NONONO DON'T SEND IT BY FIONA CUMMINGS

A beautiful Blogget said to me yesterday, I remind him of Erma Bombeck. Well, is this good or bad? I have also been told I sometimes write like Charles Dickens. That’s easy, I know who that is, but this lady? So, I looked her up and learned of some quotes she has said and written, one rang a bell, a couple of years ago another Blogget told me about this lady too and said my writing reminds them of her. I looked her up then but shame on me forgot her name, only today when I was reminded of her did I think back and recognise these quotes that I wrote down two years ago when I first learned of her name. Here are her quotes and to follow is another very interesting story about my past coming back at me.

Never go to a Doctor’s office whose plants have died.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope I would have not a single bit of talent left and could say. I used everything you gave me

Dreams have only one owner at a time. That’s why dreamers are lonely.

My favourite of all. “Don’t confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Hellen Keller is the other.

So, my Son came home from work. He brought his Dad some goodies to eat. Hub sat there with a huge bag of food he likes. We won’t talk of the calories. We also won’t talk about not going into the gym, garage tonight either as our pathetic attempt yesterday only lasted 15 minutes. But hey, build it up, right? Hmm. It would be a good idea if we could do at least two nights in a row, smile. Anyway, wait for this quinky dinky story.

I moved from a house where my Son grew up for the first eight years of his life. We were the only people to have sold our house in that street that year. My neighbour came to see me and said she almost had a fit when she looked out of her bedroom window knowing the new neighbours had moved into our house, but not knowing anything about them, she was shocked to see the two of them, man and woman, laying flowers at a stone and on the stone said rest in peace, Fiona….

Spooky number one.

She later learned no, they hadn’t buried me, I was alive and semi well. But wait for this one. The man was previously married She sadly died of cancer. She was called Fiona, a Scottish name. Bear with, it’s relevant. Honest. After the wife died, her (Sister) got close to her Brother in law. (Sister who died Husband)

They ended up marrying. And bought my house. All quite okay so far, right? Now, spooky number two.

A lady came into my Sons place of work yesterday and recognised his Geordie accent. She asked him where he was from. He told her, turns out, she, moved into our street the same year we moved out, and she is Scottish. Now I’m not Scottish but my name is. Was her sister Scottish, her Sister Fiona? Was it the same people who bought our house? If so, now we both live over an hour and a half away. So, moving to the same area how weird is that?  Talk about a small world! Same as the writer above, how someone else said I write like her two years ago and yesterday another person thought the same.

Many years ago, I did a course at college and we spoke much about the mind and how it works but one thing the tutor said to us was we are all linked with an invisible bit of thread. I think this is how we get that feeling of Déjà vu

Today it’s pouring with rain. I have spent a lovely time talking with my friend. He’s a fantastic guy and gives me peace in my heart.

I’m going to attempt a chicken dish today. Not sure what I, am going to have. I did a really stupid thing this week. I forgot to buy vegetables. How can I do that? I did buy some pea pods. Yummy, I love them, but Hub and I just eat them from the pod, I don’t cook them. I have mushrooms and onions, garlic and peppers to go in the chicken dish today and some spices. I will do noodles with them. But no cabbage this week or carrots, how did I do that?

Last night flew by, Hub was an hour later in from work and Shamrock came so the night went so fast. She is taking her Mum shopping today. That’s a nice thing for her to do. I think she does it a lot.

I’m super excited for my Son to go to this crazy 13-mile race. Afterwards he is going out with his pals for a curry and a drink. It’s been too long since he has had a day with the lads. Sham was going, but now she is working, so I’m glad he is with the lads only, she would have been bored too, as she wouldn’t be allowed to go around. Gosh she has put in the hours at work this week. But today she is off.

So, the gentle rain is making rhythmic beats on my window. The gardens are smelling lovely. There is nothing as beautiful as rain on grass. Our street has been so quiet all week I am wondering if they are on holiday? But why, as none of them have children, so why would they pick a holiday in the most expensive time?  Normally the sounds of them all doing their gardens is so loud and they chat away to each other. We live in a very friendly avenue of all sorts.

My excitement today is waiting in for a bin. Haha. Oh, the life I lead is no one’s business. Apart from you all.

And thank you all, our blog page has reached over 200,10,000 views now.

The sweet lady from America my lovely friend and our Blogget and I were writing to each other last night. We were talking about texts we have sent using audio. Oh my, we between us have sent some very interesting messages. She told me a funny one about her texting her daughter. She spoke into the phone and pressed send. Only to learn rather than saying

“We are going to a neighbor to have aperitifs.””

She had written.

“We are going to the neighbors to get a pair of teeth.”” I can only imagine what her daughter thought at the time.

I told her I sent my friend a text talking about Neil the joiner. She wrote back and asked me. Fiona, is that really his surname? Wondering what she was talking about, I looked at my text I had audio messaged to her. It in fact read.

“Neil Vagina.””

I sent my Son a text using audio again and I wanted to say. Hello Sweetheart. He wrote back asking me. Mum, why did you call me that? I looked at what my iPhone thought I had said.

Hello retard.

I guess the lesson is to always read what you have said even written especially if you use prodictive texts.

I hope I have put a smile upon your chops today. () Take care cos I care. X

A QUICK ONE BEFORE BED BY FIONA CUMMINGS

I’m so hungry. And bored. Also, lazy. I should be working but really? Why? I don’t get paid. Hmm. But I do have a beautiful roof above my head. My Husband is working late today, he is doing interviews so I have a spare hour smile. And, I have made dinner and tidied our bedroom as well as put the shopping away, gosh, that is a task in itself. Still loving our fridge with the three fresh drawers. But today I did think I had broken it. My door of the fridge wouldn’t close. Okay, so something needs pushing backwards? No, not that shelf or that one and everything on that shelf is already back, so what is it? One of the drawers? No, oh, hang on. Well, I learned today that there are three drawers I knew that bit, but under each draw, there is a shelf. One of them was sticking out. Very nice, firstly why are there shelves under the drawers? Secondly, why won’t the blooming thing go back? Thirdly, have I just broken our new expensive fridge? Fourthly, how do we claim on this as guarantee shmarentee. Where did we put that bit of paper? This is why I like to shop from John Lewis. Because if anything goes wrong they are so easy and helpful to rectify it. Only, their shops now are dreadful they are huge with nothing in. Loads of things over the past two years I have called up about and asked if they are in store to which I was told no. We don’t stock that. From coffee machines to beds to shelves. There has been loads of complaints because people now are expected to buy sofas and beds on line. Well, what if they come and they are as hard as a park bench?

