THURSDAYS DIARY

Thursdays diary

Today I am off to the hairdressers with hub who also needs his hair cut. It is silly hour through the night. I had three hours sleep and no doubt will go to bed in about half an hour, shattered. Last night we caught up with a couple of dramas we had recorded, as with Hub working abroad so much, we can not watch the television like normal people, so every two weeks we stuff as many in as we can. As security Cid, the Teen went to bed at the end of the night, he blew out my candle. I didn’t really want it blown out, but he thinks because we can’t see, we will forget and there will be a fire? This is how much caring children with blind parents have to think about? As if we could not smell the spiced apple candle, but never mind, we did have a laugh, as he shouted, as he blew it out, the wax jumped up and bit him on the nose. After I had laughed, I showed concern that my mantelpiece was okay? Teen was not impressed I asked about the mantle peace before his Rudolf the red nosed reindeer looks! Then I thought how funny it was that he would go to school with a red nose? He is so vain? So he spent ten minutes looking in the mirror and then went to bed. My Hub was not long after him, I went about an hour after that and up again now.

Early morning up, ready and off the the hairdressers. I just hope we can find it without any drama? I am sure a story will come out of it at some point?

Two nights ago, all three of us went to our local Chinese restaurant. Remember the one we used to go to and it closed for refurbishment? Well that was funny, as the lady who ran it/owned it, lives in our street and spoke to us two weeks before the place was suddenly gutted? Now new owners and so very posh inside with a much better menu, though our little friend was missed. But the food was really nice and as we walked in, we had the usual rubbish, “No dogs? Hub had Long chops and I had teens arm. All three of us said the obvious, which you have to say, “It’s a guide dog!” To which the owner replied, “Oh, guide dog, okay, no trouble, come in please?” I mean, it’s getting ridiculous? The dog has a harness on that is obviously a guide dogs harness and they still go through the same procedure of saying no dogs, then after getting told it’s a guide dog, excepting you. Mind, it’s now a Korean restaurant, and don’t they eat dogs there? We kept a close eye on our Long chops though, she was tucked firmly under the table and we checked when we came out, she still had four legs and a tail.

The staff were lovely and very polite, as well as friendly. Most importantly, the place was clean and homely. Our teen without being prompted, explained the decor. The colours and style of the place, leaving nothing out even the mirror on the wall. It was nice to know our surroundance.

We walked back with the fireworks in the background shooting in the air. The smells of the smoke and the chill of the night, made our arrival most welcoming, as we walked in our warm cosy house and shut out the frost behind us.

My little Black beauty was pleased to see us and ran to her cupboard looking up at the handle, as  though to say, “I’ve been a good girl, haven’t chewed your house up, now hand out the chew sticks please?

As the Nativity play at our lovely church is in the not so far distance, the children are getting picked for their parts. Hub is playing the music on that day. There are five songs in total. We just need our teen on guitar, and it will be a family affair?

Oh, there are loads of letters in the basket in the hallway, so hopefully, our teen will oblige and read them for us later on? I dread if one of them is from my X?

Well the cars are already starting their journey to work so I guess I better have some sleep before time to get up?

Hub off to Thailand tomorrow afternoon, so another goodbye and more time for me to reflect life, heavy blogs to come Bloggets?

Oh just thought of a nice blog I would like to tell you about. A happy memory I have. It’s lovely and I hope you will come with me whilst I tell it? Laters my friends? Xxx

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

WHAT’S IN THE BOX?

Good morning my Bloggets,

I am glad to be with you today. I hope I find you well? If you have had a bad restless night’s sleep and have woke up feeling flat, please know there is people in this world, who need you, want you and love you! You may not know the person who needs you, wants you or loves you yet, but I promise they are out there and I care, you know that?

I have woken up so many times. So flat, I felt like there was no one out there and I have been so desperate for a hand to reach out and hold my hand in theirs, and tell me all was going to be okay!

No one came, until much later on in my life. Thank God I am very lucky. Though there are still days, when I feel so very sad and tearful. Then the light comes on and again I can see my way.

Hold in there, the electric will be in your life one day I promise. Just never give up looking for it?

It’s coming up to Christmas, how dreadful this can be to some of you. We watch people laughing and talking about being with their families, and who have we got?

But we are not the only ones, who are alone. There are loads of us, all over the world. Keep looking for others like us and quite the opposite to us, as most of my friends, are so different to me.

If we are all the same, how boring would our conversation be?

We would have no one to bounce off against. As we would know the answers our friends were going to give?

We would know the questions we were going to be asked too, so I guess what I am saying, is look for something new and different. Open a parcel of exciting gifts, and find a box in there, open it  not knowing what it is, imagine unwrapping that box, not knowing what is in there, would you have expectations on what you were about to reveal? What would happen if you were told what it was, no excitement for you, well my Bloggets, get looking, get opening and together with me, get excited! x

WHAT I OVERHEARD

Wow, to hear my Hub on the phone he sounds so confident and so very in control. He has a brain the size of the globe and such Charisma. What a good business man he is, a real pro! I wish I had in life people who believed in something I did? I, wish I could believe in something I, can do?

