now, I could see when I fell in love with my Russian boyfriend and I honestly will tell you, second time around with my now Hub, is amazing. So much nicer than when I could see, though everyone who saw the photo of my Ruski Malchik, said he was the best looking man they had ever seen. He was amazing, but, my Darling Hub is sooooooo special. He is the first blind person I have dated. I don’t know if it is him, or most blind people, or the fact that I have loved him since he was six, or the fact that he is simply gorgeous? Or like you when you fall in love, there is that electric. Blind people use electric too you know? We even have washing machines?

The first time Hub put his arms around me, was as though I was being lifted by God. When our cheeks touched, it was like the feathers of an angel. His kiss was soft, gentle and so very loving. I first held his hand and I had come home. My insides melted like ice from a high roof, into spring plants. I had a rubble of butterflies inside my body. They started fluttering in my stomach but burst open my insides and took over every nerve I possessed.

My face beamed. My eyes apparently shone and I was officially in love.

“What do blind people see in their partners when they fall in love?

Well, next time you are with the one you are in love with, close your eyes. We go by the voice, intelligence the way a man holds you loves you talks to you and about you. Everyone is different, but what I am trying to say is, we fall in love the same as you, the same as we enjoy chocolate the same as you. You enjoy a glass of wine the same as us? We just don’t see who we are looking at. Now, me, I know my Hub was handsome when we were at school, so I just in my head, added some years onto him.

Because I have that picture in my mind, it is easy for me; Hub has never been able to see. He says he loves my voice, my accent, my hair and a few other bits and bobs… But we just have a connection. He thinks I am beautiful, and for that moment, I am glad he can’t see, only for that moment, as bless him, if only he could see, I bet he would run like heck? Hehehehehehe

I tell you though, I would chase him.

When my Husband touches me, he has hands like velvet. He is just beautiful. Some men who can see look at me, I don’t see what they are looking at, but, I can feel, my Husband looking at me.

OK, those who are our friends, you can come from behind the couch now or put away your buckets….

I’m finished on this subject... Thank you to the person who asked such a question. Oh, one of my friends likes people who can make him laugh. But you know when I introduced hub to my girlfriends, they said how handsome he was, and at the back of my mind, I remember that, this is good. xx