Eventually, I was able to put the shelve where it should be. I will tell you a funny story about my fridge, yep, I can find a funny thing about a fridge, I’m kind of sad like that. So, when we are out with our dogs, we blow the whistle, only when they are on free run of course, off the leash. Three blows to the whistle they come running. Well, the Little Fella does, Waggs will if there are no other distractions, otherwise she waves her paw as if to say. **** () () Mummy.

Why are they meant to come back when they hear the whistle? From a puppy when getting fed, they get the whistle they then know it’s feeding time. So, off the leash, running free, hear the sound of three whistles and they run to get a treat. So, we give them one and off they go again, on the next call, we grab the leash and capture them. Smile. Waggs watches from a distance to see if LF has been caught then runs. Biscuit or not. My last guide dog was a belly on legs. She was slim. Ish. But food for her was her life, so she was so obedient. Well when my fridge door has been open some silly amount of time like six seconds. It goes beep beep beep. And it sounds just like their whistle. So, for weeks when my fridge was open my dogs would run like mad thinking they were going to have something delicious. Hahaha. Bless them, now, LF hears the sound and half goes to run to me then stops.

I’m dying to go to a clairvoyant. I need to know something about my future. Or is that a fortune teller? I know there are loads of sharks out there, but there are some good ones. My friend gave me a number of one but I don’t want spooky cookies here so means going to friend’s houses. They don’t want spooky cookies either and as for going to her house? Great, but it’s almost an hour away. Shame too as she is great.

It’s my friend’s birthday soon.  A gift came for them today. Oh, my goodness. How, on earth will we get that to their house? On the bus? I don’t think so. It weighs a ton and it was expensive so if I were to send that through the mail it would cost even more. So, what to do? I never thought it would be so heavy. I think we have done an oopsie.

One of my lovely Bloggets and my friend Carrie has asked me a few times but today got around to answering. She wants to know, what are crisps? So, if she doesn’t know then you may not. They are potatoes fries? Well, is that correct even? I mean, are they not chips? Oh confused, is my middle name. Basically, they are in a bag. They are sliced potatoes with flavouring on and they are cold not what you eat hot with food. They are a snack. I’m not sure if I am making my description worse or better. Whatever, they are blooming yummy.

I bought dry herbs today. I have just put them in the new jars on a chrome rack I bought. Now, remembering which herbs is that? Haha. Well, there is nothing that won’t go. And most of them I can tell by the smell. I told you about my Son cooking? He made salt and pepper chicken. He asked how do you make it Mum. Me, well, cook your chicken and put salt and pepper on it Son. That’s my kind of cooking. He replied no Mum. Sham makes it and you use all sorts. I said well, look up the recipe? He did. Basically, you cook your chicken and add salt and pepper. Smile. But you fry peppers onions and garlic too. He made it with new potatoes with their skins on. He put the potatoes in the oven after boiling them to crisp them up. He then puts it all in Tupper wear boxes and eats it over some days. He freezes his boxes. I can’t imagine what they will taste like after coming out of the freezer, he microwaves them. I hope he won’t get poisoned. He cooks a lot of broccoli to and asparagus. The house smelled so good. It was like a Chinese restaurant, but this morning after the delicious smells, came the one smell that no one wants to smell. Garlic. My nice newly cleaned dishwasher stunk too. As I emptied it I found the garlic crusher he was using.

Full of garlic.

 Nice one Son.

Oh only a few days to go before he is doing that scary race.

13 miles. He said he was going to grab the smallest person to have on his back. *Cleaning one’s ears out* oh, yes, I remembered, he has to have someone on his back for a mile. All of his friends are big chunky lads, so a skinny stranger, watch out. No one will want to carry him, Boy Wonder, is almost 15 stone. 210 lbs.

13 miles is, 20.9klm

Oh, I hope he will be OK. I hope he has a fantastic day. He is at work the next day early. I think he is on a 6 a.m. opening.

A blast from my past came too close to me yesterday. I never want to see her again. Someone who made my childhood worthwhile, but all along she was fake. My Mum in heaven will be so disappointed by her. I have no contact with family now, as in cousins, and all of my aunts and uncles are dead. Well, as far as I am concerned.

A Blogget asked the other day about my Brother in law who moved to Australia? My Blogget is from there so was wondering how he was getting on. Remember the heart ache when he left, gosh, all three of us were so very sad. Australia is too far away. Well, he went and absolutely is loving life out there. He is living with a lovely man we love and both have found happiness down under. Oh, heck, did that come out as I meant it to? Well, you know, down under, as in Australia?  So, my Husband has his one brother left in the UK. Sadly, we only see him about once a year but we are just unsociable and don’t go far and sadly he lives some distance.

All of my friends have family around them. For us, we are us three so I only hope my Son marries a lovely lady and they have some Grandchildren for us. I so badly miss my parents. I was too young to loss them. I was 30. No matter how old you are, you always want, need your parents, though me and my Mum used to fight like cat and dog. Not sure which one was the cat and which one of us was the dog! We fought but I had such love for her. The pain when I thought of her as a child stays in my heart, throat and stomach even now. Six years old was far too young to be removed from my parents. Boarding school has a lot to answer for. As for my poor Husband, he was three.  It’s so cruel. It totally screws us up for life. Thank God, it’s different now for those who have sight issues.

I have my Brother who is a work aholic funny isn’t it, as is my bro in law and Hub, even to some degree, BW. He puts in the hours for sure, how long he will stay at this job? Not sure as his boss who he really liked has moved as has all of his friends who worked there. He is surrounded by girls now. And? You ask? Well, there is Shamrock.

Hub just been on the phone and he sounds shattered though pleased to be on his way home after a long day and some interviews. I wouldn’t really like to decide who gets jobs as I did a couple of weeks ago and I felt too bad doing it. But Hub is used to it. He is so smart I have nothing but admiration for him and total respect to the person who gave him his, job. It’s too difficult for blind people to find work even these days. Even if we have qualifications and degrees and in my Husbands case, a Master’s in business.

We have a fun night planned. So, more tomorrow, though I’m feeling a poem coming on so perhaps that before bed. X

DIARY OF EVERYTHING BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Well Bloggets you know I like to tell you about groups I’m asked to join? Today’s is, wait for it?