The fear of blindness has been suffocating me for life, but now I am ready to step out and go dancing.

I have a song in my heart and a tune in my step!

But a part of me will never leave the low pits of life and never will I become complacent about the crippling disability, which blindness can bring!

Long chops and Black beauty, are moaning for their dinners. Their body clocks have not changed like the clocks yet?

You know my dogs talk, don’t you? I heard Long chops say to Black beauty yesterday,

“BB, what’s going on with our dinners? We are not getting them till later on in the day?”

Black beauty replied

“Oh, LC, stop talking, I’m sleeping!

Oh, BB, that’s all you do? I’m talking about dinner? The DINNER! Word?

“Hmm, hmm, whatwah wah? Did you say Dinner, L? Where? It’s mine!”

Oh you greedy lab BB,

“I’m not greedy Lc!”

“Yes you are BB, it’s a fact, Labradors are greedy?”

“Oh, LC, you would not know a fact, if it hit you in your long chops!”

“Oh BB, your so much older than me, tell me why Mummy is feeding us later now days?”

“Oh, now you have woken me up LC, I will explain! Come and sit next to me?”

“Nah, you smell BB!”

“and you are stupid LC, I can get a bath, you can’t get a new brain?”

“Oh, sorry BB, tell me?”

“It’s like this LC, when the nights get dark, we go longer, without any food, and when the light nights come back, then we get fed earlier!”

“Oh, well BB, can we ask the light nights to come back BB?”

“No LC, I heard Mummy telling Daddy, that it had something to do with the changing of the Cesar!”

“Oh, Ok BB, thank you for telling me that, I may just have to eat you now!”

My typical lab, always thinking about her food, Cesar, is a dog food in the UK and she is ten and a half, so perhaps she mistook Cesar for season? x

GOING PAST THE ZOO FOR MILK

My husband has been working from quarter to nine this morning.  He has written papers and had numerous conference calls. He told me that he has seen some fantastic inventions whilst he was in the U.S, but he is unable to talk about them, till they get the Ok! A campaign he has been very passionate about for some time now and really had to work hard to make it work has been passed. America has agreed to share the same Braille as the UK. Unified Braille. So we all touch the same language, haha.
What have I done today? Fed and watered my Husband, tidied up just a little and relaxed talking to my very dear friend. Then I had to go to the shop for some cash for Hub leaving for work in the South tomorrow, and we needed milk.
It was raining cats and dogs, and my dog did not like getting her feet wet, so she avoided every puddle, making sure I stood in every one of them?
Well we passed the first little school and they were having their play time. It was like a swarm of bees, coming to the honey pot, or loads of chimps behind cages, screaming to be out. The noise? Was just dreadful. I could not hear a thing, which leaves you disoriented, as I am to tell the dog where she is to go, not the other way around, like what some people say? A lady passed me and said something about a bike; I have not got a clue what she said? This is how loud it was, they were all shouting on Black beauty, making dog noises and shouting to me about I think stroking the dog and of course my BB, so much wanted to play with them, so keeping her under control, was really hard, when I wasn’t even sure if we were going in the right direction? I don’t know how deaf blind people manage?
I got the milk and cash, from the till not the cash machine, I’m not that brave? Knowing me, I would do something really Fi fied? Like when my Russian friend came to the UK for the first time in her life, the first time she had been to the west and knew nothing about  the free world and  all of our gadgets, we went to our local shopping centre and we needed to use the toilets? When we came out, to wash our hands, we went to dry them. My Russian friend guided me to dry my hands and she pushed and pulled at the machine, even banging the top, as the paper must have been stuck? People passed us and looked, saying nothing, and then my friend read in her broken but brilliant English,
“Sanatory towl dispenser!” (Oopsy)
We looked like right drips?
This leads me onto another story that I shared with my friend and thought you may like to read about our stupid mistake?

ESENCIAL MASSAGE

During our holiday in the Caribbean some years ago, we hunted the limited shops and stacks of stalls, to find some lovely massage oils.

We could not find the fragranced essential massage oil Hub had talked about, so decided to ask the waitress we befriended at the hotel if she could get us some and we would pay her? Well Hub, told me how beautiful the oils were there and I could not wait to try it? He said it would be a bad idea to open it before we got home, because it would go all over the case?

There was such a ceremony made of it all, the hand over was like getting a knight hood?

Well all wrapped well in the case, we took it home at the end of our holiday, and as soon as I got through the door, well, Ok, a few hours later? I opened the oil, thank God, it had survived the journey? Big smiles on our faces as we opened it to smell the beauty of the Caribbean!

I was speechless.

It was cooking oil!

I know she was a waitress, so she must have got it from the kitchen, at work? We thought the label was a little homemade looking, but presumed, it was because it was natural, and not commercial?

That was for sure another Oopsy moment!
Well going now to make my Darling Teen some soup, as he is not very well, he has had a sore throat for three weeks and a cough. I tried to get him an appointment for the docs,  but it was for two weeks time? He is still going to school, though he tried to get out of it today, but Mummy sent him, I mean, if you are at work, you have to go, most of the time anyway? Good lesson.
Till tomorrow my  Bloggets. XX

POUR YOURSELF A DRINK, PUT YOUR FEET UP AND COME WITH ME?