Adenomyosis Warriors and advocates.

I didn’t join.

It’s actually cold today. It’s going to rain too. Can’t complain it’s been beautiful for weeks.

I received an email from a Blogget asking some questions. I will try to answer them as best as possible. Just to say they wanted me to write a blog on these subjects, so it wasn’t a private email as such.

Q. If you were born sighted, what would you have been doing now?

No one can say as I don’t know what my life would have brought. One would hope that teaching would have been my occupation. I for sure would be slim. I guess I would have been married to the same Husband and not met my now Husband as we met at a school for the blind, though I wasn’t blind at the time.  My first Husband wouldn’t have been the one I was married to in this world. I think I married too young if I had sight, I would have been in different circles.

Q. what will be the first thing you do if there is treatment in the future to give you sight?

Oh, I would fall to my knees and thank God. Then run, run free. Not chained to my dog or a white cane or an arm for guidance. Then I would shop. I would look at the colours around me. To buy something I knew what it looked like and be able to see myself in the mirror. That’s a scary thought.

Learn to drive and not be able to stop looking at my Sons face and my Husband. Just staring at them. Seeing what I have missed over the years. Try to look at photographs of my Son growing up, all I missed visually, then going on holidays. Then getting a full-time job that paid me and respected me as a person for the first time.

I would also end up visiting people who for whatever reason can’t get out of the house. And I would love to go to a place in either India or Africa to look after elephants for a few months. I would hand write. It’s been almost 20 years since I have been able to do that and see what I was writing. I would just look at everything like birds and appreciate life.

Q. If you could see, what would the downsides be?

Oh my, are there any? Some would say seeing destruction caused by man. Angry mean faces. Dirty streets. Children on our news who are all bone. But the good would by far out way the bad.

I would say the majority of the time, I am sceptical to ever seeing. Everything is so very slow with regards research. It makes me very very sad. But not much has moved on for ten years ago. I do then believe just one day, there will be a breakthrough and it will have nothing to do with what is being researched now. But my days of those thoughts sadly are rare.

Another funny question

Q. if you could wear only one colour for the rest of your life, what colour would it be?

Dark green. I don’t think I have anything apart from a pair of jeans that no longer fit me that is dark green but it’s a colour I absolutely love.

My shopping groceries came today. Gosh, I just am so grateful to Tap Tap See on my iPhone. Thank the inventers. I was able to identify three objects today that I no way had a clue what they were. My fridge is bursting and there is the most revolting thing for Hubs dinner tonight, I buy that already made so, what is it? Ready for the Urrrr’rrrr’rr’rrrrghgh sound? Liver. Oh my. How can anyone eat gross bits of an animal? He loves it though so how can I deprive. There are things I will not cook and won’t buy for him that is venison. Oh, or duck.

Wow my friend from India, who is on holiday in Thailand now has just sent me a voice message via Facebook. I never knew it was possible, I’m always last to know but the sound was so clear, even more so than my phone call I have just made to someone in the UK.

Talking of Facebook, I have just had a clear out. There are still people on there I wish weren’t, but so be it for now. My Husband hates it and says it is more negative than positive, but I know some really really lovely people on there who I know we will be friends forever. And that is a long time. I deleted eleven requests today that have been there a while, just because I don’t want to except people to make up numbers to say hey, look how popular I am? Smile. Out of three hundred people I think I’m in regular contact with about fifty odd of them. My policy now is as soon as I see someone being nasty, I am going to delete them. I have some friend from school like our Blogget Jud, who is a new fb pal and she is so lovely. She interacts and is fun. That is what it should be about, don’t get me wrong I love a good debate, but when it comes to name calling, no need.  Yesterday there was a lady who was sharp to another fb pal of mine and though I happened to agree with her, I didn’t like the way she spoke to the other person. There was no need and showed a lack of intelligence as she obviously couldn’t find the words to use to get her point across without being rude.

Only a week to go before Hub and I are off to our besties for the day. I can’t wait. They are our family. I’m not into a huge amount of people as I am probably the most boring person. Friends say I am the light in the room and the most joyful at an event, but, only because there are at most, at each   gathering, eight. Any more than that, I’m gone. An yet I can stand up in front of a hundred people and give a talk. I can do a live interview on TV. But put me in an environment where by I have to be a certain kind of person, only to me, as I expect too much from myself, I just can’t deal with it. Unless it’s in a professional situation, I’m no good.

Okay, back to the drawing board and back to work. I’m going to do all of our pictures around the house. Yep, this blind lass has loads of pictures and paintings around the place. Why, I can’t see? Yep, true, and?  I brush my hair too and I can’t see what it looks like. I put make up on when I go out, I can’t see or feel it, so I like my house to be homely and when we are decorating and our paintings and pictures are not hung up, the house to me feels so cold. My paintings include the beautiful huge black and white tiger with beautiful light blue eyes she is a real tiger in one of our wildlife parks in the UK. The frame is really thick polished black smoothed shiny wood we bought it on our cruise years ago. Then there are my angels my FaceBook friend painted for me. I have local pictures/paintings of castles where I used to live and a print of a lady dancing on a piano reaching to the stars but the stars are tiny musical notes. The print is of a painting my friend did some years ago. I also have pictures of our dogs thanks to two friends. One of my friends Arty, got a picture on her camera of our darling three dogs when Wagga was first with us, my then, new guide dog, and my old retired GD Black Beauty, AKA Hannah and our sweet beautiful Long Chops, AKA Suki. That photograph I will treasure always. My first guide dog, my new one and the wonder dog who gave us a life we never had before and doubt will ever have again. Suki was so very special. Gosh, it broke our heart when she died. It was only a year almost to the day when we lost my Hannah, who died at twelve. The pain is immense.

Right now, I doubt I will get another guide dog. I know it will mean I am more of a prisoner, but I think the future perhaps will be more staying away from home to be trained as every dog you have to retrain. I don’t want to be away from home for two weeks.

Hub is talking about moving house again. Again? He wants to move to the countryside. I don’t know if I can take another move. Especially when we have our lovely new kitchen. It’s the first kitchen I have ever totally loved and it is so easy. But for our health, I think a move will be on the horizon.

My Son has just received his visa for his holiday so he is excited. He is now shopping for healthy food for his lunches. He is so enjoying his cooking. It’s funny, as he is shouting, Mum, how do you do this, and that. But I love teaching him as he will be a great cook in the future, as ever since a child of ten, his cooking at school was amazing. He is one of those people who can cook a simple potato and it tastes better than anyone else’s. So, I’m not cleaning my kitchen for the day until he has finished. I shall go and iron. It’s never ending. I have just cleaned out my robe looking for a machine that was all the time in the corner of our bedroom. My Son walked in with a cup of tea for me. I was boiling and surrounded by empty bags, boxes and rubbish as well as bags of shoes and clothes that had fallen on the floor of my wardrobe. Both doors of my robe open I was trapped as he handed me the cup. He then laughed and asked me, Mum, how are you going to get out of there? Good question I thought, especially as I now have a cup of tea in my spare hand.  He asked what I was looking for, I told him, he said, oh, there it is, on the floor. Oh, not in my robe then? Never mind, my robe is cleaner.

I have to shop on Amazon as we bought a very very expensive rubbish bin and last night it broke. Three years old over £100 so now I shall buy a cheap one

And some sad news yesterday came in about little Charlie the eleven-month-old baby who is so disabled and our Doctors want to end his life as they say he is beyond help. The parents wanted to take him to America for treatment but after months of battling with the courts, the parents have decided to end his life. Bless their hearts.

Love to you all peace and may all your dreams come true.

DIARY OF IF ONLY BY FIONA CUMMINGS

It’s been a funny old day for weather. It rained so hard today, this morning, it was as if being at the beach on a stormy day, with the teal water lashing against the grey rocks! This afternoon, I have had to come in as it’s so hot I’m burning.

Our dogs have been for a free run and they loved it. My Son has been at work, sadly he was meant to go out with his friends tonight, but he has chosen once again to see his beloved Shamrock.

I have been in the garden cutting or is it called pruning, smile, God help our shrubs and roses now. Hub has been fighting with the hose. Or, watering the plants.

I have made my simple leek pie for dinner. Sounds gross but is really scrumptious. I have told you about it before. Cook chopped leeks in butter. Put in a oven dish. Then pour over two cans of baked beans in tomato sauce. Then add cheese. Then loads of buttery mash potatoes with grated cheese and today I fried an onion after the leeks and mixed that in with the mash. Then after seasoning with salt and pepper, put it in the oven for 35 minutes. I make loads and oddly, it’s always better the next day.

We went to our friend’s house last night. It shocks me just how many people drink so much alcohol. I was saying that if the Government made it so buying it for home went up by 50% and to buy out and about, it increased by 40% and brought the cost of activities and swimming pools, gym membership and other things that young people could perhaps get into such as ten pin bowling and there were classes to do more art and woodwork, pottery and perhaps cookery classes then in the long run,, it would save our country thousands if not millions because surely there would be no such thing as diabetes because there would be fewer people overweight and especially if they increased a pack of cigarettes by 50%? Also, it’s a fact that exercise helps to lessen depression.

Whilst I was putting the world right in my opinion, I said it’s awful for parents who work to find childcare in the summer holidays too. I mean between 6 and 7 weeks of holiday for our kids in the summer can be a nightmare. What happens is, when our kids get to about 11, parents leave them thinking they are safe in the house. My Son always had me at home and the amount of his friends who used to joke saying their Mum thought they were at home, but in fact they had been at my house and many other places where the parents were totally oblivious to. They just made sure they were home before their parents came home. more kids bored getting into trouble. So, in the 6-week holiday, keep the schools open. Get checked volunteers to come in or even payed professionals who charges the parents so much per day, and it would be much less than childcare, because there were a lot of children. Academies to learn to play football, cricket, tennis, arts and crafts and so on. So, school would be fun for the summer, even things like horse riding or swimming as there are schools with pools. Most children go to schools not far from where they live and a lot of them over nine, walk there on their own. So, no stress for parents having to even find transport. Some teachers would be paid to supervise. So, the kids would get hooked into sports or other hobbies and it would continue after school when they were much older. It would be like a way of life. Rather than the drink culture that is an epidemic in our country right now and has been for years. And for those reading this who are saying oh no to the increase of alcohol, well, why are you saying this? Is it because you can’t think of a weekend or even night, without your alcohol? If so, well, your health will suffer in the future, do you really want this for your children? What would you rather say to your colleagues or friends, oh, my Son is out drinking, or, he is playing cricket. My daughter couldn’t get out of bed on Sunday, she was hungover, or, my daughter spent the weekend cooking with her friends and then had a great time comparing one an others dishes, or our kids went camping at the weekend and took guitars and ball games.

Hub and I went to our local shop to buy mushrooms. Strawberry’s, and bread. What did we come back with? Salmon steaks and crisps. Yep, the dreaded C word.  Tomorrow though I’m going to stop eating bread again and then I will follow by crisps. We were saying we would love to go swimming, but for those who can’t see it’s so hard. We are always afraid to bump into anyone, mind you, the way I swim, they won’t get hurt, I’m like a log battling against the tide, I seem to almost kill myself heart pumping as if I have ran a marathon and I get nowhere. My friend JB is as I always say, amazing, she goes at sixish in the morning before people get there, but she lives next to the pool, we are far from the one I want to go to, there is a one near us but again it would require a taxi and before seven in the morning the taxi would be about £12 there and back. Then it’s at least £10 to swim, see what I mean? But we can go out and buy bottles of beer and a bottle of wine and come back with change of that same amount.

Right I shall go for now the start of the week begins here and I hope yours is a good one. At least better than last weeks, but not as good as next week. Xx

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Today we have had views from Bangladesh, Brazil, Sweden, Germany, South Africa, Canada, Australia, UK, US and The Netherlands. I’m sure your country has looked too, but as I keep saying, I can only see the top ten countries.

Just had dinner. It was delicious. I made pulled pork for the family, to be honest, by the time I sort out the meat being a vegetarian, every kind of meat looks blooming pulled. I hate touching it but it has to be done sadly. There isn’t a chance I can get my Son to be a vegetarian again, though I am sure if Shamrock became one, he would follow, just there is no way she will ever give up meat. As for Hub, he could, but he would complain a lot. My ex was easy he was never a fan of meat, I loved it, but I love animals more. My Son saved the animals until he was thirteen then he started to eat it sadly.

I made new potatoes they were really lovely, green cabbage, butter beans and carrots with Yorkshire puddings and onion gravy.