PARADISE

Happy Tuesday Bloggets. Hub came home safely after seventeen hours travel in total. So one taxi, one aeroplane, the London tube, a train and another taxi, then through the door.

One tired Hub!

Whilst my Husband is working hard, I thought I would have a chat with you all!

I would like to talk to you about a beautiful experience I had when I was 14 and had a break in the former U.S.S.R.

I had five weeks of dreadful eye treatment in Moscow. Four injections every day but the Sundays. The Saturdays were extra to the other many foreign patients; my eyes were so bad, that they wanted to give me huge doses of whatever they put into my eyes.

Most people that went to Russia for the eye treatment could see very well. Sadly my eye condition was well developed at birth. My eye condition, can affect you from birth, when you are a child or adult. You just never know but I hope to God, my Teen will be ok, as he so far can see well, but the first ten years of his life, was so bad. Torture actually? I really suffered on whether or not to have a baby, as I did not want to pass on my hereditary condition.

A friend said to me one day,

Medicine is progressing so fast, imagine if you don’t have a child, and there will be a cure by the time the child  is five? She was right in one way; thank God I had my Teen, but no cures as yet.

My Son is struggling with the fact that he can have a child who may be blind? He asks a lot of questions about it and I am left feeling really guilty, but oh, God, without him? Would be too painful, him being blind though, excruciating.

The treatment in Russia was so painful.

for three years, I had been having eye injections as well as the ones in my but. They were dreadful and the visit I am going to tell you about, I had to have face injections. Right into my cheek bone.

The conditions in the hospital were appalling but not as bad as when I was little. Leaches still were crushed in a jar under the sink in the room where we had our needles. Why were they there? Because they were used, to take blood!

Thank God, when they tried with me, a nurse intervened and I got the injection instead.

Tomorrow, I will tell you about the treatment and conditions of the hospital, but warning, it may shock you?

Today, is a lovely blog where you can have your favourite drink, hot or cold, and put your feet up and go with me to my past and join in with a lovely time in my life?

I could hardly bare to touch my eyes they were so painful and still had the awful sick feeling that the needles left me with. The Russian minors Union, who were the most amazing Union / people for helping my Mum and I to get to Russia, wanted to treat me to a break, knowing that I had such a traumatic five weeks.

To be honest, I had a boyfriend in Moscow. My first man friend, another story. I wanted so badly to have my last week in Moscow, and knowing what I know now,  I think there was an ulterior

Motive in their thoughts.

I was to go to Tashkent, Samakan and Sochi. Three places in seven days. First destination, a three hour flight to Sochi.

OMG, we were treat in a way I will never forget, a little over the top

 Perhaps?

We had a Government car come for us on the tarmac, right next to the steps of the plane. Far from the first time we were met with two soldiers pointing guns at us in Moscow? A young man introduced himself to  us in perfect English.  He was really handsome and flirted with me from second one, but I had eyes for my new boyfriend back in Moscow. The young man was called Slava and he was a Dr? God, I had never seen a Dr looking like that before, the Drs I knew, were like crumpled up paper bags?

We drove through the narrow lanes of Sochi. We had to slow down in the chauffeur driven car, as the huge plate like blooms of magnolia, kissed our form of luxury transport  as we passed.

What a sweet place, so far from the enormity of Moscow.

People on the narrow lanes had to step to one side to allow us through, as we passed they removed their  sun hats to show signs of respect?

This was crazy. Who was I? We pulled up at a small guest house looking building. We were met at the front door by so called, “Our staff!” “What?”  This was getting too pretentious for my comfort zone. We were soon to learn, that the whole house, was for us three only, my Mum and myself as well as our funny friend/interpreter, Irene.

We had a chef, a maid and our Dr Slava, as well as a chauffeur.

The rooms we had to sleep and live in was amazing, with luxurious chocolates and local candies. Fresh fruits and bottles of alcohol and  juices. Nuts were in the finest Chrystal dishes, oh, it was so lovely. We had two balconies which looked over the most picturesque court yard. With its fountains and benches to sit on and beautiful flowers, almost tropical looking, went together, with the smells of the black sea close by.

The Doctor, took me on his speed boat and to feel the freedom of the waves was  for me incredulous. It was a dream, a life for others.

I had so many laughs with our Irene, she was a beautiful blonde bubbly girl, who kept me entertained with her stories of her two lovers and her Husband, oh, and her twenty five abortions, I must say, I kind of struggled with that one, but you could not help but love Irene, as she told you about her lifestyle. She was so picture pretty, her baby blonde curls framed her  pleasant face. Her perfect manicured nails were painted rose red and she was never without make up, though only a  small amount as she was a natural beauty. But what made me laugh, was the fact that she had  no shame, in wearing a peace of white paper,  over her nose, kept on by  her sun glasses. OMG, she looked so funny? I cringed as a teen would walk with her looking like that.

The heat was fire like and did not agree with my pure white skin. I did the honours of burning for Britain.