My garden fairy has been today and put more plants into my basket. It smells lovely. I had a cow bell out there and sadly it’s gone. A shame really because it was bought on holiday and I loved it. Where it’s gone, is a mystery. I noticed it a few weeks ago. Or I should say I didn’t notice it.

I had a beautiful wind chime in my back garden. He was a Peacock. Well only half of him hangs now. It looks rather bad, I should cut it down, but it’s mangled in the roses that have sadly died this year. They were what my Mother in law gave us at our first house and they have survived eight years and moves, but this year are very sad looking.

It’s forecast to rain this weekend. But going to be warm. All of my wedding poems have been sent off and I hope they have a wonderful wedding and are madly in love forever. I did tell you years ago, I wrote a poem for a guy from him to his wife to be and some years later he sent me an email. I recognised his name as it was very unusual. I checked my files and sadly, yes, it was the same man. He was asking me to write a poem to his wife for their divorce haha. Bless. He was heartbroken. Tried to get her back. No pressure Fifi. Well it was too late for that but he wrote to me again after that to ask for another poem. This time it was for his second wedding, again his name was familiar but today I was approached to write a poem and until I called the person, I hadn’t recognised that I wrote for him two years ago. It’s a happy outcome for him though I am pleased to say.

It’s almost eight in the evening and the traffic here is dreadful. So loud. It’s like being in Deli. My Son has another hour to go at work. My kitchen looks like a murder scene so I better go and fix it as I hate it being messy.

Before I go, some fun for Friday.

What would you pick, you can only have one of these attributes?

Being very very attractive

Being a genius

Or famous for doing something great?  For me, I guess doing something great.

If you could change one thing about you, what would it be? For me, weight.

What do you think the right age is to marry? Personally, over 21 for sure.

What would you do if you were invisible for a day? Hahahah. Gosh, that’s difficult, I would not be seen, but to get anywhere, my guide dog and stick would be seen, wouldn’t it?

If you could time travel, where would you go? Me, heaven, is that included? Oh, I love that subject. My friend is very religious and she says she cannot wait to meet Jesus. My Husband thinks that is a scary view, because what if it’s all not true? But she totally believes it is. We were talking about it the other day. I hope there is such a place, but, what will it look like?

Would you rather live for a week in the past or the future? Me, hmm. Depends how much in the future, as if I could see no question, it would be the past, but what if it’s so far in the future there is no such thing as blindness and I could live a week seeing

And finally, if you could ask your pet three questions and get answers, what would they be? For me,

Why do you give so much love?

What is the best thing you like to do and are you in any kind of pain.

I hope their answers would be (Because I love you so much and I’m so happy here. Having my tummy tickled and hearing you and Daddy laughing and no pain at all.)

OK, TV time after a clean in the cooking room. Sleep well tonight and only have beautiful dreams. That’s an order. X

DIARY OF THE DANCE BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good afternoon Bloggets. Gosh, time is just running away with me of late. I miss you guys, I need to chill so here I am at my lap top. What a busy morning, some issues talked about over the breakfast table that has left me with knots in my stomach and the plumber came out to fix our bath from leaking so dealt with him, he is really nice though, must be a plumber thing as the guys who did our kitchen were also really sweet guys. Plumbers I said… Not other workers, though the electrician was fine just the rest we had problems with. Well my bathroom plumber couldn’t wait to see our kitchen. I said nothing about the trouble we had but straight away, he walked in and noticed the holes behind the glass splashback that were not filled in by the joiner then, as he walked to the conservatory, he believe it or not, noticed the holes in the floor the joiner did. So, here’s me thinking you are going to have to look closely to see the errors, and he saw them immediately.

Anyway, a great thing has come out of his visit. He gave me the phone number of a handy man, remember the days when handy men used to charge very little? No longer. Gosh it’s where we live I’m sure, but beggars can’t be choosers and we need someone like this new guy I have the number of to do loads of things like we still haven’t put our smoke alarms up. I’m scared to go through something I shouldn’t, normally nothing would phase me hanging pictures all sorts, but, this house is like no other, it’s cursed. Smile. Everything we touch breaks and even things we don’t touch busts. So, I shall leave everything to the handy man. He’s coming next week and he sounds nice, the plumber said he is a great guy, and the plumber is a lovely trusting person. Well, that is what I think so far, but you know I have been wrong in the past. One thing about this plumber, he is fast at what he does. Gosh if we ever need anything major done he’s the guy, so at last, we are getting a portfolio of good guys. I have a great gardener, and I know a good electrician and a couple of plumbers, but it’s took all of our marriage to find these people. I can’t ever move house now. Smile.

Hub working from home today, so I can’t be as noisy as I normally am as in vacuuming the floors, filling buckets with water or just in general. But I have been sorting our shelving. We have a glass and chrome tall shelf in our bedroom full of cosmetics. I have been throwing away old things like creams and trying to identify other items. Using my ap on my iPhone, Tap Tap See. I take a picture and wait.

And wait a bit longer.

Then the answer comes over my phone.

“White and purple bottle.”” Very helpful. Another picture is taken and the answer comes up.

“Hand holding plastic bottle.”” Great. I didn’t know my hand was holding a bottle! But third time lucky, it reads what is in my hand.

“250g bottle””

Of what?

But then a box read first time, picture of lady in white dress. Then I turned the box over and it read the name of the perfume straight away. So at least I know there is a picture on it. Hahaha.

Let’s just say it took me about forty minutes and I have only done three shelves out of five. And I got interrupted by a phone call that required my brain. So, I had to go and find it.

Not in that drawer. Smile.

I made rice last night for part of our dinner. I washed it first over and over. It’s scary the arsenic that is in rice. I watched a documentary about it not long ago and it put me off rice for so long but now I’m back on it but will wash it thoroughly. Then I put boiling water on top of it in the pan. Put the lid on and boil quite fast. Stirring after a couple of minutes then turning it low with lid on. After another couple of minutes, I stir again then add more boiling water with salt and two stock cubes and stir for a minute then put the lid on and simmer for another few minutes until there is no water left in the pan then pour into a dish and it’s lovely and fluffy, put the pan back on the heat with water and salt to make it easier to clean. Getting used to putting a smaller amount in the pan as it swells up. I know how it feels. Seriously, sadly, I’m still putting weight on. I need to get on the treadmill. I hope this weekend will be the start. My friend was trying to encourage me as she is a runner. She runs so many miles per week. Across lanes, fields and parklands. Like a wild horse. Haha.

Oh, must tell you this, when the plumber came, he was walking through our sitting room. I had done my best impression of being a sighted person, not that it matters as he knows I am blind, but, still, very sighted not so sighted Fifi, wasn’t aware that the plumber had stopped to write something down. Well, what did I do? Kept walking.

Right through him.

As I caught him, haha, because when I bump into someone, I totally do a body slam. Taking them off their feet. So, there I am, arms out, hands on his very full waist and rather than just making sure I hadn’t flattened him, then at speed removing the grip I had on him, I kept my hands on him. Whilst we joked about how I at least caught him. Then he laughed and apologised for not telling me he was going to stop, and still. My grip remained firmly. As then we laughed more, with his apprentice behind me, probably wondering what the heck was going on, in a line, the plumber began to wiggle his hips and sing the Conga and proceed to do a dance. Well, still hands wrapped around him, I laughed. Then realising what I had, was, doing, I left go, red faced. Talk about familiarity?  I said to Hub, heck, I hope I haven’t scared him off, but Hub laughed and said, you are joking, he will be here every week now.  He did say as he left the front door, to keep in touch. I don’t think he meant that kind of touch though. I’m sure he meant by phone if I needed anything. Goodness knows what the young lad thought behind us.

It’s another beautiful day, my outside windows need cleaning. May do that later but of course I can’t do upstairs waiting for our window cleaners to come, they only come twice a year. They do such a brilliant job when they come and they are lovely guys, but why only twice a year?  With the pollution from the main road here the windows get so dirty. Well, saves having to pull the blind down I guess. Oh, talking of that, last night, there Hub and I are, relaxing, sofa in lounge position laid back, watching TV and the summer night breeze gently blowing in with the lovely fragrance of the sweet blooms following behind the soft wind, and suddenly there is a knock to our window, no, not the door, oh no. Our open window. There’s Hub and I totally doing an impression of flat throws on a sofa and suddenly this voice spoke through the open window.

 Ooo’oops.

*Quickly, press the button on the sofa’s and let’s get ourselves in an upright situation.* Trying to compose ourselves, Hub shyly said to me. “I’ll let you get the door. The door, I shall just go to the window. I was joking. At the front door, I was met by a lady who has took over our front garden and peers through our windows on a regular basis and I have learned that she looks into our back garden too. Long story. Anyway, she gave me a rose. It smelt so beautiful. It was off her rose bush. One rose she had on and bless her, she brought it for me. One rose, on a full bush. Not surprised as she cuts mine off as soon as they begin to bloom. It’s such a shame as they are so beautiful if only they were allowed to be left alone, but she does take the weeds up for me and for the back garden, I have a gardener who does that. I have lost so many lovely flowers though I don’t have a single flower in our garden I think the slugs must have eaten them. As my Son said a few weeks ago, Mum people who have nice gardens, are old. They spend all day in their garden. When I think back my ex used to spend hours in our garden, but he wasn’t old, just a brilliant gardener. I love flowers though and want to introduce more but will have to sort out so much more than slugs before I can tackle that. This lady told me a few weeks ago, that she found 11 snails under my shrub in my front garden. Not sure what she was doing under the shrub, but she said she lifted it up…. Well, OK, and she found them, so she stamped on them, oh no, and left them there.

She then told me that she knew I had said that there were loads in our front grass. I said no, I said ants, not snails. She then a week later, brought ant killer.

For indoors.

Got a message from my Brother last night, well at one this morning as I was online. When I say message, I’m not a Clairvoyant, it was a message on Facebook. I haven’t heard from him for months. He’s working hard as ever. He is a workaholic. As is my Brother in laws. Saying that, my Hub never stops either, and when he works from home I have such admiration for him and his dedication as he is on the phone and typing all day he got up today at half seven and started to work at eight. He wishes we could go and support his team this weekend as they are building a raft and racing it down the river for charity, but I said to him, apart from it’s miles away, how on earth would we cope with crowds of people wondering where on earth to go? It’s on the banks of the river, what, with Waggatail? Oh, yes, I can see the news headlines now. Especially that particular river is frequented by loads of gigantic rats with leather jackets on. And hard hats. Knuckle duster rings and workmen’s boots.

Well I shall leave you with that thought for now and wish you a very happy weekend, just remember that not everyone around the world is out having fun. It may seem like it, but that is because you only hear of those people. The ones who are staying in, don’t tell you. Am I, going out? Tomorrow to the shops, woopidy doo. Smile. Xx

DIARY OF GOOD FOOD BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good afternoon Bloggets. Gosh it’s boiling hot here today. I have not long been in. I went to my favourite tea room with my lovely friend and we had a fantastic afternoon. We get on so well. She’s a great friend for sure.  She is the friend my Son says is like a footballer’s wife. She is tall, slim, beautiful and wears designer clothing in a classy kind of way. She passes my Son at work and he says she is with her friends each time he see’s her and all of them are glamorous. So, one feels compelled to try my best when I do go out, which is a good thing as I don’t normally try too hard now days I’m more practical than I have ever been, so it’s nice once in a while to try at least. So, what colours, oh, no, well you would laugh. I put on a long skirt I know it’s navy blue, but just to clarify I asked the ap on my iPhone. It read, black, that I can deal with, OK, it’s wrong as I do know it’s navy, but what it said afterwards?

Curtain.

Well, could have been worse, could have said tent!

My top I thought was red, I guessed right, as the ap agreed, but when my friend came, she always says the sweetest thing and she said I looked lovely I asked her to confirm the colour of my top, she said cerice. I asked her was she sure, was it not red? She said no, it’s definitely cerice. Hmm. Out came the hair clip my Son bought me in Japan, as it is red, so my hair now looking em, relaxed. Then my earrings came out, red, as for my hand bag and shoes, well great, as they are navy so matched the skirt.

My friend and I chat from the doorstep to the location. We travelled quite a few miles to the place I love. As we were driving along, she realised she had missed her turn. So, she went a different way, she joked with me and said she was taking me the scenic way. We laughed and I told her I loved the view from the window.

It’s in a beautiful village. Typical English village. Cottages scattered with roses climbing up and around the doors. A beautiful clock and quaint chocolate box pubs, outside most eateries, there is a dog bowl for water. Oh, it’s beautiful. We sat in the garden and really enjoyed ourselves and though it started to rain, the owner put an umbrella over us and not long afterwards, it stopped so the beautiful weather we have been experiencing could continue.