One day, in my book, if I ever get the plesures in writing, I will tell you so much more about the holiday, as so much went on, like one day, we were taken to a garden of friendship. Famous people from all over the world, planted or grafted a tree there and the public could walk around and read the names on the trees.  As I was looking at the trees in wonder of all the names that had been there, I was taken by the staff of the friendship centre to one tree in particular.  This tree had the names on Tony Ben and Yuri Gagarin . Uri was the first man to go to space, and there was no Hollywood about that.

The next thing I knew, was a spade was being brought. I stepped back, and waited with bated breath, to see who was coming for this plantation? Oh God, it was me?

So now still to this day, my name is there hahahaha. I was given a certificate to say any time I wanted to come and pick my oranges from my tree I could.

What a beautiful moment? Though as everyone in the park, seemed like everyone in Sochi, came to clap as I dug, I again as a teen, recoiled.

Oh I had a wonderful time in Tashkent too. I will tell you about that in another blog, but in the meanwhile, I hope you have enjoyed the journey today into my pleasurable past?

With love

HUB HOME TONIGHT

Hub home tonight

I had a lovely night yesterday at church. I went with my teen. It was freezing cold, icy cold, on the way there. The air was full of bon fires and fireworks, as it is that time of year here in the Uk! I love the smell of it all.

The church was warm and welcoming as ever and my lovely Welsh friend came over to chat as did his beautiful Daughter. Teen was entertained by that one, though neither of them would say a word to each other, though they are the same age and if you read a much earlier blog, you will know, I had them going to the same school? “They don’t by the way, that was one of my blonde moments!” The guitarist I think broke his strings, well, two of them on the first song, but he was still good, as was, the lovely dedicated lady on the piano. She is the wife of my funny Welsh friend. She is there every week bless her apart from one, when Hub filled in for her well deserved break. I think Hub will be doing the music for the Nativity play too? So bless her, she can relax. She even did the service?

There was a man stood behind me, who sang for the church and he was great? Wow what a voice? A little wobbly, but so deep and my ears could not hear anyone else sing for him, as he was mesmerizingly magical. A real unique voice. Lots of cheerful songs, about eight?

Then time for tea and talk. I spoke with a really lovely girl from my home town of Newcastle. It is so good to hear the Geordie accent again. My teen was so impressed with her and told something he just can’t stop talking about, and begs me to apologise to her about; I said I wouldn’t as want to let him sweat? We have a so called singer in the UK called Cheryl Cole. She is very pretty, but hasn’t got much upstairs, if you know what I mean? And whenever she talks, I cringe, as she represents where I am from. So teen says in a nice big confident voice,

“I love your voice; you sound like a less dopy Cheryl Cole?

Oh, God! I said “You can’t say that? The poor girl chuckled as Teen realised what he said and began digging the hole a little deeper, saying

“Oh, I don’t mean you are dopy, “ (THICK)”I mean, you have a voice like Cheryl Cole, but she sounds  not so very intelligent, you sound better, I  mean you don’t sound as thick, I mean not thick…….

And this went on and on, oh God? But the girl took it well and Teen did not get a slap, but he feels so bad about it, it’s funny?

She is a great lass though and so much fun. One I would love to befriend properly. She’s got background and warmth.

It was a great night; the poor man in charge had a really sore throat though and could hardly talk. I think there are a lot of colds going around now.

Hub home later on tonight. He has been travelling since two this morning and will walk through the door, at half eight tonight. I know he does not like full dinners, when he returns from long trips, so might order a pizza or two? Yep, will do that, but get them delivered, not looking like a tea pot again?

”Earlier blog!”

Well waiting for parcels to come from Amazon for Christmas gifts.

I have a bit of a problem. I ordered two C.D’s. One for teen, one for Hub. Now, how will I know the difference? “Em!”

I can’t ask teen to tell? Oh, I will just get out the ironing board and play them and have a bit jig. Haha, any excuse to play new C.D’s?

Thank God no news from the X as yet with his nasty threats? Fingers and eyes crossed. Much love. X

MY SILLY MOMENTS IN LIFE

I am a natural blonde, and when jokes are made of blondies, I say “Ha, their just jealous? But I am the first to admit, I do have blonde moments! When I first moved into our new house, well, new to us, there were loads to do and one of the jobs was to wash all the windows and doors outside! So, picture the scene?

Ok, there I was, cleaning windows and doors of my house, great big orange bucket and cloths. I bend over, there is a really loud wolf whistle” God, I cringe?  I think, oh, it can not be at me?

Next day, I go out again, same thing happens. I come in, really red, explaining to Teen. He is disgusted. He wants to go and sort out the man and tell them how disrespectful they are being.

I calm him down it keeps happening, I am convinced I am living next to a pervert?

My Son goes out, he comes in telling me a girl whistled at him, he stands in front of the mirror in the hall, priming himself as he tells me. My Hub goes out another day and he comes in with a very embarrassed persona, saying the whistle has been at him, today?

By that point we realised we shared the street, with either a bisexual, or the local village idiot?

It was a couple of weeks later, when we found out, across the road, was an Avery!
Lots to chat about today my Bloggets. xxx laters.