Oh, we laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. We are from the same part of the country and there is nothing like the sense of humour of Geordies. We laugh so our insides hurt but in a nice kind of pain

Two pots of tea for me, two coffees for my friend savouries and cakes later, it was sadly time to come home. It will be at least six weeks before I see her again though she only lives five minutes’ drive away. Her life is so busy. She is off on holiday to a Greek island in a few days. She is home a week then off to Italy for two weeks. Then she has loads of cricket matches to attended for her youngest Son.

It sounds like our local school are playing cricket now outside. I love the sound of that in the summer. And in our avenue of all sorts, the neighbours have started to play croquet on the lawn. This summer has been so beautiful the best I can ever remember in our part of the country that is, as for the North East where I come from, they have had it cooler and lots of rain in comparison to us. In Cornwell, they have had dangerous floods people have had to be rescued from their rooftops. Such a little country but such diversity when it comes to weather.

Today has been lovely, but tinged with sadness. It’s the anniversary of my Dad. 19 years ago, today my Darling Dad left this world for another, I hope. And I hope it is a fantastic life and land he has found.

I can’t believe it’s been so long. Gosh, I miss him so much. It doesn’t get easier, or less painful, it just changes, that’s the only way I can describe what I feel. Still, there isn’t a day when I don’t think of him. He would have loved my Hub and my Hub would have loved my Dad.

Waiting for my shopping now to be delivered. Then the painful task of putting it away. Gosh I don’t like that job. I try to stick to fresh items they are normally easier to identify.

In our news, today it says that we are going to have to work until we are 68. The retiring age was 60 or 65. They say we are living longer so should work longer. They say soon we will be living until we are well over 100. Imagine working at 99?

This blog should have been posted yesterday, but like today I have been so busy, so here it is at last. Before I go, browsing through the shopping on line today, I got thinking about trying new recipe’s. Then I went to the BBC good food guide. How do these dishes sound?

Braise butter beans or 'gigantes' with tomatoes, onion and garlic and serve with tender lamb fillet and crumbled feta cheese

Or

Pack salty Greek cheese into jars with olive oil, thyme, tomatoes, artichokes and olives - mop up the goodness with bread

Yum. I love Greek food, though of course being a vegetarian, it’s not lamb I would eat.  Will find time to write more tomorrow I promise, right now, I have meatballs to prepare for dinner and running late with work today. Xx

MY WRITING BY FIONA CUMMINGS

How many blogs I have deleted, well, writing before they become blogs. Why? Because it’s more like my old style of writing rather than what I have been writing the past two years.

Part of me wishes I could go back to how I used to write. The other part of me thinks I’m going to quit writing here because my hands are tied. How I wish I could be free to write the dark poetry or the deep words I would use or even the true stories I would talk about. But now it’s all about flowers and frills. So not always how I would like to express myself.

I can’t even write how I really feel anymore. I’m a writer imprisoned by others! Perhaps one day I will rebel and everything will come out again. How about that?

Yesterday I wrote about where I write, on some days outside, and where I would like to write. Today, I want to talk about styles of writing!

What kind of writer am I? I hope someone will answer, as I can’t really put myself on any particular book shelf. My words are so diverse. I don’t know if I can be put under any kind of category.

Your opinions I will welcome.

OH SO BEAUTIFUL BY FIONA CUMMINGS

OH, SO BEAUTIFUL

BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Oh, she is amazing

Rightly named Grace

Look at her tiny fingers

And her button nose

Her beautiful face

She has found her place

In our winter hearts

Warming every part

Oh, she is so cute

Her minuscule mitten

And knitted boots

As she looks up with such trust

To love this little darling

Is an absolute must

Oh, she is so sweet

I can’t wait to show her off

Tell all those she will meet

Who she is and what she means to us

Oh, so I make a fuss

And so, what?

When it comes to perfection

She has filled every slot

Ticking every box

Oh, look at those frilly socks

She keeps pulling them off

Tiny toes

Cheeks of rose

And skin of butter milk

Hair like silk

And eyes full of surprise

Wondering what mischief to get up to next

How can I ever get vex

At such an angel baby

Oh, she is so beautiful

Makes my life full

A PLACE IN THE SON BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Good afternoon Bloggets.

My sweet friend and our Blogget has just messaged me. He’s from India and is now in Thailand messaging me in England. Technology. I sometimes love it. I am so happy when you are happy. Especially lovely people like him. He is swimming today, oh how wonderful. My friend JB has a house in our Capital and one in beautiful Northumberland my homeland. She has a huge garden. She loves to swim and I said the last time we were together she could build a swimming pool in her back garden. Gosh, if I had her house I would. Even if she had to sell her house in London and buy a smaller property. Hub said last night when we are old and wrinkly. Haha. It would be a dream to buy a property with a garden big enough to have a pool. It would have to be indoor of course but if I get my wish, we would live abroad so it could be outdoor. I would love to live in a place all of my friends lived too so we could be together. And help each other. Just be there every day to chill and make each other’s lives better. But have our own houses to live a normal life too. I miss my friends, we don’t see one another enough. Still pondering about a reunion my heart wants to go to in September. My Husband said go, he will come too, but Still thinking.

Right now, I’m outside enjoying this glorious summer we are having. Apart from the dreadful cars flying by on the motorway outside our house, birds sing despite the engines. I’m sitting in the shade. It’s so warm. My dog has spent the past ten minutes sorting out our recycling bin. Bringing out all she likes to play with. A plastic bottle. The final straw was a can, oh, yes, that makes a lovely sound Wagga. I removed the bottle in case she cuts her mouth as they can get sharp. As for the can? I don’t have a clue where that is. She did try to give me it to throw for her, but when I said naughty, she ran off with it. Then brought a burst ball and placed that on my knee. The ball was thrown in by a child. With two dogs, not a good idea. I don’t know what has got into my dog of late, but she has gone from the rather calm dog, to a crazy hyper thing. I am wondering if her dog food has changed? Not as far as I know, as it’s the same brand, but really even the Little Fella, after a really busy working day on Saturday, then Sunday over an hour of free running, both of them were wanting to play.  Normally my Waggs would take a week to recover from such a weekend. I need her energy.