THE THOUGHT OF GETTING TO THE WRONG DOOR

Well I got to bed at about three this morning; I could not for the life of me sleep again. Oh you know when you are trying to sleep and you just can’t? You get so stressed as you know you should be a sleep, but you physically can’t relax? My heartbeat was increasing, my stomach was in knots and I mentally was getting so churned up! I tossed and turned and knew I must sleep before church?

I was determined I was going too. This feeling of wanting to go somewhere on my own, is so new to me, I have to pinch myself, to see if it is a dream?

I was just drifting off, when I received a text from my Hub. So there is my phone with its wind chimes as its text alert, going on my windowsill. I read it knew he was ok and then could relax. It was about half six. I had two and a half hours sleep then was awakened by my trusted alarm, playing a jolly wake up tune.

I must admit, I did contemplate on saying no to getting up as was in a deep sleep, but only for about fifteen seconds.

I got up, had a shower and got ready. Straightened my wavy hair and put on some make up, sprayed my perfume, made the bed, opened the blinds and let the dogs out.

Said bye to the teen and he asked for a hug as he always did and groaned

“See ya in the morning. I told him it was the blooming morning; he pulled the duvet over his head and asked if I would close the door behind me?

Off we went my dog and I to church and was warmly welcomed by the lovely people there.

My funny Welsh friend was there and his beautiful daughter, my coffee cup friend was there and came and hugged me she is so lovely and I sat next to a warm sweet lady and her Husband. They are all so good at the church, they are really really kind people and thoughtful. Never ignore me and they could, as I would not know they were there? They never leave me out and always ask if I wish to take communion and let me know what is  going on at the front, as specially our friend from the BBC, as when the congregation laugh at something a child has done for example, we just sit there oblivious, hahahahahaha. I don’t really mind at all it’s something I have become accustom to, but the thought of everyone is so unique. I am so glad I have found a lovely place to thank our maker for what I have. Today I said a prayer for a friend of mine who is going through a split with his family and I wished for his pain he will feel to be lessened and for the safe arrival of Hub tomorrow night, also thanked our maker for my Sons safe arrival from his party and a beautiful friend I have made this week. All in a week.

The trust we put in our guide dogs is amazing. Funny you know, I received an email from Guide dogs yesterday, all about a meet and greet they are having in our town.

I thought, Hmm, I might go? I read down and it said that we all would be most welcome to meet with volunteers and fund raisers for guide dogs and let them know how grateful we are for their help? Then it went on to read

“But we would like to keep the numbers of dogs down, so if you can come without your guide dog, that would be most helpful?” “What? Sorry, but why have a dog if you don’t need it to get to the town? Ok, some people have sighted partners, but not everyone and the ones who do, why would they want to go to such an event and why should they?

Is the whole point of it not to say, look at the dogs you help? Look how we can get about with the lovely animals? Thank you for helping us both?

Obviously I am missing something here? Really the quicker the RNIB take over Guide dogs, the better.

Well I’m off to church tonight again with the teen this time. The cake and the pretty girl with my Welsh friend may help to get him there. He said when he was a tiny boy, about three; remember my teen was never a normal child? He spoke in full converse from before he could walk almost. “If there was such a thing as God, why are you blind?”

I had no answer, as for one, I was in shock that he could aske such a grown up question, and two, I’m not sure of the answer.

But tonight’s church, is sing sing sing. Would help if I knew the words, but hey ho! I am stuffed, I don’t read  Braille and I can obviously not see print. But the atmosphere is lovely and there is a really nice lady who tells me of her delicious offerings she has made so there is her food to enjoy afterwards, mostly for me there is another chance to be with good nice people, who are warm and have done more for me than they will ever know!

WHO'S A CHEEKY BOY THEN?

I have just found out that my Hub is not coming home as early as I first thought. That is like a blow to the head. So I thought he was due home at half eight in the morning, no, it's night time.

I used to read every line of his crazy schedule, but find it too painful and imagine him every move so now I don’t read it unless I have to, for example if  I have to do some bookings for him or other things. So now I have two days with him before he is away again for another two weeks. Oh well, hay ho and all that?

My teen went to our shop to buy a pumpkin, to make soup for bonfire night, not only were there non left, but they did not even have garlic, so will make another kind for Monday. We have soup, baked potatoes and hot dogs. I don’t have the hot dogs, as for the vegetarian ones, they are revolting. It is almost three in the morning, I have to be up in a few hours for church, I have just realised, that I have not had any food today/yesterday? I don’t know how I am the size I am?

Well ok, I do, I love crisps and chocolate.

A joke from my American Dad.

Two Catholic Parrots.

A lady goes to her priest one day and tells him, 'Father, I have a problem.
I have two female parrots, but they only know to say one thing.'
'What do they say?' the priest asked.
They say, 'Hi, we're hookers! Do you want to have some fun?'
'That's obscene!' the priest exclaimed,
Then he thought for a moment......
'You know,' he said, 'I may have a solution to your problem. I have
two male talking parrots, which I have taught to pray and read theBible...
Bring your two parrots over to my house, and we'll put them in the cage with Francis and Peter.
My parrots can teach your parrots to pray and worship, And yourparrots are sure to stop saying.... That phrase... In no time..'
'Thank you,' the woman responded, 'this may very well be the solution.'
The next day, she brought her female parrots to the priest'shouse..... As he ushered her in, she saw that his two male parrots were inside their cage holding rosary beads and praying..
Impressed, she walked over and placed her parrots in with them...
After a few minutes, the female parrots cried out in unison:
'Hi, we're hookers! Do you want to have some fun?'
There was stunned silence...
One male parrot looked over at the other male parrot and says,
'Put the beads away, Frank, our prayers have been answered!'

Hub has a night off so he is out with our American families friends, he is Jewish and she is Japanese, she is an artist and him a business man. I am sure it will be an interesting meal?

Will go now my friends, as really sleepy. Take care and have a blessed Sunday?

MY AWARD

My award

I had a real difficult time of it in the U.S.S.R for seven long weeks to a child that was an eternity. I had 174 injections and could hardly walk I was in so much pain. The reunion with my Mum after not seeing her for so long was mind blowing. Of course it was all captured on camera and the reunion went out live on the BBC. John Simpson did his first foreign broadcast way back in 1975 with me. I could not show my true feelings for two reasons, one it was shown on the television and two because  my tears had been frozen and my heart had stopped. For the emotion’s which I encountered, were ones of the harshest grief and fear that any adult will ever experience. There was my Mum, after seven weeks of being in my opinion removed from me or me stolen from her. How long would I be allowed to be with her? I couldn’t show her any feelings; I had no feelings to show. It was then, that I learned to box all feelings that I had. That combined with the evilness of boarding school, had left me with ribbons of trusting anyone.

Of course like  everything in my life, it wasn’t as streight forward as just getting on the aeroplane and coming home, oh, no, lots more went on before my return and I really wish to let you know of that in my one day autobiography.

I did eventually return to the U.k and was asked to go to London, to receive an award. A child of courage award.

Why I really will never know and still do not understand why I received it? I was not brave, I was terrified and once more, I had no choice in the matter of being in a hospital which was like a deadly place of torture to me.

There were people at the stunning hotel that we were put in that really were brave. Children who had saved lives for example?  Never the less, it was an experience that I will never forget and still proudly have my award, though to me, it does not represent bravery,  but a sign of my strength. I got through that awful time that again I hope to share with you as so many things went on that will take too long for a blog.

I was to present flowers to Mrs Wilson, the Prime Minister’s wife; we all stood in a line, waiting to greet her. I will never forget her, she was so beautiful, with the most amazing eyes that sparkled as she bent down to talk with me. Oh I wish I could have met with her again later on in life?  I met with some wonderful people and had lunch with them.

Television characters, like Michael Crawford, who played the part of Frank Spencer,  a real fun  character from the sitcom Some Mothers do av  Em, who since has gone  on to sing and lead in West end productions. I met with lots of T.V personalities and the singer and comedian Harry secombe, was the hit of the day with the children.

I was given a beautiful glass block with a real gold seagull and gold writing explaining what the award was for, as well as a scroll and some beautiful books for children.  It was a wonderful day that I will always treasure, not because of bravery, but sense of strength and my Mum should have received the bravery award, because what she had to put up with was traumatic and excruciatingly heart rendering!

What does the word brave mean to you? To me it is something done selflessly for others and that was what my Mum did in her entire life. Week after  week, sending countless letters out to thousands who wrote to her with hope that they too could be helped to see. X

THE TEEN WITH THE MOUSTACHE

My teen went to his party. Dressed as a Mexican. He took his clothes in his bag, and off he went. He came back minus his moustache and cigar. He said the cigar was paper and the moustache was in the bin as he removed it and would not stick again.

More like he couldn’t kiss with it on?

He said it  did not hurt taking it off, but he was very sticky around the lip airier.

He was due in at quarter past the pumpkin hour but did not come in till quarter to one. He of course walked a girl home. He stood in shock and announced to the girl that there  was a real scary sight?  She looked in the direction of his horror and asked what was scary?

He said, look? Look at that woman, just staring at us through the window? “Oh how freaky?” He remarked.

She replied

“Oh! Her, that’s my Mum!”

I think that was a teen “Oopsy!” Moment.

Well anyway, eh walked in the house saying he needed to  clean himself up?

I thought too much information? He replied when he saw the shock on my face

“Mum! I fell in the mud?

Hmm.

Anyway safe and sound and not drunk but again, loads of drink there no food and the environment?

Well it was in the garden. It had a tent where there were lights that my Son got an electric shock  from.

In the house my teens words,

There were no carpets or (Floorboards?) I’m sure he has that word wrong?

I mean I have been known to get down with the kids in the mosh pit, hahahahaha. But no floor  boards?

He said there was a lot of loud music and his friend a girl, one who has eyes for him  but not him for her, spend the night with her head in a bucket, being sick. Sitting on the stairs of the house.

The stairs with no carpets?

God, where has my Son been to?

I must go to bed now as it is silly hour.

I will write my blog I promised in the blog below this one tomorrow/today I should now say.