I have classic FM on and so far, I’m not impressed. We have had Ave Satani, the tune from the Omen, lovely, and this dreadful tune playing now, I think it is Wolfgang Amadeus! I’m waiting for something like Adagio for strings. Something that will relax me into writing poetry for summer weddings as I have three to do over the next ten days.

Why can’t I have a house in the south of France, or by a beautiful lake in Italy, perhaps as I sip on freshly squeezed juice looking over craggy mountains, or verdant hills in Tuscany? Rather than sitting in a back yard, surrounded by dead plantation with noisy cars and vans passing and the fragrance of our lovely dog run that is cleaned daily but only takes one dog to relax there and oh my. Suddenly an imagination is required and I have one, good job, just sometimes the above would make writing so much more beautiful for me.

My Son today has gone out to I think, the beach. Lucky thing. It’s not long before his competition for work, in the whole country, he is one of 16 to be chosen. I am sure he won’t win as he has only been at his current place of work for ten months and the other applicants or entries have on average been working there for five years plus. But to be entered is a good thing and it’s something he can do on his own without a certain person being involved. I wish he would spend time with his friends but sadly he always puts all of his eggs into one basket. He is doing something called mud Mother or something like that, to be honest, it sounds like hell but at the same time really good fun. His girlfriend is driving him. Odd really, as he has a car.

He is doing it with all the other lads he knows and should be training with them, but right now, he is training his girlfriend. To have a fitter figure I imagine for their next holiday in October where they will take their forth holiday of the year. The Caribbean is their next place to visit.

Well I have spent enough time out here, though I could write all day to you but I have to go in soon and prepare dinner. Before I shall try to write a poem so at least I can say I have done some proper writing work today, whereas writing to you isn’t really work, is it? More like chatting to you all.

Thank you for your emails. I shall write to you soon. Thank you also for suggestions for a blog topic. Please keep your suggestions coming in. Tomorrow I’m looking forward to seeing my great friend. It’s been too long. We shall have three hours of chatting and drinking cups of tea in I hope a garden of my favourite tea room. Until next time, take care. X

ALL GONE NOW BY FIONA CUMMINGS

Well every day on FaceBook, I get asked to join different groups, and some have a good reason behind the request, but todays, em, not sure what I would do in such a group.

 Urban Monk Academy

My blog page has had over 200,9000 views so far and my blog I last wrote Hair today gone tomorrow, has had 215 views since yesterday.

Today we have had views from the UK, US, Germany, Canada, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Australia, Norway and South Africa. My stats only show the top ten countries, in total, the top ten views have been from

United Kingdom 90,875

United States 63,443

Russia, 9,284

Ukraine 7,185

Germany, 5,580

Canada, 3000,75

Australia, 2,228

South Africa, 1,450

France, 1,431

Poland, 839

And so many more countries, some I had not even heard of until you looked and I searched the wonderful name of your country.  I wish I could see every country that have viewed as I hate leaving you out, but people from other countries, may look a couple of times per week and to get into the top ten, people have to view quite a lot. Poland, gosh, will you be in the top ten next time I look? I hope so as you have been in it from the start. Mexico used to feature a lot, but it’s slipped away now, is it number eleven, or twenty four, smile, who knows, all I know is that I am still amazed by your loyalty.

I had an interview to do last night. I’m never nervous doing these kinds of things. I love the challenge.  This guy is an English teacher. Gosh, I would have loved to have been a teacher. I love it when I give talks to schools. I don’t do as many now, but the kids are so open.

We were waking up this morning by a squeaky dog. Wagga wanted the toilet.

At 5 a.m.

Hub had to leave very early for work again he is opening up for early starters. I didn’t want to get up today as facing another day of housework is a little daunting. How many more days can I even stand this?

My Son has the day off work, he is in our town, getting a haircut drinking coffee in a very posh coffee shop and buying sports clothes.

It’s boiling out there. But in my sitting room, it’s as if I have air conditioning. So cool and lovely.

Because of a peeping Tom, we need badly a solid gate in our back yard. So that is next on the list.  Long story. Smile, but at least the person I’m talking about was honest and said they were looking.

I put a bath mat in the washing machine today. I thought I put it on the short wash as that was all that was in. Luckily before my Son ran off for his day out, I caught him and asked him how long my machine was on for? I thought twenty minutes. Turned out it was blooming 3 hours and 20 minutes. Oops. Well quickly he put it on rinse and that will have to do.

Times like this I need to know Braille. Then I could read what we wrote down as Boy Wonder read the machine to Hub, Hub Brailed the answers he is fine, he can do the washing and know what number to put it on.  Thing is, Hub doesn’t do the washing. Ha-ha.

He does help with the ironing though and he is great, only thing he can’t iron, is shirts. Not sure why, as his tops t/shirts are great.

My eating plan has so gone down the toilet. I had loads of toast today, really failed. I had four. Remember I did so well I got down to eating no bread or potatoes. For weeks, I did that it killed to get there but then I totally failed.  If only I felt better when I ate bread, but it makes me feel bad and I am starving a couple of hours later.

So, a bit of a boring day, floors, dusting, worktops need a polish in my kitchen rather than a wash. And ironing, on a boiling day. Not good at least the steak casserole I made yesterday is still there for dinner tonight. I made some for dinner yesterday and there is some left for tonight. Not sure what I will eat. I made a quiche yesterday, I can’t believe it, it was, huge and gone after only five hours. Only eaten by the three of us, but nothing left, here’s me thinking it would do as a snack for yesterday and today? Haha, not a chance. BW has asked me to make another one today. Nope, but I will for the weekend. I made it with six eggs, cheese, tomatoes, mushroom, green pepper and onion. Hub loves it as does our Son, hence why there was nothing left by last night.

I have some work to do in our garden too. Oh, and the big bathroom to clean. Still waiting for the plumber to come and fix the plug. It is under guarantee but it’s been weeks and weeks perhaps two months since he said he would come out, I know he will, just when? Every week he says he will let me know, but he forgets. Oh, and another phone call to the tax people and later I have a phone call from our bank they are trying to get me to change our mortgage over from one bank to theirs. Thing is, we are happy with who we have, but they swear they can save us money. And, I have a call to make to my mobile provider as my contract is coming to an ending. Few. Can I do this in four and a half hours? I don’t like to work when Hub gets in. I do dishes and perhaps the floor for last thing at night, but that’s all. So, I better get off, oh, and how can I forget, there is the blooming dog run to clean. Oh, the joys of being a stay at home whatever I am.