Take care cause I care.
THE TEEN WITH THE MOUSTACHE

13th Birthday

I had been dealt with a hard couple of years. My poor Dad had an almost fatal accident down the pit when I was eleven and then I had to leave my school and friends, including my now Hub. I started a horrible boarding school, one where I wait for every day to be reported on the television, as one of those places where by things went on that shouldn’t have? Nothing as yet has been reported, but lots still in my mind about the place.

I had been four times to Russia  for eye treatment in those two years, nine times all together,  and  though my eyes were improving, the pain of going was catching up with me.

Birthdays did not mean anything to me really, I was either at boarding school, or hospital abroad or London hospital.

But this was my thirteenth, and for once it would be a lovely day, thanks to Tyne Tees. Our local news team.

I guess it sounds simple these days, but I was picked up in a car unlike my  Dads, so it was not stuck together like a jigsaw puzzle, and did not rattle as we drove down the road.

The presenter took us with camera men to a very posh hotel. We had a lovely meal, though I think my first signs of being a vegetarian, were showing back then, as a whole hog was wheeled on a trolley, next to our table. Oh the poor pig, had its head on? With an apple in its mouth? What’s all that about? Answers on a postcard, please, because that to me makes no sense?

The carpet was plush and the table cloths were so beautiful.

Five waiters were at our table and everyone whispered.

All, except my  Mum and Dad?

My Mum thought she was Mrs Bouquet, my Dad for sure was Richard?

Well not as refined as Richard.

For my bloggets who are living in a world where by the television program with Mrs Bouquet has not reached yet, she was a real lady, well, she thought she was, her Husband was for sure a sweet man who would do anything for anyone.

Mrs  Bouquet never knew when people were laughing at  her as she was so right, it made her so wrong?

My Mum had a pounding voice, oh my word, she could not be discrete?

My Dad  was as far out of his comfort zone as one could be. I had some experience as travelled a lot mixing with all kinds of backgrounds, so was well behaved and my Mum was improving with age, but was so loud?

Well, it all kicked off, when my Dad shouted across the restaurant,

“Son, is there any more pudding?” My Mum turned in her chair and glared at him, saying in a huge voice,

“Ray. But only in a Ray that my Mum could do. Like a buzz sore.

Well it did not stop there. My Dad had a captured audience. Well the row began, between my Mum and my Mum, hahahaaha. As a teen myself, I felt so embarrassed, my teen has nothing to worry about compared to me?

I must tell you the story some time about my Mum in the shop and my Dad at M I 5.

Anyway, after I recoiled in my velvet like chair, I recovered with the delightful dessert.

We left the restaurant with the press outside waiting for pictures and the T.V crew still laughing from the incident with my parents. I was then taken to the studios to do an interview.

The reason why this birthday was to them and us special, was because that was the age that the medics said I would be blind.

Live on our ITV,  I was interviewed about my day and Russia and all that stuff, then in walked my  hero of the time. A dish called Andy Craig. He was a presenter of the time and I was soooooooo fixed by him.  He was a real crush.

The cameras were still rolling and I was aware that it was going out live. He had a birthday cake for me and all the crew sang happy birthday.

He put the cake in front of me on a coffee table and went behind me, picked up a huge bunch of flowers and came to kiss my cheek.

I did not want to wash for a year. OMG?

It was so lovely, a wonderful day and although at the time I was really made to cringe over my parents, it is that and those stories that make us love our parents more and make us the people we are now, hence me being a bit of a fruit loop!

My next blog is my award and I hope you enjoy?

Have a blessed  Saturday my friends and know you are all here for a reason. x

OVER TO YOU

OVER TO YOU!

Well I have just had a call from Hub; he is going to write a blog for you about his flight yesterday, apparently, it was so funny.

My teen is Hoovering upstairs for some pocket money. Three bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room that is the size of a cupboard. The study is a no go airier. Hubs room and strict instructions to keep out. I am not sure how much longer I can put up with not going in there, you would think he was Frankenstein, with his experiments going on  in there?  There are boxes in there from our move.

I bet none of the rugs get lifted, or corners get done, but, I hate Hoovering especially upstairs, as everything goes up there. I used to spend time with a sharp instrument and civ through the bag, recovering whatever was the unfortunate item I had sucked up, not now, whatever goes up there stays up there.

I had a great sleep thank Goodness.

So still wondering what to write my next blog about? One of three subjects. My 13th birthday party, the press treat me to, my Christmas party they gave me with Santa being a famous footballer or my Child of courage award? I had years of rubbish from the press, but they did do a handful of lovely things for me, or for their Headlines?

They used to tell my Mum the only reason they were fixated by me was because I was a pretty little girl, not because they were interested in my need to find sight?

Let me know which story you would like?
Six minutes for the domestic teen, still going? All for £2.  He tells me that his friends get £20 for
doing jobs, but that gives them more money to buy things they shouldn’t buy?

RESPECT TO THE ELEPHANT

I adore Elephants. I have loads in my house, no not the real deal, but ornaments. There is something so gracious and so very mystical about elephants! They have such sad souls that have suffered more than we have learned about so far in our limited knowledge of exactly how the Universe began! My American Dad, sent me this article, I hope you find it of interest? Remember when Elephants die, all the other elephants, take their turn to go to the dead animal and lower their heads to bow. They cry so painfully too, it’s heart breaking. Read on it’s not a sad one, I promise.
Lawrence Anthony, a legend in South Africa and author of 3 books including the bestseller The Elephant Whisperer, bravely rescued wildlife and
Rehabilitated elephants all over the globe from human atrocities, including the courageous rescue of Baghdad Zoo animals during US invasion in 2003.
On March 7, 2012 Lawrence Anthony died.
He is remembered and missed by his wife, 2 sons, 2 grandsons and numerous elephants.
Two days after his passing, the wild elephants showed up at his home led by two large matriarchs.
Separate wild herds arrived in droves to say goodbye to their beloved man-friend.
A total of 31 elephants had patiently walked over 12 miles to get to his South African House.
Witnessing this spectacle, humans were obviously in awe not only because of the supreme intelligence and precise timing that these elephants sensed about Lawrence 's
passing, but also because of the profound memory and emotion the beloved animals evoked in such an organized way:
Walking slowly - for days - Making their way in a solemn one-by-one queue from their habitat to his house.
So, how after Anthony’s death, did the reserve’s elephants — grazing miles away in distant parts of the park — know? “A good man died suddenly,” says Rabbi Leila Gal Berner, Ph.D., “and from miles and miles away, two herds of elephants, sensing that they had lost a beloved human friend, moved in a solemn, almost ‘funereal’ procession to make a call on the bereaved family at the deceased man’s home.”
“If there ever were a time, when we can truly sense the wondrous ‘interconnectedness of all beings,’ it is when we reflect on the elephants of Thula Thula. A man’s heart’s stops, and hundreds of elephants’ hearts are grieving. This man’s oh-so-abundantly loving heart offered healing to these elephants, and now, they came to pay loving homage to their friend.”
Lawrence's wife, Francoise, was especially touched, knowing that the elephants had not been to his house prior to that day for well over 3 years!
But yet they knew where they were going.
The elephants obviously wanted to pay their deep respects, honoring their friend who'd saved their lives - so much respect that they stayed for 2 days 2 nights without eating anything.
Then one morning, they left, making their long journey back

HOW DID THEY KNOW? SOMETHING IN THE UNIVERSE THAT IS MUCH GREATER AND DEEPER THAN HUMAN INTELLIGENCE. THE ELEPHANTS' JOURNEY WAS TO PAY RESPECT, BUT HOW DID THEY KNOW?

FI'S FRIDAY DIARY

Well I am a happy bunny this morning. I had my personal councillor my American mum on the phone, and I know my Hub is ok, his kindle by the way, was left at his hotel? I had a nice night with my friends from church and we tweaked the Nativity. We had some port and I have just finished talking to my beautiful friend on FB, and I am soooooo tipsy? I have only had half a glass? “What do you mean, the glass was a pint? Hahahahaha.

I am sitting here and the rain is falling against my window pain. It sounds so lovely and I thank God that we have such a small amount of rain, compared to the poor U.S. It’s crazy, parts of the world are dying with no water and we all have too much?

There is nothing quite as romantic as rain in small doses? I have my lamp on and an orange candle, with spices. It smells lovely.

I don’t know what I would have done without my friend on FB this past week?  I have also read on Facebook, that my dear little friend from school has her Son getting married on Saturday. Gosh, we were little girls, running and doing activities in Brownies just a few years ago? Well that is what it seems like?

Now she has a grown up Son about to marry, she is even a Granma? I must say at this point, she was leaving school, as I was starting? Hahahahahaha. I am only thirty one really?

My dogs are lying next to me, yawning. I don’t know how they dare, that is all they do is sleep?

Teen off to his fancy dress later on today. God help me?

Oh he will look so funny? He is going as a Mexican. He has a big sombrero and a poncho and a huge cigar that has smoke coming from it, oh, and a moustache. He asked me today, should he wear his hoodie under it? I said, well, that will look lovely with the hood sticking out of the poncho?

The party is in the back garden of the girl’s house? What if it’s raining? Ok, I’m old. Well, thirty one?

When my Hub is in Thailand, I will write a children’s book. My American Mum, who is lovingly called Yam, wants me to do this, so for her I will.

Well, nothing from the horrid x so far, but the year is still young, but my Teen has not heard anything from him in a week either, so my dear friend, who was doing a ritual for him to fall down a large hole, may have worked? I did not say that? Sorry.

Well, my teen went to post a parcel abroad today we do not have a post office, just a shop that posts things at the back. Teen’s words.

I asked teen to ask how long it would take to post the tiny parcel. He said he would not, as he would not understand the answer?

On his return, I asked him if he got the receipt. He said yes, he thinks that is what the man in the shop said?

I have never been to this shop? I am not sure how they order anything for the place?

Laters blog my brave bloggets? What will it be about?

Let me think?

I feel like I have not wrote you one of my  essays for a while, but it is Friday, and Friday should be fun day, so I will sleep on it and let you know?

With love. FiXXXXXX
